Physical Description: Jenaro can be somewhat of an imposing figure considering his body type, on the track or otherwise. His height has leveled out at 6'3", making him taller than most men his age and older. He is extremely skinny but his running has bulked him up a bit so it is harder to tell. His muscles give the impression of him being whip-like, although he's skinny he looks fast and still able to do some damage if the need arises. He has a runner's phisique, albeit a bit longer and skinnier.
His face subtracts from the imposing figure however. His skin is slightly darker than most caucasians' due to his spanish blood. His eyes are large and blue, certainly not intimidating. His mouth small but his lips are not dainty. Usually it curves slightly downwards, not showing displeasure but simply in a neutral position. You can always find him smiling broadly after getting first in a race, anything less and his neutral expression degrades into a snarl.
His hair is a little bit longer than most boys', and he is actually in need of a cut in his opinion. He hasn't gotten around to getting it cut though. When left to hang naturally, his bangs slightly obscure the outside corners of his eyes and the rest of his hair reaches about three inches from his sholders. Some people might say that his cut resembles what has been come to be identified as the "emo hair cut" but Jenaro doesn't pay much attention to it until it becomes a nuciance. During races, Jenaro pulles his hair into a tight, short, ponytail at the base of his neck. His bangs don't reach the ponytail but he keeps them away from his eyes using a sweatband around his head. His hair is a dark chestnut brown and naturally flows in loose waves.
Clothes wise Jenaro isn't that special. During races, he wears his uniform, which consists of a large baggy jersy similar to a basketball jersy, and a pair of black, tight, shorts. His jersy is blue on the front and white on the back with his number, 03, printed in blue. When running as practice, Jenaro generally wears a similar outfit with baggy shorts instead of his tight uniform ones. Outside of running, he generally wears long plain shirts and baggy jeans, held up by a belt.
Personality:
Jenaro is verging on obsessed with running. He is the star of his school long distance running but his true passion is for short distance races and sprints. He does love long distance running too, but he enjoys running fast, it helps him escape from the world. He stubbornly insists also being a part of the sprinting team, even though he is not nearly the best and it puts quite a toll on his body to run multiple races at a single meet. He also expects himself to get first in all his races, even though it is a highly unrealistic goal.
Outside running he is not nearly as agressive. When with other kids, Jenaro usually clams up and tries to hold down his feelings. He can have quite a temper and can even hate people but he holds those feelings in, usually reducing their outward appearence to that of mild distain. He usually is pretty neutral with his peers, it is only boys who act like idiots or pick on other people that he can't stand. He is usually all buisness in class, and he doens't go out of his way to become friends with those he has to work with. Regardless, he has reached some level of fame for his running so people would probably recognise his name and maybe his face.
Outside those he doesn't feel comfortable about, Jenaro can become a whole different person. He is playful, likes to crack jokes, and will take on any challenge his freinds give him (even if it's rediculously clear he won't win.) He sphere of comfort is rather small though. It's reserved for about five of his closest (and only) friends and his family. Generally he is actually more relaxed with his friends than his family. His comfort does not extend to his Grandmother who he holds in distain.
