I think it was just harder for the non-fanboys (ie. gamer girls) to get into it because of all the skanky clothing. Or lack thereof.
However, my mom really liked the game, though I think she thought it was too short.

I really liked X-2. I see it as a harmless, light hearted expansion/sequel.

It all depends on the paerson playing the game, really. My friend and I played FFX-2, she enjoyed it while I was a bit disappointed.

It doesn't exactly shine as a beacon among the FF Series of games, but it's amusing. It was kind of a fun new concept and it finishes things off fairly well. A little confusing in places though.

I played it for 20 minutes... lost interest and shunned it forever... not a fan of "Magical Sailormoon" type crap... but hey we all have different kinks I guess.

My sis got the game and I watched her play it. To me, it was...I don't know...too...outright summer girlie for me.
I've never liked Yuna, for some reason and she just got on my nerves it X-2, looking for a dead guy who has already been sent and, therefore, no longer exists on the human plane of Spira.
...sigh.
The dress spheres I found enlightening, but the story-line was too lovey-dovey. I'm somewhat tomboyish and too much love gets irritating for some reason. That's why I can never sit through chick-flicks.
Of course, made by Square Enix and being Final Fantasy, we bought it. Amazing graphics? Check. Excellent soundtrack? Check. Good story-line? For those who can follow it. Not me.
The game isn't bad; not at all, it's just...odd.

I rather enjoyed the lovey-dovey story, and I love being able to switch job classes like that, it was fun, plus it was really funny in some parts ^^

I tried to play it, but didn't enjoy it or finish it. Too many mini games. Battle system was okay at first but got old kinda fast. Yuna's pop-idolness was a major nono in my opinion. Rikku and Yuna raided Britany Spears' closet, another nono. Too much love. he's gone, it's been two years, get over it already. Plus what was up with Yuna's run? I think it's the worst ff I've played. Square coulda done a lot better with this game. But that's just my opinion. To each her own right?
The music and graphics were great. Just didn't like watching Yuna try to be a pop star those few times. That one head & arm combo during 1000 words x.x

It wasn't really bad... it just wasn't good. Kinda unneccessary, in my opinion. The only reason I bought it is because I made a high-stakes bet stressed

i happen to enjoy the game a lot. although the story is a bit on the lovey-dovey side, i can understand yuna not wanting to give up on her man. xd

I loved the game but it was a tad to short for me. If they made it longer maybe more people would be into it.
