Hmm. Info about the war after the second summer of Love. Well, I guess there isn't any. But there are some things we are led to believe.
1. Jergens and Holland will be prominent figures in a new group that will be working to rebuild.
2. A large portion of the towers have fallen. The debris that fell seemed to be targeted at them.
3. The scub can regenerate and the command cluster was recreated by the Nirvash.
(explaination: When blasted in episode 49 the hole 'healed' itself. Also, the whole point of Nirvash staying in the cluster was to allow the limit of questions to be avoided and for Eureka/Renton to continue to live together)
4. There are huge chunks of scub 'floating' around the planet earth now.
5. The entire planet earth is an undeveloped home that survivors from the upper crust can pioneer. It would hold all the vital resources to support either "New Frontier" type communities or militant organizations.
6. The Aghea Squad are loyal to Dewey's 'vision' and though Jergen may work to control them. They are intelligent and manipulative little brats that could easily betray him and work to further the goals Dewey had layed out before his death.
As everyone else has already said, the closing credits are scenes following the events of the first Sumer of Love.
Here's a little tid bit I just learned from the new 5th manga.
Ruri
"There's been only one time the military tried to create an artificial Seventh Swell...
That attempt would also be the greatest disaster in our history... the Summer of Love.
And you know the aftermath. The sudden cessation of trapar, right after the explosion. The skirmishes that broke out seemingly at once over what few resources remained.
I think that the survivors of the ruling class would probably have made a land grab for the earth itself. The refugees that made it through the ordeal would have no real way to reach Earth without transportation.
Jergens could have opened communications with the surviving UF ships and possibly won some of them over to his side but I'm not sure.
One things is for sure. There would have been a new issue of Ray-Out showing how everything went down.
Um.. that's it's. I could keep going but it would be alot more guessing.
