I'm going to do you guys a quick favor and debunk probably just about any christian bull crap people have tried to throw at you.
1st one being the most common:
"You're gay, you're going to hell!" (No scriptural evidence. Just opinionated bullcrap)
"Suicide will send you to hell." (A false catholic belief, also with no scriptural evidence.)
"Sex is a sin." (wow how stupid. its only a sin if its out of lust, adultery or immoral sexual acts.)
"Watching Harry Potter is a sin." (omg....you crazy crazy conservative crazies. anything is okay to do as long as it doesn't "cause your foot to stumble" aka sin. If watching Harry Potter gives you inspiration to become satanic for whatever reason, then you shouldn't watch it. Other than that ITS FINE.)
"Christianity is the best religion." (why how ARROGANT of you. even the bible warns about not boasting. jesus.)
"If you do good things, you will go to heaven." (HAHAHHAHA omg yeah right. Acts alone will not give you passage to heaven. its more complicated than that.)
I give you my word of honor that the things I've shown here are all true. So don't go believing those religious crazies.
any other crazy crap you've heard? let me hear it! i want to debunk it xD well unless someone tells me something i know is true from the bible O_o....then....then we'll see. lol please amuse me smile

AH the ol Leviticus verse. now your question was a tiny bit vague. are you asking me if homosexuality is a sin/wrong? I'm going to guess thats what your asking. but yes, verse 22 is as true as the verse after that one that speaks about beastiality. homosexuality is wrong and no we're not born with it, its indeed a choice. however i wont be surprised if you most of you come back at me saying that its not a choice so i say this here and now: THATS WHAT I BELIEVE, the bible says its so,and my opinion of it will never change no matter what people tell me. So please don't debate with me on it. its one subject I try to avoid. However I have nothing against gay individuals. They choose what they choose, its their life not mine. I have nothing against them as long as they don't force their ways on me. I had many gay friends in high school and was even part of the Gay/Straight Alliance club in high school. So don't get me wrong, but my opinion of the the matter is what it is.

Of the 613 commands in the Bible there are also prohibitions by death of insolence of children, non-virginity of a bride and working on the Sabbath. You also are unfit for God if you shave your beard the wrong way or wear two types of cloth.
So it's clear God is not only enamored with finding any excuse to stone people to death, he's also a harsh fashion critic.
Don't ask us not to debate your opinions; if you post them, you are saying that they have validity, even if only to yourself. The last thing I want is a debate forum where questioning peoples' outlooks, well-founded or otherwise, is restricted in the least.

Ok, *ponders...
I have a friend that beilves christianity is the ONLY way, and damns me to hell, (but knows hes going too) everytime we talk about religion.
And his opion is that chrisianity is absolutly the only way to acheive happiness/ greatness. Anything else your damned.
What are your opinons on this???
And also on the people who when asked why god exists, say because the bible says he does.
That seems illogical to me....i realise the bible was written by many diffrent people( not god or jesus) and has been edited...so im not taking its word for anything. (my thoughts)

The last thing I want is a debate forum where questioning peoples' outlooks, well-founded or otherwise, is restricted in the least. the purpose of most debates is to try to sway one or the other to the others beliefs. at least this is what ive noticed with the debates ive been in. people trying to support their end with evidence to get the other to submit in. but this isnt always the case. what i MEANT by my statement is that, regardless of what someone tells me, im not going to change my opinion, so its pointless to want to debate with me on the very subject since neither one is going to get anywhere with the debate. its more of a means to avoid a confrontation that isnt necessary than anything else. they have EVERY RIGHT to post their opinion and or say what they want to refute me or whatever. im just merely stating that im not going to comment back because i dont see a need to since my disposition will not change. lol sorry if my earlier post came off in an attacking manner or negative disposition smile no harm done ^_^

Never changes her mind no matter what. it wont change on THIS particular matter, that doesnt mean my mind wont change on OTHER matters. smile its not so much wisdom, its just a firm disposition of my belief. if i recall, i dont remember any atheist saying that their belief is going to change regarding religion. same concept smile i seriously doubt i can "convert" any of you over because you are so firm on your belief. therefore it is right to say that its pointless for me to debate with you guys for why you should believe in god. right? its not my place either, i came into YOUR turf as a guest and being allowed into your guild, so i have to respect the fact you have different beliefs.

Don't make such requests, as you will enter debate over these things. lol no i wont. not if i dont post anything back. its more or less my way of keep people from wasting their breath on me. i dont want to waste their time when i know neither will come out of the debate with any different disposition since my belief is coming more spritiually without any scientific evidence. so its more of a waste of time. if you dont believe homosexuality is a choice thats perfectly fine and i accept your belief. i took psychology for 2 years and homosexuality was something we studied and scientific evidence showed that it was both a choice and also not a choice in some cases. *shrugs* you believe what you believe, i believe what i believe. we all win smile

(my thoughts) wow hes not very open minded. the bible WARNS about boasting about one self so to boast about how Christianity is the ultimate religion is quite conceded in its own light. in fact there are many religions that have similar teachings to Christianity. also for myself to claim Christianity as ultimate is very ignorant on my part since i have neither studied many other religions nor do i know much about them. i know of other christian religions and Buddhism, but thats about it so i wont pretend to "know all". your friend is just quite arrogant. just ignore him smile Christianity is not the only way to achieve happiness. to bring up Buddhism again, Buddhism is a very nice........actually its not a religion lol my bad. its more of a "way of thinking". its teachings and self thought of creating your own happiness etc etc is just as legitimate. my friend is Buddhist and he is quite happy. in fact, i there are thousands upon thousands that are "happy" within their own religion without having to believe in the Lord Almighty that I worship. But you don't even need a religion to find happiness. There's simple things of hobbies or activities you enjoy to find happiness. As the Buddhist says, you create your own happiness. I don't believe that is always true, but it is legitimate in what it says. Your family and friends can make you happy too. Its not just about religion. so your friend is also wrong in that regard saying how "A" religion is your only happiness. it is more correct to say that religion is a big PART of your happiness, not the whole. "You can't prove God exists, but you can't prove that he doesn't." Its a common reversible psychological and scientific "theory". But it still doesn't show evidence of God existing. There is no evidence, and from a biblical point of view, I believe there are strict verses stating on this very matter of trying to prove God exists, but he will not allow any proof because we go to him by faith, not evidence. There does that cover everything for yah? biggrin

That's probably because you haven't read much atheist literature. Most (I don't want to say all, because I don't speak for all) of atheists would change their mind if there was a scientifically good reason for believing in God. If his existence were proved (which shouldn't be too hard for him... I mean, come on, he's all-powerful, ain't he?) then I guarantee the ranks of the atheists would be diluted to the point of insignificance. However, most people in this world believe in God despite the lack of evidence, or evidence to the contrary. Those people will never change their minds, because nothing can happen that is a good enough reason for them.
