Another morning of fruitless searching. The golden haired soquili gave a snort of irritation and resisted the urge to vent his frustration by pounding a nearby clump of grass to mush. Searching for his opposite was a harder task then he thought it would be. Someone as flashy as Dark should be relatively easy to find, but Krad had seen neither a glimpse of that distinctive purple hair, nor heard a trace of that irritatingly distinctive voice belonging to his rival. Ears flat to his head, Krad lashed his tail a few times instead as he pondered where to look next. As loathe as he was to think such an idea, perhaps asking some of the others he'd seen roaming the surrounding areas would give him a direction to head towards. Surely someone knew where Dark lived in this place. But for now, it would have to wait. Giving a heavy sigh, Krad folded his legs and lay down in the shade of a large tree, ears perked now for sounds. He'd start his search later after he'd rested a bit. Certaintly relaxation wouldn't hurt any, especially for one as tightly strung as Krad was at the moment.

The meadow was a great reprieve from the forest on days like today. The sun was shining, birds were singing and rabbits were leaping and fighting amongst themselves for breeding rites. The blue daisies in her mane were still alive and fragrant. Nothing could ruin this day for her.
Well, maybe running into a kalona...
Yes, getting eaten definitely made one's day worse. But, for all intents and purposes that wouldn't happen. The mare lowered her head to sample the fresh grass as she walked a little. The muscle on her whithers twitched as a fly landed on it and she merely glanced up at the annoyance. "Titchy bugger." She muttered to herself.

He had quite nearly dozed off in the gentle warmth of the afternoon, tail flicking now and then to ward off the bugs. But his peaceful silence was shredded at the sound of another's apparent approach. Muscles tensed up slightly as his eyes opened just a bit, almost too content at the moment to do much of anything. It was rare when he let himself relax. As he gazed around, he saw no one in view in the grass beyond where he lay, and as such, the white winged male put it off to mid-day madness of a sort. Hearing voices was not all that uncommon an occurrence to him on such days like he was having, when he was tense and weary of his search. Giving another snort, he tossed his head once in an unsuccessful attempt to move the long lock of hair falling over his forehead from his eyes before letting his eyes shut once again, muscles relaxing once more as he heard no more disembodied voices floating about in the air.

The little mare kept grazing, not really paying much attention to where her legs were carrying her. She was more concerned about running into anyone who might wish to harm her. Almost everyone went to the meadows. You never knew who you might run into. But she found kalonas had a slightly different scent to them, old blood.
Flower caught a glimpse of white fabric and feathers before she stopped, ears perked, and set her sapphire eyes on the stallion. She blinked a few times, trying not to stare. She had never seen a clothed Soquili before, let alone one so handsomely done. She shook her head slightly, realising she had been staring and went back to grazing. 'Where are your manners? Ah, well he's asleep...so no worries.' She told herself mentally.

Stilling as the rustling continued to come closer, he flicked an ear in the small mare's direction as she appeared through the grasses, almost hidden behind some of the taller ones. Cracking one golden cat-slit eye open slightly, the white clad stallion studied her just as she was observing him. "It's rude to stare." He said, voice almost a purr as he spoke. Flicking his ears once again, he yawned widely and let his eyes open fully now, watching her reaction closely. He'd never seen once so small. Maybe she was a foal lost from her parents. If that was the case, he had no intention of helping her back. Selfish, but he had his own things to do today rather.

Flower's eyes widened and she blushed deeply. He'd startled her quite badly. "A-Ah'm sorreh. Ah've j-j-jus' nev'a seen a-a Soquili s-such as yer'self." She admitted. When she was scared she her soft, English tone slipped into a thick cockney. It was amazing that such a baritone sound could come from such a squat creature. 'Hoof in mouth, hoof in mouth! Don't be so damn awkward!' Her voice chided. The mare wouldn't meet his eyes.

Before he could help it, a faint grin had curved his lips as she blushed and stumbled over her words. "I'm sorry to have startled you." He apologized, though his tone was more amused than apologetic. He stayed laying down, suspecting that if he were to get up, he'd startle the small mare even worse. He was in a calm mood so such an idea didn't appeal to him at that moment. Maybe later perhaps. At her last words, Krad's gaze flicked from the other to himself as his head turned slightly to study the cloth he wore. "Am I really that odd looking?" He asked, ears tilting forward as amusement darkened his voice a bit more. His head lowered slightly as he tried to catch her eyes again. They were such an interesting shade of sapphire-purple.

Flower's eyes widened a bit. "N-No, yer no' o-odd lookin' in tha l-l-least!" She told him honestly. "Ah've jus' nev'a l-laid eyes on a-a clothed S-Soquili. S'really q-q-quite love'leh." She added, not too sure he'd be keen on being told he was lovely. " 'Ow rude 'o m-me." She said, a bit upset at herself for forgetting such things. "I'm F-Flow'a." She offered. "M-Migh' I 'a-ave yer name?" She asked tilting her head to one side slightly. Once she calmed down shed loose the thick brogue, but as often as she thought she was messing up the encounter it'd take a lot to ease her nerves.

Krad blinked, brow raising as his ears tilted back some. "Lovely?" That was something he'd never been called before. It didn't even dawn on him to bristle at the comment, he was rather taken aback at being called something that would more fit a mare. As her words sunk in, white wings rustled as the stallion watched her closely, though he kept the annoyed words behind his teeth, trying to think of some more polite retort to her odd words. The moment passed as the small mare, Flower, introduced herself, still stumbling over her words as she spoke. If she didn't calm down soon, he half expected her to faint or something of the sort. "I'm Krad." He replied smoothly, letting his head dip in a formal looking bow of greeting. He couldn't do much more than that, being on the ground such as he was. Lifting his head, he huffed and tossed his head to shift the long lock of hair from his eyes as he studied her once again. "What might someone so...delicate looking be doing out all alone?" He asked carefully, not wanting to upset her any more than she seemed to be. The blond had quite nearly said small, but that would have far too insulting he thought.

Flower quirked a brow. Had he just called her 'delicate'? Well that was surely better than, 'Oh my God you're SO tiny!'. The male had tact, and she rather liked that trait. 'But then again he could mean I look frail. But I don't so...yes, tactful.' She mused and offered him a soft smile.
She dipped her head in a slightly informal bow. "S'a pleasure to m-m-meet you." She said genuinely. "M-My t-two-legger would rather I get o-out a bit. T-That and I don't see the n-need to have her f-f-follow me 'round like I-I'm some sort of filly." She explained. Her accent was now more relaxed and easy-going, not so formal sounding as the typical Londoner's. She really had no idea the change even took place. She paused, wondering if she had said anything wrong, but thought better of asking. She didn't want him to think she was completely socially inept. Even though she was darn close to it.

Ah yes. Tactful. You could call him that. He would have been amused at that aswell. But as it was, he just grinned back at her smile, tail swishing slightly over the short grass around him. It seemed this was just an all around amusing day for him, which didn't hurt since it was rather rare he had such enjoyable days in the recient past. "A pleasure I'm sure." Krad said with a grin before snorting and baring his teeth at the mention of the two leggers. The gold haired stallion and his own two legger didn't get along all that well. "No. Having one's two legger following your every move is not an experience I enjoy in the least." He agreed, ears flattening before he shook his head and relaxed once again. Krad realized a moment later that he might have spooked her with his...less then friendly reaction when she spoke of the two-leggers, but hopefully she wouldn't bolt. He had talked to so few others and the conversation was at least intelligent. A curious look crossed over his face as he thought of a tactful way to ask the mare just what she was, since he was rather loathe to just blurt out such a question. She wasn't a filly as she had just previously pointed out, but then, she wasn't a full grown soquili either. She looked to be some sort of midget, but he very well wasn't about to blurt that out.

A light chuckle escaped her lips as he looked at her. She was definitely calming down a bit, and to do so this quickly; in front of a male no less, was quite an accomplishment. She was used to the short comments and figured she'd venture a guess and just come out with it. The worst that could happen was he'd think she was mad for just randomly blurting out what she was. But she never really got any looks like the particular one he was wearing unless they didn't know what to make of her stature.
"Ever s-see a Usdia b-before love?" She asked, her eyes twinkling with amusement. It wasn't at his expense however, and if she were honest this was one of the best reactions she had ever gotten from a Soquili. Although, Tiffany took the cake. It was one thing to be called a filly, which she detested, but to be called a freak and asked what was wrong with her; she couldn't handle that again. Then it dawned on her. "O-Oh I'm n-n-not interrupting your r-rest am I?" She asked, her ears twitching back slightly as she remembered she had woken him.

Krad wasn't sure which to be more confused about. The word Usdia or her calling him love. Against his will, his ears flattened at the word. No one had ever called him that, even in passing. It was....unnerving to him. Skin twitching, he shook his head with a snort, deciding to not comment on the end of her sentence. "Usdia? No. I can't say that I have." He mused, glancing about before looking back at her. He couldn't help by give a chuckle as she started to stutter once again, shaking his head. "No. I wouldn't sleep out in the open. I was just relaxing and you haven't interrupted that at all." The gold haired male assured her with a faint grin before adding. "If you had interrupted my rest, you wouldn't still be standing there talking." He said softly, menace flicking in the golden eyes and teeth baring before the momentary fit of what could be taken as madness passed to leave him calm once again.

Flower smiled gently, but noticed his ears flatten and then it dawned on her. "Heh, I-I'm sorry...where I come f-from 'love's j-just another word u-used for mate." She paused, her face faltering. "Erm, which a-also means f-f-friend." She explained, her own ears tilting back at a forty-five degree angle. She had that issue with another before, but it hadn't bothered them for some reason.
'Oh God save me! Just when I find someone to talk to I screw up.' She thought bitterly, none of this showing on her face. She noticed the glint of madness and it made her slightly nervous. Her muscles tensed up and she held herself a bit more rigid. He looked unstable and she knew a thing or two about unstable stallions. She tried to look as if nothing was bothering her however, she managed, for the most part.
