If that's what it refers to, wouldn't it be more accurate to write it as Rose's "Death"? If this really refers to something in Series 3, would someone who knows it does please change the title? Ceribri is in the dark same as most of us outside the UK, & trying to remain so. I still don't have a clue beyond episode 8 & trying to remain so til the next batch of pirate DVDs arrives.

And thanks. ^^ No, I cried even though I was spoiled then. rolleyes Just at the end though...it was more the way it was played out than just knowing it happened..if that makes sense..

Thank you for the more accurate title. smile Yes, I got a little misty-eyed; the acting during the wall scene was really good.
Apparently lots of people liked this because seems like the Doctor has to scream his head off every time something happens to someone around him now, not even just companions, and he didn't do that until the big scene when he thought Rose was going to go into the void in "Doomsday". I wish they'd cut it out; it cheapens the effect if you do it all the time.

Ermm... I didn't exactly get that emotional the first time around, does that make me cold-hearted? But after watching it I kinda got a bit depressed, but hey The Doctor lives to fight another day, though he may be occasionally the Angst!Doctor.

I somehow think I cried a bit more in the Fathers Day ep and in the Nine finale. Of course, I watched them all after seeing Ten, so it was pretty obvious that Rose would make it..but I still cried more... Eccleston gave a lot to that character..more angsty/depressed than Ten is... but Ten still has some of that grief; he just chooses not to show it as much.

Well Chris was my first Doctor so, when I saw the nine Finale I was along the lines of "OMGNOWAI" but I wasn't weeping. And as it turned out, I became very much a Ten-Fangirl (So Sue Me).
Nine had a much more sadistic and cynical outlook on things, which is why I confuse Nine and Claude at times. But the way he portrayed Nine was excellent. But I love Ten and all his spastic awesomeness.

Yeah, same here. As for Rose's "death"... I admit, I cried at the end of series two. And I really only ever get a little misty-eyed at really emotional scenes. But I actually liked Rose, and the relationship that had built between her and the Doctor. So seeing that come to a permanent end was really sad. I was glad they added in the short scene with Catherine Tate to kind of end the series on a less depressing, "life-goes-on" note. More Doctor Who flavour than just leaving it with what many would consider a sad ending for the year.

I'm sorry, but the way you wrote the title made it sound like Rose really did have a death after all & I was afraid it was something that happened in Series 3. redface
