I have a 10 year old daughter who loves to play animal crossing on my ds. she also likes to time travel. back in dec she decided she was going to go as far in the future as the game would let her. X_X I had 8 villagers before she did that, rosie moved out as a result of the time traveling, and I've had the same remaining 7 villagers for the past 6 months.
I thought the only way to fix it was to start over from the beginning, but then about 3 weeks ago I read a lovely little glitch faq and synched my ds and the game clocks. that fixed my turnip issues but not my neighbors. do I need to just wait a little longer? I've tried sending letters, being mean to the animals (which I know doesn't do a thing but it's fun >D), just about everything except wifi-ing (I only have dial-up at home x_x). will wifi-ing help? do I just need to be a little more patient? I'd rather not start over, I've been playing for over a year. x_x if I could, I'd buy a ds lite and another game so my daughter and I could play together (I really want nookington's ;_; ) and I'd just move my character from one card to another, but I can't.

Well, I do know that inter-game relations is the best method to getting villagers to migrate.
I'm not sure how long you'll have to wait, but villagers should rotate every... hum... couple to three months?
Ehh, sorry. That doesn't really answer your question, huh?
EDIT: I just recalled a method...
Time Travel. (If you do not support this feature, then do not read on.)
What I've found myself doing is TTing a day ahead, not doing much, saving and quitting, then going a day ahead again. I think that villagers will move in/out after only a week of doing this.
