okay so right now i have a gibson SG special. (pic below)

and i think i want to upgrade to a gibson SG 3, it would be like a big step up from the one i have, but not a different guitar. (pic below)

so has anyone heard anything about it?

Hm.. Well before you go out and buy it, why don't you go and try other guitars? See if theres another guitar that has a better "feel" than the one you want to upgrade from?

well there's nothing wrong with the feel, i love SGs and still do, but i just want to try out a 3 and see if i like the 57 classic humbuckers better than the 490s that are on mine right now. if it gives me a better sound, i'll save up for it.

i say go to a guitar store try out the guitar you want and bring your orginal one and just play them back and forth to see which one is better
