Eve made her way silently through the tall grass. Tilting her head towards the sky, she closed her eyes, and for a second just enjoyed the warming rays of the sun upon her face. She had to admit that the day was perfect for exploring. It was nice and sunny, only a few fluffy skies marring the ever blue sky.
However, her "exploring" had been cut short. She had been wandering around here and there, not really in any particular direction, or with any particular goal. When she came upon the tall green grass, it had been an obvious choice to walk directly into the grass, forming her own little path through the green straws.
Turning her black eyes back to the previously described grass, she let out a slight huff. Now she was stuck in here, and had abselutely no clue about which direction to go to get herself out of this mess. "Adventure and exploring my arse" she grumbled slightly, before continuing on her way.

Miguel had been napping upon a large rock surrounded by tall grass. He'd been there quite a while now. But Miguel had a terrible sence of time. He knew he'd been basking in the warm sun for more than an hour. But how much more, he couldn't be sure.
He'd gotten lost here after wandering around in the tall grass. And he had stopped to rest his paws, but the warmth from the sun had made him sleepy. So here he napped, trying not to go too deeply into sleep. He needed to hear if someone came looking for him.
"Aw, the sun is so warm." He, somewhat, complained. "And the breeze is soo nice." With that he drifted, maybe too far, into dreamland.

Eve's eyes widened slightly as her ears twitched. She could have sworn she just heard somebody. Another twitch of an ear. Yes! She had heard something! There it was again. Both ears perked, she almost bolted through the grass, only a slight fear holding her back from blindly running towards the sound. She just had to know what it was, and her mind screamed in pleasure as she felt the long strands of grass brush against her agile body, her heart pumping slightly with andrenalin.
She was suddenly faced with a big rock, and it was only her quick instincts that saved her from running headfirst into it. However, her reflexes didn't help her from tripping over her own 4 paws as she made an odd attempt at stopping before reaching the stone.
A great "oomph" was released from her mouth as she tumbled a few meters, before finally lying still again. She closed her eyes slightly before testing whether anything had been broken, and gave a sight of relief, when it became apparent that no such thing had happened.
Shaking herself slightly to get the sand and stones out of her longhaired brown pelt, she finally looked around, trying to spot the source of the sound.

Miguels eyes shot open and he bolted to a standing position. He'd heard something, he was sure. He glaned around taking in all forms of sound and movment. Birds chirped above him and the grass swayed in the breeze blow him. But nothing else. Whatever it was, it was probly gone now.
It hadn't occurred to him to turn around an look down. Instead he lay back down and relaxed. He let his eyes slowly drift closed, but he chose to stay awake and listen for anything else.

At the sudden scrambling sound, Eve's head snapped up. Where WAS that sound coming from? She had to strain her ears to hear anything but the birds chirping and the silent swoshes from the grass. There it was. She was sure she could hear somebody breath.
Her sparkling black eyes scanned the area, still trying to locate the sound. Finally it hit her. It was coming from somewhere above. Turning, ever so slowly, she looked up at the stone. There, on the rock, was a dark, breathing, unidentified something! She let out a loud, surprised "MEEP!" at the discovery, her eyes pinned on the darkling, as she refered to it mentally, waiting to see if she had woken it.

Miguel jumped at the sound. "What was that!?" He scaned the area in front of him again. Nothing.
"Please don't be a ghost." He wisperd. "I don't have my camra."

The creature on top of the rock jumped at her own surprised sound. Ears flat down, and eyes open wide, she was slowly backing away from the figure, certain the it would attack her.
However, at the sound of the very... normal... voice, she tilted her head slightly. This wasn't a dark creature! This was an... an ulaya like her! She let out a faint giggle at her own stupidity.
Upon hearing the other refer to her as a ghost, she let out a full fledged laugh, deciding that this was defiantely not an ulaya to fear, the delighted tones clining beautifully. "Oi you big doof!" she yelled merrily "I'm no ghost! Look DOWN you weirdo!" she taunted slightly, amusement evident in her eyes, as she looked expectantly at the ulaya on top of the stone.

Miguel twitched at the sound of laughter. He turned his head slowly around and looked down. There, below him, was a giggle-fitting Ulaya. He blushed with embarrassment. "I guess ghosts wouldn't show up in a field. Or during the day.." He told himself quietly.
"Um.. er... Are you lost?" He quickly tried to cover up his flushing. But it was still painfully obvious.

Her eyes still sparkling with amusement, which had only futhered at the very obvious blushing, she shook her head. "Nah... not really... If you don't have a place you need to be, then, you're not lost" she nodded slightly at her own logic.
Deciding that looking up was definately too much of a strain, she blinked a few times, looking around to see if there was a way to become level with the black ulaya. Upon noticing that the rock he was sitting on was, in fact, the only rock as far as she could see, she asked "Mind if I join you up there?" which she then did, not bothering waiting for an answer.
Enjoying the feeling of her flexing hind muscles as she jumped up, she landed perfectly next to the other ulaya, her rather fluffy tail curling neatly at her feet. Once more positioning her body in her ever curious position, with her head slightly tilted, her pointy ears attentive to every sound, and her eyes fixed on the male in front of her.

He hadn't expected her to jump without a reply. He quickly skooched over to give her room. He hadn't noticed before, but....
"Hey! you have a tail!" He said with amazment. "Wow. It's so lovley and fluffy, and long!"
He looked back at his own tail. "Mines just kinda a puff of fur." He said. "It's not even very fluffy."

She let out another slight giggle. Boy, she was in a good mood today. She shrugged mentally, it was probably just because of the nice weather.
She glanced at her tail, before looking back at the black ulaya "Why yes. Yes I do have a tail!" she grinned, before furrowing her brows "It can be quite a pain to clean, so I don't know about lovely but..." she trailed off "definately long"
She looked at the males tale, and saw nothing unusual about it. She knew her tail was the weird one, she had met enough ulayas to have had that made abundantly clear. "There is nothing wrong with having a puff of fur for a tale though" she said, voicing her thoughts "I'm the odd one out here" she smiled slightly. "Anyways, I'm sorry, I'm Eve, Nice to meetcha"

He smiled. "I'm Miguel." He replied shortly. "I never ment to make you feel different because of your tail. And.." He added. "I do believe, we all tend to want what we don't have, or envy others. We look down on what we have." Miguel glanced at the sky. "I know that one thing I envy is the Ucolian."
He slowly fell into is own world. "What I wouldn't give to fly. To see the world from above. I love seeing new things, interesting and different. I want soo badly to see the worlds most magical sights, and I believe that from above, I could see an amazing new world." He gave a soft sigh.
"I guess a tall rock is as close to the sky as I'll ever get." He laughed a bit sadly. "But I don't think that just because I can't fly I won't see amazing things, of corse. I got to see you and your lovley tail." He smiled at Eve.
"Do you have any amazing dreams?" He asked.

Eve shook her head "Nah, don't worry about it. I know I'm different, and I know that nothing is every going to change it. Hence, I have accepted it, and now I value my differences, even if I don't find them that special" she smiled calmly as she too, took in the beautiful skies. "I know what you mean" she replied, before turning her eyes back to Miguel "however, I find that I've stopped really wishing for things that I know will never be possible... life becomes too sad if you only focus on what you can't have"
A slight blush crept to Eve's cheeks at the mention of her much discussed tail. She quickly covered it up by agreeing with him "just my point" she answered "I know I'll never be able to see things from above, but instead, I enjoy seeing things from down here..."
She shook her head slightly "I guess even I wish for what I can't have though, too" she said in answer to his last question "I apparently come from a breed that usually change when they reach their adult age, but I never changed... I sometimes wish I was one of those luckier ones that DID change..."

"A breed that changes?" He asked with intrest. "As in, they change when they grow?"
Miguel had never hear of such a thing. But the possibility excited him. It was something he'd never heard of before. For a moment he was thrilled, but it only lasted a moment. He looked up at Eve and he could tell she wasn't felling the same way about it as him. He was silent for a minute, then...
"Hey!" He spoke up. "Wanna play hide and seek in the tall grass?" He asked, hoping to get her mind off it.

At his first questions, she had nodded slightly. She knew it was a thought that usually excited most other ulayas, and Miguel had been no exception. Not that she had expected much else, to be honest.
However, when he randomly, out of the blue really, came up with the idea of playing hide and seek, she simply burst out laughing. It was one of the most incoherent things she had heard in a long time, and it was positively amusing.
She knew that he was being nice, and that he most likely wished to hear more of the exciting breed she came from, but was trying to be nice and get her mind off the fact that she herself had never changed. Calming her laughter down slightly, she smiled a large smile before jumping off the rock and yelling "Only if you're it!"
