When you plant a red turnip in the ground, how do you know when it's ready to be plucked?

It's ready whenever. One of the characters in the game implies that the longer you leave it in the ground the larger it will grow and the more money you'll get from Nook, but I'm not positive on that.

You should wait bout a week then pluck it or if you want a big turnip keep it in the ground till the size you want it as 4laugh
