Yes, let's celebrate the trend of teenagers adopting a bisexual lifestyle and camwhoring because it's cool and it gets girls to drool over them, rather than actually taking the time and effort to celebrate people who've struggled with their identity and done some soul searching in order to be true to themselves. rolleyes

Actually, no. I need to stand up for the bis. It's not cool to discriminate against people because they happen to like the same gender. Nor is it fair to insinuate that bisexuals have to struggle less with their identity, do inferior soul-searching, than do 'real' homos. In fact, it may be harder. People often don't 'get' bisexuality. It's common to recieve a response like 'make up your mind'. And sometimes you have to deal with the second closet. I did. I was afraid that I would be taken as a second-class homo, as somehow less than the full sixes. But I'm not going to lie to myself, and I'm not going to lie to others. I can love whoever I want, all gender issues aside. Sound familiar? Yep, bis say the exact same thing the real queers do.
And the trend of teens 'turning' bi to get members of the opposite sex is ridiculous. You laugh when people say they can 'turn' a homo, or straighten them out, or any one of those euphemisms. Well, nobody 'turns' bi. If you don't like boys, the thought of kissing one is disgusting. You're just not going to do it. Especially if you're a breeder boy; they really, really aren't going to kiss each other. It goes against their 'manly pride'.

They aren't attracted to each other, they just do it because it's "cool". I have absolutely nothing against people who are bisexual. I never said they don't go through the same confusing process. I just meant that a lot of people these days are pretty quick to jump on the bi bandwagon and kiss people of the same sex as a way of being "different" and "rebelling" against supposed social norms. Except they aren't being different, because everyone's doing it. confused
