Now, Im not sure exactly what this forum is supposed to be used for, but being that nobody else is gonna use it, Im going to throw something that I think Might fit.
Who here remebers the old SatAM series Sonic? I loved it, though they altered and changed much throughout the series, it was quite entertaining to find out what was behind certain things.
What was really interesting was trying to figure out how they made a show from a Sega Platformer. They where really good at that aspect. Unlike Super-Man games *apparently* Sonic games have almost always came out awsome.
However, there is some stuff that Im wondering about.
Apparently, Sonic X was supposed to be a continuation of the original SatAM series show. But many characters arnt in it. Infact, most characters from the SatAM series isnt in it.
What happened to Sally Acorn?
Or Bunnie Rabbot?
Rotor?
Antione?
And how come Tails and Amy managed to Transition over with Sonic? What exactly made them so special? *Besides the fact that these two actually appeared in the video games while everybody else was made up for the first series of the Sonic Cartoon*
And another thing that bugs me alittle. The SatAM series Eggman was far more evil then all his later selfs. What happened? A simple vote was made to make Eggman more 'cute' for the kids?
Discuss.

*Wanders into the subforum to see if it was actually used*
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD SOMEONE POSTED.
Anyway, *cough* I do have a few things to say. Such as the fact that Sonic X was NOT a continuation from the old SatAM(which I enjoyed as much as AoStH, the more kiddy Sonic show). The others carried on in the much more teen based Archie Sonic Comic. The last one I read had everyone get captured and only Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy left, because they were lucky enough to be trapped underground due to a resulting explosion, and Sonic got the crap beaten out of him. (Neat all the same)
The Eggman from the Sonic X era is nicer for the same reason you put. To make him more cute for the children. In the Japanese version, though, he was eviler, but had a funny side to him(dark humor, though. He once turned to Rouge and said, "You have a nice bussom." XD)
The whole reason Amy and Tails are present in X as well is only to the fact they were in the games. Sally and the others only made cameo appearances in Sega's Sonic Spinball.

Ya, I do vaguely remeber that Bunnie appeared in the special stage of Spin Ball. I wish they would make the rest of them more Cannon characters for upcoming games.
But oh well. We all cant have our wishes come true.
Sadly enough, I mainly know stuff about SatAM. My knowledge of Archie/Midway/Fleet/X is fairly limited. I know stuff that stands out, like Titan Tails, and Dark Stripe Sonic and such. But thats mainly from various Info Gathering for the games I do.

Wikipedia is a strong resource for many things. Perhaps you should research there a bit?

I have. Its where I found out that Bunnie Rabbots real name is Scarllet. *dang....that looks mispelled >.<*. Originally, the last series of the SatAM would have had Bunnie going back to her hometown to face some old evils, and they where gonna announce her real name there.

I would of liked to see SatAM move on and finish up, or even go on with age like what's been done with the comic...

I really like what they have done in Archie. The body changes to make them seem more.....Anthro-ish. The art is awsome now. Whoever is doing it, I give applause.
Course, as a Bunnie freak, I mainly know what Bunnie looks like, and those closely related to her.
*And as a afterthought, Antionne is a *Word deleted* for the way he treats Bunnie once he gets a spine. Shes even worse for marrying him afterwards.
As for the whole show thing though. I do like the new additions like Shadow, Silver and Blaze. Those three would have made a interesting addition to the Freedom Fighters way back then.
However, Im not sure. But does Metal Sonic show up in X? I know that hes supposed to be in some games. He is my favorite villian. Being able to visually scan a being, and then aquiring there abilities at a Enhanced level. He is freaken awsome.
From what I hear, he can perfectly copy Shadows Chaos abilities, and Silvers Mind abilities.

That's never been shown, actually. He just copies thier data into his data bank, I've never seen it actually used against him...
But if your a big Metal Sonic Villain fan, Then May I suggest a flash animation?
Super Mario Brothers Z at Newgrounds.

Ill have to check it out, thanks.
Also, I might play as Metal one of these times if I can ever find a Rp suitable for it. Course, my Metal is a little toned down, not so Power hungry. There is a reason for it of course.

Also, Sonic is awsome. A whole bunch of shows ripped off sonic. Thats my story and Im sticking to it.
Star Wars: Death Egg/Death Star Dragon Ball: 7 Chaos Emeralds/7 Dragon Balls. Both sets disappear after being used.
I remeber there was others. Ill put them in after I remeber em.

First usage of the Seven Dragon Balls was way back in the 80's, and the first showing of the Super Saiyen(Super Sonic rip off) was in the late 1991, a half a year before Sonic 2 and the first appearance of Super Sonic. Although, production or even planning for Super Sonic is unsure...
Plus, Death Star was WAAAAAY before Death Egg.

I know, but Im a hardcore Sonic fan, and through horrible time paradox's and outright lies, I shall stand behind my favorites, no matter how korny it may sound.
>.>
My friends get really ticked off about this, because they are really big Star Wars and DBZ fans.
But on the other hand, Sonic did seem to be involved in alot of rip-offs, down to Galactis or whatever his name is. Apparently he shows up in the comics or something. *Galactis from marvel*

Really? Never heard of that. Sonic's got his own little rip-off dealie going on - Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. I'm laughing as I read it as it goes on. It's good stuff.
Anyway, The old SatAM show was pretty original for it's time. Blast the freakin Power Rangers for being more popular.

One thing that really got my attention though was the fact that they where constantly making changes to almost everything throughout the SatAM series. Most notable is Sally Acorn, NICOLE, and Rotor.
In the begining, the very first episode, Sally was Pink. The very next episode they changed her to her current colleration. NICOLE, Sally's little computer was a big honking thing in the first, and then alters size throughout the series, without a single mention to why. None of the characters reacted to this when it changed size from being about the size of a Calculator during one episode, to being the size of a laptop on another episode.
And Rotor changed color as well. It was a subtle thing, but he changes.

I know about all this, but they were just toying with designs at first, but the deadline was there, so they had to hurry. Can't really blame them at all, deadlines suck.
Also, Rotor was Boomer at one time.
