(hey everybody, be sure to check my BIO before reading) (One more thing i'd like to clear before we start, I may speak formally but i like to get into character in an RP and my pirate character can be a little; strict, egocentric, snobby, please note that I am not as mean as my character smile have fun!) Unlike the other ships docked at the Island of Tortuga the Santo Columbia was... clean for starters. The white sails of the ship startled many pirates passing by, but a jolly roger hung on the sea breeze above the highest mast and a torn and burned spanish flag hung below it. The anchors of the ship split the sea itself as it docked at Tortuga's port. *Captain Michael stepped down from the deck of hsi ship followed by his advisor and first mate Victor.* Michael: "Well this seems to be the breeding place for villiany these days, we'll be sure to find a crew here. You have the sign?" Victor: "yes sir." *Victor nails the sign onto a post near the ship it reads. Looking for a crew: anyone with a death wish preferable. Plenty of Rum!* Victor: "Sir. about the sign..." Michael: "What is it Victor? Spit it out!" Victor: "I don't believe we have enough rum to keep up with the demand." *Victor points over to a man drinking from two bottles at once. The drunk stumbles over and catches himself. The drunk continues to stumble until he trips and falls into a trough and falls asleep.* Michael: "water down whatever we have." Victor: "Where are you going sir?" Michael: "Into town keep an eye on the ship and keep anyone one interested in joining on board." Victor: "What do we need from town sir? We are fully supplied already." Michael: "Ships..." *Michael leaves Victor behind and heads into town his Black Book at his side...*

*Michael walks along the docks and within his hand the black book returns to him.*
(thought) Botch... you are so eager to learn of my secrets? Mwahahaha...
*Finally, he comes to his own ship. Victor rushes to his Captain and notices that the Black book is out.*
Victor: "Any sucess Captain?"
Don Miguel: "Hard to say, there are plenty of deal makers here..."
*Michael places the black book within his coat pocket...*
Don Miguel: "We just have to find the right one to deal with. How were things here?"
Victor: "Not a single recruit sir, I am afraid buisness has been slow today..."
Don Miguel: "I will be in my Cabin, should any one come looking for a position deal with them yourself, but should a certain kibo Botch wonder by... send him directly to me."
Victor: "Yessir!"
*Victor salutes as Michael enters into his Cabin, it has the atmosphere of a buisness office. Fine moldings along the walls, A clearly expensive globe (someone has clearly shot a hole through SPain with a pistol), An elequint desk sits by the floor to ceiling windows opening to his personal Balcony. Don Miguel sits behind his desk and begins to look through the black notebook.*

Kibo walks aboard, tilting his head as he walks around the grisly looking ship. It had a definite Spanish look to it.
Kibo: ¡Oye! ¿Cualquiera aquí? ¿Dónde está el Capitán? ¡Almirante Kibo Botch está aquí verlo! (Translation: "Hey! Anyone here? Where is the Captain? Admiral Kibo Botch is here to see him!")

*Victor rushes to aid Kibo as he comes aboard.*
Victor: "So you are Admiral Botch? Yes, the Captain is expecting you. Apparently you two are in buisness? Ah whatever, the last deal he made cost him, thought he learned his lesson that time. Oh yes Admiral! The Captain is waiting for you in his office please follow me this way."
*Victor leads Botch to the doors of Don Miguel's Office and opens the heavy wooden doors. Kibo enters with Victor. Michael snaps his black book shut and rises to greet his guest. As vixtor closes the doors Don Migel poors wine into two glasses.*
Don Miguel: "Amontillado?"

Kibo: No thanks. I prefer Lumbrusco. I hear there was a poor man in Italy who died over some Amontillado.
He walks up, examining the globe.
Kibo: So, how does one who owns such an extravagant Spanish ship come to hate the Spanish so much? Betrayal, one can assume?

*Michael puts down the extra glass and walks over to the window.*
Don Miguel: "Betrayl... a funny thing. It seems the jewls of a crown can easily blind one's view of Justice. This is the reason I have come to Tortuga. I came looking for the makings of a fleet i must admit I was surprised to find one already in the making. So please tell me Admiral, What do you sail for?"

Kibo sighs. If it was an offer to join a fleet, he wasn't interested. He never liked sailing under someone else's command. That's why he bought his own ship, to stop from sailing under a captain. That's why he captured other ships, to keep from sailing under a commodore. That's why he bribed the King of England, to keep from sailing under an Admiral. He was now almost as high as he could go in Pirating, higher than most people even thought possible. There was no way he was going to give it up so soon. But at least he could play along for now.
Kibo: What do I sail for? I sail for gold, ships, and crewmen. Don't let the title fool you. I'm still a pirate.
He leans back, making sure Don Miguel was looking away, before he made a quick glance around, looking or anything of value.

*Don Miguel turned from the window and set his glass down. He walked around to the other side of the desk and lifted up the black book.*
Don Miguel: "A man of your "talents" does not know what this is? I am a man of buisness so there is no point in asking you to join my fleet... why would you? You've already got one of your own. All I ask for is an alliance. i am planning a bit of a buisness venture. In return for your services you will recieve quite a financial reward."
*Michael opened the black book, snapped it shut and waited for Kibo's response.*

Kibo: So, what would my "services" include?

*Michael smirked.*
Don Miguel: "An alliance, between your fleet and my own. I am planning an attack on the Spanish Armada. All I want is for the King of spain to fall... hard and the complete anihalation of his precious armada may be just teh wake up he needs. I'll have no need for the treasure so, should you chose to help me the treasure and vast wealth of the Spanish fleet is yours. I know this is quite an undetaking and I do not expect an immediate answer. please take your time. Meet me back on board this ship with each of your captains tomorrow with your answer. "

Kibo frowned. After serving under another's colors, being someone's attack dog was the next worse thing. He knew he didn't need his entire fleet to take out the Spanish Armada. Hell, he could do it on his own. The only reason he never did was because with the Spanish navy destroyed, he'd lose any fun of being a pirate. Half the fun was being in the danger of getting captured. Besides, with the Spanish navy gone, there's no doubt another country, possibly Great Britain, maybe France, would take advantage of this. Without a navy, a country as fertile in resources as Spain would undoubtedly be crushed. What would happen then? No doubt the conquering country wouldn't stop there. Crushing an entire navy was not a good idea, under any circumstances. The repercussions would be enormous, and being the only pirate left wouldn't be much fun. Still, Kibo kept these thoughts behind a straight face. He had learned long ago that the smallest tell could get you killed. Luckily, he had just escaped learning it the hard way. But not everyone with him was so fortunate.

*Michael moved back to the window, book in hand.*
(thought) Spain will pay, first i"ll get rid of that Navy and then...
*Michale held the black book a little tighter.*
... then he upholds his part of the bargain. Who would of though I'd be able to strike a bargain with the Devil AND have my revenge at the same time!
*Michael turned to Admiral Botch*
Don Miguel: "Please, take your time."
*The doors to the office opened and Victor appeared.*
Don Miguel: "Good Night Admiral."

Kibo nodded towards a spirit floating nearby. This wasn't the time for gentlemanly conduct. He wanted to know what his prospective partner was thinking.
Kibo: Good night, Captain. Just one last bit of advice.
He walks up, and pulls off his left arm-length glove, revealing the blood-red arm of Charon.
Kibo: Deals with demons always come at a price.
He grabs Miguel's left hand with his, shaking it. He releases, revealing new a marking on Miguel's hand. It sinks into the skin, disappearing from view.
Kibo: With that, I'll take my leave. Just know, I'm not going to be anyone's attack dog.
He turns, and walks out the door, completely ignoring Victor.

*Victor strides in and stands near Michael inspecting his arm.*
Don Miguel: "ADMIRAL!"
*He succeeds in catching his attention before he leaves.*
Don Miguel: "I have one request, being a buisness man I have a desire to get everything in writing..."
*Michael flips open the book revealing a list of names, but they are not the names of people but ships.*
Don Miguel: "Please return with your captains to "finalize" our agreement."
*As Kibo looks back Victor shuts the doors to the office and locks them. Michael walks back to his desk inspecting his arm in the moonlight.*
Victor: "MORE DEMON!? i thought you'd have learned your lesson when you made that deal with Jones! We're still payin him back!"
Michael: "Yes, I am no stranger to the price of a demon's loyalty. But Botch is mistaken for looking upon my and my intent so lightly..."
*Michael flips through the book.*
Michael: "he's not the only one with secrets."
*Victor continues to stare at eh arm.*
Michael: "What's with you? Be gone!"

Kibo chuckles. He knew something was wrong with that book ever since it had evaporated out of his hands without so much as Miguel having to move. He opens the door, standing inside.
Kibo: Now why would I want to write my name in someone's book without even having their personal permission? And don't you think it's you, because I know it's not. I've seen that book before. I almost wrote my name in it once, and I'm not about to make that mistake again.
