Pools of dried blood surrounded the blue fallen wolf. He had slept off a lot of the pain but there were still a few open wounds and scratches that festered from battle. It would be a month before the marks were completely gone. That was if Mizer was lucky enough for the marks to be gone.
His eye lids lifted slowly. This proved to be a harder task then he could have ever thought it to be. His yellow and white eye gazed the surrounding area. It took him a minute to figure out why he was in pain and where he was. A hot stinging sensation that echoed through his entire body. Harsh and unforgiving. Not something pleasant that you would ever want to wake up.
His eyes caught sight of Psyche. She was still K.O.ed, lying there stiff, yet her chest moved up and down breathing softly. He had kept his promise. A smiled crept its way on his face, he was happy for her. He tried with all his might to get up but found this was an even harder task then opening his eyes. That fight had left him weak. He had given his all for Psyche and it had paid off. He was lucky to be still breathing.

Psyche heard him move adn her head jolted up, which she instantly regretted since she had a pounding headache from when he had headbutted her and finished the fight. That made her groan a little, but she still felt one thing: Happiness. Something that had been absent from her life so long she could hardly believe it had returned. Mizer had kept his promise. He had set her free. And he was still there... though a good half of that she was willing to bet was because of the injuries she had given him during the fight.
She had quite a few of her own still to deal with. Though less bleeding injuries than Mizer did. Still, she couldn't help but offer him a weak smile, "You alright?" She asked, though she didn't particularily physicly feel alright.
Mentally however, she was practically on top of the world.

Mizer's tail moved side to side weakly. It was painful but he was happy to see she was alright. The stinging sensation seemed to numb a bit as his feelings took flight. It was odd that he was happy she was alright. It was odd in general how he felt. He had never cared for anyone in the world but him self. Though he loved his mother and pack, this feeling was deeper.
"Yeah," Mizer said with a sorry tone in his voice. He was glad that he had not hurt to bad. He had given her his all and won, though Psyche was an awesome warrior. In all truth it was almost a fluke he won. The goddess must have smiled down upon the both of them that night when their fight took place. He was just happy she was alright.
"Can you move anything?" He asked weakly.

"Every time I do, my head hurts. How about you?" She asked, eqally concerned about him. She, who had forgotten what it felt like to care for someone else... suddenly did. All these feelings that had been gone for so long came flooding back to her. It was so powerful, so moving, that she almost didn't know what to do with the emotions.
Mizer was alright. She was alright. He had broken her curse. That meant that... she loved him. Inescapable. Even if she had hated him, which she hadn't, it would be gone now with the feeling of happiness that came to her. So many freedoms she had lost... were back.

Mizer weakly dragged his body over towards Psyche. It was a painful process but Mizer endured the pain. As soon as he was close enough, his head rested on hers. Her body warmth joined with his. His eye lids fell some as he laid there.
"I'm sorry if I got blood on you," He said with closed eyes. Her breathing he could feel and hear. This was unlike him to be so close to another wolf with out being paranoid. "Let me rest some," He said weakly. He felt better feeling her neck under his.

"It's fine... I'm already covered in it anyway. And you're nice and warm... it can get cold out here at night," Psyche smiled a little, glad to have Mizer close by. Glad to have him close by when she had been alone for so long. Not anymore. She was okay now. Everything was going to be alright.
Everything felt better now that he was there, "I think we both need more rest... you're a tough wolf to fight..."

Mizer gave a pitiful weak laugh that was more of a weezing noise. It rattled through his whole body causing pain to surge through is being, though he did not let Psyche know this. His eyes were still shut tightly refusing to open.
"You almost killed me," He said weakly, "My promise to you kept me going... I would have been killed if it was not for that." He panted a bit. Talking took a lot of energy. Though he could still be vocal, it just took a lot more effort. His body throbbed with pain. He was sure in a weak he would recover, but for now he just needed to rest with Psyche. Everything was going to be all right.

"Thank you... thank you so much for setting me free... I've been waiting... such a long time..." Psyche smiled weakly, "Gods... for so long I've waited to be free..." She laughed a little as well, but it was hard on her damaged ribcage, so she stopped. Mizer had done a fair bit of damage to her as well it would seem.

Mizer opened his eyes again. This task proved to be a bit easier then before. He studied the female closely. An echo of the events from the night before lingered in his mind. Guilt consumed his heart slowly like poison. He had gotten pretty shook up him self but he had not meant to shake up Psyche as well. Mizer was a tad old fashion and did not like hurting girls, though this one would have killed him if he had not. The only light of redeeming his past deeds was the fact that he had done so to free her of her curse. It gave him a bit of relief.
"I'm sorry," He said in almost a whisper in her ear. He was truly sorry for having to hurt her. If he had planned it out he would have just head butted her from the beginning, but he doubt that would have worked any ways.

Psyche opened her eyes and looked up at him, smiling slowly, "I'm not." Which she wasn't. She was glad she had fought him. Not so glad that they had beaten the crap out of her, and she felt like s**t now, it had been worth it. Everything had turned out right, and better than she had imagined.
She was not old fashioned. She was willing to beat anything that came near her down. Anything but girly, Psyche was made to fight. And had every intention of fighting as long as she could, "I guess the only question now is... what now?"

Mizer felt a smile curl upon his maw. This girl was tough and he respected her for that. Of course they had both gotten banged up pretty bad, but Psyche was free now. She could feel her emotions again. If she chose to she could even maybe stay with Mizer. Though Mizer did not want to be so direct with her. He had promised her that she would be free to do what she so chose. He would not force her to be with him if she did not want to. Though a huge part of him wanted her to stay with him. Her warmth made his heart flutter.
"I-I dont know," He replied after a pause. "I guess for now we should not try to move much." He knew this was a dangerous choice but what else was there to chose? In this state, the two wolves could easily be defeated by another animal or eaten. This worried the wolf a bit.

"We need to move away from here... the other wolves who are after me... they won't know what's happened, that I've been beaten. If we stay here like this, they'll kill you and try to defeat me. It doesn't work that way though... I lose once, that's it." Psyche sighed, not wanting to move, but the stink of the dead bodies... what she was so used to suddenly seemed over-whelming. Disgusting. She had lived with them for years. Why did she only just notice how awful it was?
"...I don't want to move... I like it here with you..." Psyche smiled a little, but shook her head, "But we do have to move. It's a miracle someone hasn't tried already this morning. I usually get one or two a day at the very least..."

Mizer closed his eyes. He knew that it was not safe. It was an odd thing the two had lived through the night. A bit too odd in his opinion, but he dared not question it.
"I know," He said weakly. His breathing was slow and steady, like the kind of breathing done when you were asleep.
A white a blue figure of a wolf had followed Mizer. Though he was not aware of this. He had watched over the two wolves in secrete as they recovered, making sure no suitors or other animals came near the two. Though Mizer would never know what his brother had done for him. Trent did not need thanks. After all, Mizer was Trent's only living sibling. He was always going to look at Mizer as his younger brother and love him and protect him. He lurked in the shadow's watching over the two.

Psyche stood shakily, "Come on... we'd better at least get a little away from here... the smell... I suddenly... I just don't like the smell. I used to love it... it frightened away the smaller ones... but now I just... I just want to get away..." she walked away slowly and then she stopped and looked over her shoulder at him, "...You'll come with me... won't you? I feel... safer when you're here."
Psyche could almost feel another wolf close by, as she often did when they were. It was because of the area... she knew it too well. She had been alone there too long. Far too long. All alone with nothing to do except for learn how to fight more effectivly, and learn how to tell when her enemies were coming. She wanted to leave.
She wanted to leave and never come back.

Mizer tried his best to get up but he could not stand right away. He stumbled to the ground, but kept trying shakily until he finally got his bearings. Once he was up waling was not a problem. The only thing that was a problem were his wounds. They stung at him as he stood. But Psyche was right, they needed to leave this place before any wolves attacked or worse. He did not know Trent had followed him protecting him and Psyche while they slept so he was still very alert.
"Yeah," He said softly, " We better go," He bent over and tried his best with the last of his strength to help her up with his teeth lightly pulling on her back neck. Like a mother cat grasping at one of her kittens or a mother wolf with her pups.
