Dameon paced infront of starry's tree, shaking his head vigorously. "Starry I love you...Starry I think we have to talk...Starry, I was just in the neighborhood and...Starry you know you've always...Remember when we...Remember the day....Starry I..." He walked over to a tree and slammed his head into it. "Dameon, you are an idiot."

"Stop it, your going to hurt yourself Love." Starry said, hopping down from the tree that Dameon had just slammed his head into. "And you aren't an idiot, you are a very smart pae. Why would you think otherwise?" She asked, rubbing his forehead gently. There would be a large bruise there later.

He jumped, a sure-tell sign that his nerves were frayed. Why was he acting like this? He knew it was right, it certainly felt right, it just... "Nothing, nothing at all." Dameon cleared his throat. "I Just...like...slamming my head into trees. Randomly. For no reason." He winced. That was the best he could come up with? For that alone he was an idiot

Starry shook her head. She hadn't heard much of what he was saying before she got out of the tree, but she still knew he was thinking to much. "Come here, let me take the nerves off." She said, pulling him close for a kiss. "You were never one for pain, tell me why you hurt yourself. Please?"

He wrapped his arms around her slowly to deeply kiss her back. She deserved so...so much better then him. Relucantly he broke away, gently smiling down at her. So best do the best he could. "Would you...walk with me? I...we've, got to talk."

Starry looked confused for a moment. "This can't be good." She mumbled, hugging Dameon before contemplating why he wanted to talk so badly. "Any time you want to walk, I'll be there." She said, lowering an arm to take his hand.

"Thanks..." He quickly moved his hand away from hers, taking a step back. Of course, she had to go with the hand holding the ring. Dame put both hands behind his back, switched the ring over and then took starry's now that it was free. "Sorry...clamy hands are no good." He murmered, starting to walk forwards

For a moment she was shocked when he pulled his hand away from her. But smiled when he explained why. "You were never any good at lieing." She wispered to herself, following him. "So, what's all this about?"

He took a slow breath. "Like I said we...we need to talk. Remember back when Cressida was born, I told you I would eventually explain why I was acting a bit...odd?...Do you still want to know?" He kept his eyes away from hers, lookind down at the ground, the trees, the path infront of them, anywhere but her.

Starry automatically assumed the worst, "You aren't breaking up with me are you? Not after three children and knowing each other almost all our lives!" she exclaimed, in tears. She didn't want to leave him, ever. "Please Dameon, don't leave me. I love you too much for you to leave!"

eek "What?! Break up with you?" He stopped them, gently taking the blue pae by the shoulders and looking right at her. "Starry no...I'm not leaving you...I can't leave you, I...I want to be with you forever. I couldn't love you more if I tried." With his free hand, he reached up and gently brushed away a tear. "Thats the thing Starry...thats reason..." His voice softened as both hands slipped away from her. Dameon smoothly went onto one knee "I don't much of anything...But I do know that I love you, that I always want to be with you, and that I have to do this. Starry...will you marry me?" He opened up his hand with the ring he had painstakingly gotten. "You're my world and more."

Now even more tears were steaming down her face. "Of course I'll marry you Dameon!" She said, getting down on the ground and hugging him. "You went through all this trouble just for me, how could I say no?" She sobbed, kissing him before he had a chance to speak.

"You'd be sur-" His arms went around her again, gently kissing her back. His world and more...thank the gaurdians. He had actually been scared there for a moment!

Slowly her tears faded away, though instead of tears of sadness, they were tears of immense joy. To think he had scared her bad enough to put her in tears! ~Thank everything that this is what he meant, and now I'll never have to loose him!~ Starry thought to herself, pulling away for a moment. "I could never say no Dameon, never ever."

He gently took her...left hand? Yes, that was the one. He took her left hand and slipped on the ring. "I'm glad." Dameon smiled at his love, his fiance. His. "And you thought I was breaking up with you."
