Neo: "Hello everyone and welcome to The Akira Guild, what I hope will become the best place on Gaia for all of your Akira needs. Before I go any further I would like to say thanks to Sasami10, my Gaia boyfriend Ourant, Lamica, Nana-Chi and everyone else in my Friendlist, but especially firemaiden228. She gave me the largest donation and without that donation it would have taken months to open the guild. I salute all my peeps! This guild is for all fans of Katsuhiro Otomo's anime/ manga masterpiece, from the most die-hard fan right doen to those who have only just experienced it. We welcome all kinds of romantic pairings in this guild. Yaoi, Yuri, Heterosexual, we don't discriminate here. For me it's Tetsuo/Kaori and Yamagata/Kaisuke forever! Not only will we promote fun, lighthearted conversations and show off our Akira related picturesor knowledge but we will also hold intelligent disscussions and present our theories related to the Akira characters, story and phenomenon. And if you've got any pictures, links to websites and/or fanfiction that you want to post then by all means post. Just remember that no hentai content is allowed here. There will be contests held and those running this guild will announce to you when they take place among other details. All that being said and done please enjoy yourselves and make yourselves at home."

But let's think about it for a second. They are an important part of the story. And let's not forget the fact that in the anime Takashi did try to save Kaneda from being trapped inside the "white dome". The espers are you're favorite character? that's an intersting answer that I salute with something new...my Akira-based bump!" biggrin

I'd have to say that I like Tetsuo the most..
I just really like his character and the way he just has to have his way. Plus, you gotta love his red cape in the movie. Just gives that touch of an ego. xd

Despite my DECEPTIVE AVATAR, Tetsuo's my favourite character. Although Kaneda and Kai do come close. And why does no one post their art/fanfics here? Maybe 'cause they have none...? Augh. I should go make a thread for that, I've got oodles.
