~~Fields outside Barton~~

The grass rustles slightly as Tac and Cora slowly form, starting with their skeleton and portions of their skin, growing outwards as the decay is reversed by centuries a second. Tac quickly pulls away and his eyes seem to flame out and he presses his palms to his eyes as he seems to fold over and dry heave.

Tac slowly steadies himself with Cora's help, his hand holding her on his shoulder, but he still feels quite ill. He slowly straightens himself to a standing position and catches a glimpse of the fields around him. He looked around with amazaement, disbelief shadowing his voice, "This is not where I had planned to take us...." It was the same field where Cornelius's family had been slaughtered and Cornelius progressed to become Tacitus. Though unknown to either Cora or Tac, it has also been where the Tormentor had reigned so many centuries before.

The farmhouse lay in ruins not far off, burned to the ground and left, never attended to, even after 4 years. The area around the farmhouse is burned away in a circular ring that seems to not want a single touch of life to come within it's boundaries. Tac simply stared around in awe, "Cora, you were here...with my immortal form...My wife...Kargin...or Torment as you would call him, they were killed. These grasses...they...soaked up the blood...."

Tac seemed to stumble backwards, tripping and falling. The grasses around his feet gave way to reveal a small toy train. Tac stared at it and tries pushing against the grasses to move, get up, run, anything, but it was as if he were rooted to the spot, "I don't want to be here...why am I here...did...did he do this, did he bring us here?" He turned and screamed at the sky, "HUH? DID YOU DO THIS?! IMMORTAL b*****d!"

Tac glanced at her and then bowed his head, almost in shame, "I...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just lashed out randomly." He glanced at the train and took it from Cora slowly, placing it somewhere deep within his jacket. He closed his eyes and pressed his figers up into his eye socket as if he were praying again, a pain welling up in the back of his mind. He jerked forward suddenly and pulled his hands away from his eyes, small flames rolling from his eyes, the same thing that had happened in the GPD. He clentched his eyes shut and his head jerked as if he were having a seizure, but it slowly subsided. Breathing heavily he looked back to Cora, "I'm.....sorry, but where exactly do you want to go 'home' to? My Office at the GPD? The Brink? Your own time?" He snaps his fingers, "Thats it! Cora, can we go to your time?"

Tac's enthusiasm was nuked as she nearly screamed at him to not go to her home. His eyes were wide and he was pulled back as if he were almost scared to be close to her. As she calmed slightly he returned to normal, taking her hand as he spoke to her, looking her in the eye, "Cora, I'll take us back to the GPD, but please, at least tell me why we can't go to your world. If its a matter of me being out of place or someone seeing me, I can make sure I'm not seen in the least. My magic, it can do things..."

The first comment outraged him, but he calmed slightly as she said she'd rather not go there right now, no matter what her intended meaning, it still meant staying with him. He let out a brief sigh as he took up her hand in both of his, "Cora, thats no way for people to live. You may survive but you don't live. We'll talk more about this later." He same brief wind enveloped them as the process of decay came over them once more.

Kien drifted out from different places, seeming entranced, or more particularly, deaf to the world. He moved to sit near the other, crossing his legs and setting the rifle butt between them, hugging it close. He didn't speak.
