Do you have a pet that you named for something to do with band? I have lots! First there's Emerson, Lake, and Palmer the fish for the show we did this year, then there's Shako, Spats, and Plume the snails, parts of a uniform, then there is Salazar and Danforth the fish after my band directors!

Yup I named my snail Spartucus after my band's show last year.

We have hookers.
Those are people.
On our uniform we have these little hook things that require talent to do by yourself so usually you get people to hook it for you, thus the name hookers. (And people literally shout across my bandhall- I NEED A HOOKER or if they have some specific hooker- WHERE IS MY HOOKER!)

When our zipper on our jacket sticks up its a boner.
And when the hat isn't straight, we say it's gay.
And then when we zip up ppls jackets we "do" them.
We call the gaurd the "whores". (they strip in our show)
Our 3 drum majors are named after our movements.
Gavin- Saint Micheal the Archangel
Kelly- Something of Saint Clare
Greg or GPH- Saint Gregory the Great!
Our show is Stained Glass and the music is from Church Windows.

We have this friend who is really sheltered, and about 3/4 of the way through the season, when we "needed a hooker" she came by and was like "I'm a very talented hooker." and we all laughed... and she didn't know why. And then after about 10 mintues of laughing, we were like "You know what a hooker is right?" and she's like "One who hooks the hooks?" and we're like "No... a prostitute..." and she's like "Huh, what's that?" and we are like "A two cent corner whore that you pick up for sex." She was mortified... xp

oh oh I wanted to name my dog after a musician like Duke Ellington or Mozart!! WOOT! we did name my "dad"'s dog after Mozart (Wolgang)

I've never named anything after band, but I have named my bones. I have two, Joe for my beginner ('cuz he's an average joe bone! tee hee!) and my trigger is Eric. He's my baby. I've also given people random cool nicknames: Drew-Boy, Funkatronic, Sam the Great, Ed Man, Ish (i didn't give that one--he came with it but it's still funny) and The Almighty Kels-Dawg. No one has given me a name though...how sad... We give formations odd names. When we were learning part two, we gave them such names as "the pair of pants," "the jukebox," "the devil head," and "the cheeseburger." Lots of fun.

We don't have hooks, but I whish we did...we have literally a dozen buttons and a zipper that is next to impossible to do yourself. If your sequins fall off, good luck in getting them back on. To do the zipper, you walk up to the nearest person and say "Zip me up baby!" No one blinks, excet for the parents who have uniform duty for the first time. Not quite as cool as having hookers, though...

Well, we call our colorguard members flaggots, which really kind of annoys them, but it is still funny. We too have weird formation names, no examples necessary. Erm...nothing really that interesting about our band. Our people are prudes. XD.
