The trombone is awesome!!! I wouldn't say it is the hardest instrument, but it isn't easy either!! It is hard to get the exact positions/notes out, but it is loads of fun!!! Also, they aren't as common so you have better chances at getting good musical oppurtunites, according to my band director. Go Trombones!!!

I think it's really easy, getting used to slide positions takes some getting used to but it's prety easy.

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. I love playing my trombone. Especially when it comes time to glis~ whee
The only problem with the instrument is that it's not commonly picked so there are often very few.
Last year I was the only trombone in the junior band. There were only 5 trombone players in the entire school. Two of which graduated, leaving me, a girl named Alyssa, and a guy named Cody who wants to play drums.

I don't think it's that hard. It took me a year before I was finally able to remember the basic pitches, but that's only becuase my trombone's out to get me. >.<''

It's really fun to play though. My school has 9 trombones (2 seniors, 3 juniors, 1 sophomore MEH, and 3 freshmen). ^^ We're AA btw.

I think the trombone is fairly easy. the only problem is tuning. the slide is one big tuning slide. we trombone players cant rely on valves or keys to get the exact notes. we have to watch our tuning. still, i think its easy to play.

Honestly, I've never really thought about the technicalities of playing trombone. It's hard yes, and takes some getting used to, but I love it. It's so much fun.

if it is your first instrument, yeah a little, just for the tuning fact. Tromb has a high rang of musicality from have simple whole notes one measure to a full blown Solo, then back to Half and whole notes then jumping right into A Soli/Melody. It gets hard on Ska/and jazz. The hardest thing about the tromb is marching with it.

Tis The season...

Everyone is probably gonna say no, but Trombone is one of the hardest instruments to play:
-Unlike other wind instruments, we have no set buttons to use, we have the slide, if its even slightly off, the note is out of tune...
-Theres also multiple ways to play other notes, which you'll want to learn
-Theres also the trigger trombone which adds some other things and ways to play notes
-Finally, marching with it, dont know about other schools, but we have to have ours 45 degrees from the ground, it cant be parallel or even pointed to the ground, or your dead

heheh, its so easy to play after a while XD
(few years been playing since 7th grade so its been like 4 years??)

so anyways, it kinda depends on the kinda person you are...
if ur outgoing, have many friends, and is slightly on the crazy side, then itll be pretty easy for u!
(haha, GO BAND PSYCOLOGY!)

Yeah, I concur.

Trombones are hard to learn, but it's really fun once you've played for a few years.

this is my sixth year, and I've FINALLY got an F trigger, which means I can play sixth position notes in first position and seventh position notes in second position. It's really fun.

ps. never buy Chinese mass-produced trombones off eBay. they rust and break. Multiple times.
