When their world was at war, they were ruthless and as coldblooded as their race was said to be. They put all their efforts, magic, resources, and even their very lives into their war.
Their nemesis was the Unitaur race in the past, even now they harbor resentments but both races have been all but made extinct to the point that they were now creatures of legend. Some learned the err of their ways and reformed into creatures seeking only to teach their young to tolerate and to explore and repopulate their kind. Children of the war taught their children to not trust anyone who was not a Naga and that the other races were merely pawns to be toyed with.
In legend, there has always been fear of the reptiloids and some Naga seek to prove such a stereotype wrong while others enforce it on a daily basis. Nagas are more likely to be on the extremes personality-wise such as cruel, seductive, and manipulating OR kind, compassionate, and wise. Rarely are the naga inbetween or as versatile in their disposition as the four-legged taurs.
Generally, females are more extreme on the spectrum than males. In some cases, the females are larger than males save for the hooded cobra naga where the male is the largest. Based on what kind of reptile the naga is based on, they can be either harmless or venemous.
Standard Naga
Standard Naga physiology consists of a humanoid upper body, long slender fingers, and their noses are small slits such as a snake would have. Their bodies are extremely long and slender. As far as magic and technology, they are generally hybridized and learning to use their magics with everyday life. Non-magic users specialise in tinctures, elixirs, and most of all... poisons and anti-toxins.
Armless Naga
Armless Naga are born that way or do the procedures to themselves. They are solely magic users, depending on their high powered magics to do tasks for them. They are born from Standard Naga or two Armless parents. They specialise in teaching magic, writing, books and scrolls, and will peddle their magical items and talismans to anyone willing to buy it. They are shrewd businessmen as a result and love wealth, banking and saving.
Hooded Cobra Naga
The royalty of the Naga nation. They have high social status among their realm. Frequently, they hold festivals and battle tournaments among their subjects. Often they hold hunts and offer prizes to their champions such as prime pieces of land and even enslaved harpies from time to time. Alas, some old habits die hard.
