Intro

In the land of Espiran absolute peace was a thing unheard of. For five hundred years, different peoples have fought for total control. Between the barbarians from the north, the nomads from the south, the pirates of the west, and the various newly declared kingdoms, it seemed as if the land would never be united under one banner.

However........

It is now, on the 500th year of war that only a few kingdoms remain in the struggle for domination.

It is now that through the actions of lords and common folk alike will determine the fate of Espiran.

And it is now that the people will unite under one banner, or be devoured by a new unseen force.

Background

The Land of Espiran was founded by refugees from the far east nearly five centuries ago. The histories tell only that they were fleeing from an apocalyptic great war that was being fought in their previous home. Many scholars believe that the war was between two highly advanced races, expeditions into the now barren eastern lands have revealed several artifacts, many rich in both magic and technology. Unfortunately the majority of these artifacts are far too complicated to operate, even in the present day.

Once the refugees had begun to establish their own small kingdoms, it wasn't long before they were taken by the desire to possess more power. War broke out between the kingdoms, and in time even the natives of the land were involved in the conflict. Each time a kingdom was conquered, it seemed as if some brave revolutionary would rally the people; and form a new kingdom, or a ambitious lord would use his wealth to buy him enough power to start his own nation. For these and various other reasons, the people of Espiran have known little of peace.

The Fall of the Dark Lords
It was 200 years ago that Espiran was forced to unite against a force that had assembled in the east. The Dark Lord Kalin had gathered an army of the darker creatures of the world, and began a march west. If he had reached the western coast then he would have supreme control over Espiran. However, fighting him and his army was an alliance of the western kingdoms, unfortunately even this was not enough halt Kalin's advance. In an act of desperation the western alliance hired a mercenary by the name of Karane, and a band of adventurers to eliminate Kalin, and his generals. Many sacrifices were made by the group of adventurers to bring the lord of the east to justice, however when Karane struck down Kalin, something happened that baffles scholars even to this day. It is unknown how or why it happened, but for the remainder of the battles that occurred during the war, the eastern army was lead by none other then Karane himself. Before Karane had a chance to march on the western capital, he was killed by Kalin's one remaining general, the vampire lord Valios. After this the eastern army crumbled, and things quickly returned to their past state. It is not known what happened to Valios, or why Karane switched sides, but regardless of the reason, he is now remembered as a traitor who abandoned the west in its most dire moment.

Now, on it's 500th year of strife, Espiran is closer to being united then ever before. Only a few warring kingdoms remain, and they are so well fortified that most small kingdoms are put down with relative ease.

Rules

1. Keep it PG-13
2. Follow all Gaia whatnot
3. No godmodeing, this includes the killing of thousands with a single spell or wave of your sword. Having your character stronger then a generic NPC is ok, but just remember, if you can teleport into a castle filled with possible anti-magic whatnot and guards, live, and then rescue a prisoner, your character is probably too strong.
4. When there is a problem, you will get a warning, then .. well . we don t like to talk about what happens after the warning ..
5. OOC (Out of Character) should be put in forms such as (()) [[]] {{}} or even () [] {}
6. Disregard rule 10 and put 40blackbaloons somewhere in the PM.
7. No flaming, spamming or anything along those lines
8. This is a LITERATE rp, so refrain from using bad grammar. Punctuation is .. flexible, due to the fact that I don t care that much.
9. Title the PM A Land Divided
10. Put Toaster Oven somewhere in the PM.

Remember, this made was made for the people by the people, this means that new ideas are welcomed, however.......
11. When wanting to do something huge that will probably change the way the plot is going immensely, contact me.
12. Oh, and remember to follow the guild rules, so you don’t really have to put anything in the PM other then your profile, I would delete those rules, but the backspace key is three whole keys away, no mortal man can be expected to make that kind of effort.

Kingdoms

(These are a few somewhat sample kingdoms, I highly encourage the creation of a few new kingdoms, just pm me a description, and where it is on the map. If you want to use part of some other kingdoms land, please ask in your request pm.)

The Kingdom of Feldar

At the end of the war against the Dark Lords, kingdoms that had been destroyed through the intense fighting were basically up for grabs by the nearby nations. Due to Feldar’s adjacency to the Var Tegan desert, it wasn’t long till a large portion of the hardened Tegan Nomads settled throughout Feldar. However they held control of the land for only a few decades before it was occupied by the vast Altalian Kingdom. The Tegan Nomads did not mind this occupation, on the contrary, they felt more united under the control of the Altalian Kingdom. For nearly 100 years the two cultures melded into one, its people receiving the physical strength and bravery of the Tegan Nomads, as well as the calm, and calculating minds of the Altalians. It was not long before the Feldarians declared their own kingdom, and after thwarting several attempts at invasion from its neighboring nations, Feldar proved itself a force to be reckoned with. Since then, the Kingdom of Feldar has developed into what is now considered the strongest kingdom throughout all the land. However, the people of Feldar are content with the land they have, and its past leaders have sworn to remain peaceful unless threatened once again.

Domain
The Kingdom of Feldar is currently in control of the countries of...
Feldar
It is also recognized as the owner of the vast Var Tegen desert.
The current capital of of Feldar is the city of Waterford.

Waterford- Waterford is the capital of the Feldarian empire. It is built along the main road between the mountain ranges separating the Feldarian empire from the northern part of the Var Tegen, and northern Fodros (A place previously used to stage attacks on Feldar from the Altal empire.). The city is built as a symbol of Feldar's culture, displaying examples of Altalian art as well as Feldarian might. A prime example of this is the wall that surrounds the city, considered the largest and most unpenetrable construct throughout all of Espiran, the wall of Feldar is made entirely of a white highly durable white stone found only on the east side of the Fel mountain range. The wall has long been considered a symbol of both Feldar's cultural and military strength.

The people of Waterford, as well as most Feldarian cities to the north, are also for the most part a result of the blending of the two cultures. The average Waterford human can be generalized as a person taller then most other humans, with semi-tan skin and a gaze that most would assume to be calculating and harsh. The majority of Feldarian's are proud of their culture, yet they are not unkind to outsiders. For the most part they realize that it was the combining of cultures which lead them to the prosperity they had until this day. However, there are some who believe that the Feldarian people have already reached the pinnacle of existence, and that the allowing of new cultures to be mixed in would only water down what they consider to be noble Feldarian blood.

Diplomacy
The kingdom of Feldar is currently at peace with the rest of the continent. However, in the past confilcts of other contries, they have been known as peace keepers, especially when it involves the protection of trading parters, and countries that happen to be at war with Altal. Recently, Feldar has entered in an alliance with the rapidly expanding Horde of Bloodroar. However, it is unclear how strong this alliance is, and whether either kingdom actually seeks to aid the other.

The Kingdom of Altal

Since the beginning of Espiran’s settlement, there has been no kingdom with a history of success as immense as that of the Kingdom of Altal’s. While many of the first countries focused on warfare in order to defend their borders, Altal’s relative isolation allowed it to focus on things such as studying nature, researching new methods of agriculture, and developing new technology with which it could rival the military of any nation in all of Espiran. With its revolutionary new tactics, methods of forging metals, and siege weapons, it was commonly believed that Espiran would one day be ruled by Altal. Unfortunately for Altal, during the war with the Dark Lords, it realized that the only way the western alliance would have a chance of victory would be if Altal shared its closely guarded secrets with all the western nations. Once the war was over, Altal had lost its advantage over the other nations, and was eventually pushed back to the western part of Espiran. Still, it's many places of hieghtened learning continue to bring about improvements to the kingdom, as well as brilliant military minds.

Domain
The Kingdom of Altal is currently in control of the countries of...
Altal
The capital of Altal is the coastal city of Samos

Diplomacy
Altal currently has peace with the other kingdoms, while it is believed that it is only a matter of time before it sparks war between itself, and the Kingdom of Feldar. The country of Luthien while not technically under the control of Altal, is somewhat of a vassal country, exchanging free passage and goods in exchange for protection. Altal also has a strong alliance with the dwarven mountain kingdom of Fel, the main supporter in Altal's previous wars against Feldar.

The Horde of Bloodroar

Throughout the history of Espiran, orcs have only made a significant impact as muscle for the more intellectual and organized races. Every time an orc tried to unite the wandering bands and tribes, it would always end in bloodshed, usually over who would be leader. However, four months ago, an orc of the Skull Snatcha’ clan by the name of Gruugash Bloodroar began to strike out against nearby tribes. He was vicious in battle, but the thing that set him apart from many other orcs was his talent for leading his warriors into battle, and his ability to see the larger picture. Knowing that if all the orcs were united under his banner there would be nothing to stop him, and so with each tribe he defeated, he would gather its remaining members into his own war band. Now, with the southeastern corner of Espiran under his control, Gruugash seeks to spread west, bolstering his numbers as his domain spreads.

Domain
The Horde of Bloodroar is currently in control of the countries of....
Alzas
Bren
At the moment, no capital has been declared, though it is believed that Gruugash may declare the city of Jax his stronghold in the days to come.

Diplomacy

The majority of the western countries pay little heed to what they believe to be just another orcish uprising, and so, there is hardly any immediate feeling of threat from the growing horde. However, the recent alliance with Feldar has lead several of the western kingdoms to question if there really is a danger to be found in the Horde of Bloodroar.

Races

(These are examples of a few basic races, if you wish to be something a little less known tell a bit about the race in the profile. If new races become a major part of the rp I'll add a bit to this section.)

Humans
Humans are basically the simplest form of sentient beings. They possess no special powers, no heightened senses, not even a slight boost to physical strength. However despite their lack of abilities, they are still able to thrive, more so it seems then any other race. Whether this is because of their uncanny ability to reproduce like rabbits, or their luck when it comes to things like new inventions, it is unknown, however it is almost completely assured that humans will be around for a very long time. Humans vary from place to place, so as one travels Espiran, they will find that humans come in all sorts of shapes and sizes..

Dwarves
As stated by the name of their race, dwarves are a people who are somewhat lacking in height. However regardless of their height, an average dwarves body weight is usually equal to, or greater then that of a human. Dwarves are strong for their size, and a large portion of them have highly inventive minds. With techniques developed since the dawn of dwarf kind, the dwarves are able to forge weapons that in general, are second to none. Although the majority of dwarves are believed to reside in Fel, there are many scattered dwarves wandering the land, some are believed to have constructed homes in the other mountains throughout Espiran. One last thing that should be mentioned about dwarves is their stubbornness, not only do they feel strongly against anything they don t see eye to eye with, but it is also rumored that some dwarves keep massive tomes with them, recording all the wrongs done against that dwarf and his family for past ages.

Elves
In many ways Elves resemble humans; however there is almost no mistaking an elf. Elves are much more fair in appearance then humans, they also have oddly shaped ears, and usually stand taller then the average human. Elves have overall heightened senses, allowing them to hear, see, or smell their opponents from great distances. However, even with all their skill and senses, the elves are slowly dieing of. The majority of scholars believe this is due to the harvesting of the forests, and the large amount of ruin that was caused in the Great War.

Orcs
Of all the races and their long histories, their tales of heroes that fought great beasts and brought peace to the land, there is no greater mystery then that of the orcish race. From ancient texts it is shown that the orcs were not a naturally made race, this makes scholars wonder, did these creatures come from some other dimension, were they once an elder race, tortured and mutilated into what they are now, or were the texts simply wrong? Whatever the origin of the orc is, it has lead the race to become a race of mostly warlike creatures. The average orc is far stronger then a human, and almost completely immune to pain. Orcs come in many different appearances; some appear to look like massive humans with green skin, while others are hunched over with extremely pig like faces. Orcs are mostly scattered through out the land, doing things such as physical labor and mercenary work.

Goblins
If you ask any of the civilized races about the most clever and inventive races, the will tell you one of two things, your either talking to a member of that race, or you re going to want to go talk to a dwarf. However they won t admit that on the same level as the dwarves is the goblin race, a race that thrives on tinkering and greed. Goblins are about the same height as dwarves, however they are much thinner, this allows a large amount of them to climb easily, and on occasion be somewhat stealthy. The goblins usually have either an extremely dark almost black skin, or a muddy green colored skin. Due to the goblins love for money, they are much more social then the dwarves, and much more willing to share their inventions. For these reasons and more, the dwarves and the goblins have had somewhat of a rivalry that has been around since the first settling of this land, 500 years ago.

Giants
Like the dwarves, the name of the giant race speaks for itself. Giants bear a resemblance to humans of massive proportion. A full grown giant is usually around 12-20 feet tall. Like other races, giants change from place to place, some are gentle and reclusive, while others are brutish creatures who desire nothing more then to feast upon the flesh of others. Like many other native races of Espiran, the giants are slowly disappearing, it is believed that this is due to their inability to adapt with the changes going on around them, and the fact that they are hunted by those who wish to remove them from their land. The majority of surviving giants have either united with another race, or have become weapons of war through selective breeding, and training from a extremely young age.

Drow
Like all the races, there are many different branches of the elven race. The most infamous of these would most defiantly be the elves’ subterranean offshoots, the drow, also known as dark elves. Drow appear similar to elves with a few noticeable differences. Unlike other elves, the drow have jet-black skin, and pale hair with white being common. They tend to be smaller and thinner then other sorts of elves, and their eyes are usually a vivid red. The drow’s matriarchal society is a cruel and merciless one, which is usually led by their priesthood. Although the majority of drow are malicious torturers, there is a very small amount who wish to live a peaceful life, unfortunately these are seen by the rest of the drow as spineless cowards, and by the rest of the world as just another cruel dark elf.

Characters

The Kingdom of Feldar

Player Name- c-flexfc
Name- Kiva Evermere
Race- Half-Elf (Specific clan is unknown), Half-Human
Age- 22
Kingdom- Feldar (currently residing in the prosperous and peaceful city Haven)
Position- Dancer/Mistress of a fallen general

Appearance- :
As a dancer, Kiva is wrapped in many pieces of lavender cloths that seem to flow in all directions. Wrapped in a way that resembles a dress with a huge bow in the back, her outfit drags on the ground as she walks and the sleeves flare out. She keeps her long light green hair loosely flowing down her back and covering her slightly pointed ears. Standing at 5'8", Kiva has sparkling lavendar eyes that usually has a calming effect to those who stare into them.

Weapons/Magic:
Unbeknownst to most, Kiva practices a mysterious dance art that uses the cloth she wears as weapons. She is able to control the cloths as whip-like weapons shooting out her sleeves. As a hidden safety measure, Kiva has a concealed cloth with spear heads on both ends that can pierce through most metals. Kiva is also able to perform basic healing and protect spells

Combat Skills- Extremely graceful and agile in her dance art, Kiva is able to render an opponent useless and unmovable in seconds with her cloths. However, this is only effective in one-on-one battles. Kiva would have greater difficulty in handling many opponents at once.

Bio- (This would include things such as tracking, hunting, blacksmithing, ect.)-
Short/Long History-
Born to an elf father and a human mother, Kiva never quite fit in. Previously living in a western town, her father died during a massacre and her mother fled east. Unable to care for Kiva (then a young little girl), she was sold to a wealthy couple in Waterford. However, the city was attacked by a small rival nomad tribe and the couple lost all their fortune. Blaming the misfortune on Kiva, they sold her to a brothel in Haven. She worked there as a cleaning girl for several years before she caught the attention of the human General Taivin. She became a quick favourite at age 16 and specifically served Taivin when his army came through town. Fearing that something might happen to Kiva while he was away, Taivin introduced her to an enchrantress who taught her the secret dance art.
In her 20th year of life, Taivin returned to her with a severed arm from battle. Although Kiva begged her lover, then 34, to quit the army, Taivin was unable to leave the warfront due to his love for battle. When he had to once again return to war, Kiva secretly followed his army and was soon taken to battle. Taivin, handicapped, was struck down by the opposing general. In a fit of rage, Kiva used her dance art for the first time and strangled the opposing general to death. When Taivin's remaining men saw her move, they begged her to stay with them and aid them in battle.
Unwilling the join the army in battle, other generals realized a better use for Kiva. They insisted her to be a spy for them. After much begging, Kiva finally agreed.

Other-
Due to her skills and beauty, Kiva is often sent straight into enemy territorities. She manages to get close to her victims (typically generals, or even a lord), usually by providing dancing entertainment, in which she seduces her victim and either kidnaps or kills him, depending on her assignment.

Player Name- Meilin Nokomis
Name- Evelyn Adair
Race- Elf/ some drow
Age- 16
Kingdom- Travels in Feldar’s mountains.
Position- Wanderer, could be considered a thief. Does odd jobs to make money.

Appearance- Evelyn’s drow side of ancestry can be seen from her short stature and white hair, but she was given tanned skin instead of black with dark green eyes. At 5’2’’, she wears pants with many pockets and a vest with pockets as well. The pockets carry trinkets and anything else she picks up. Under the vest she has a long-sleeved shirt with wide sleeves. Ancestral insignias are embroidered on the end of each sleeve. A baggy hat helps to cover her pointed ears. Her white hair is cut ragged and short. It curls up from the long time wearing of the hat.

Weapons/Magic- She carries thin daggers throughout her clothing: one in each sleeve and boot. A few more in her pockets. Her favorite daggers she carries are in her sleeves. They each have a red stone embedded on the blade near the hilt. These stones show what her magic is. Stone magic is her birthright. She is able to heat up and levitate stones. If the daggers were thrown away from her, she could levitate the stones embedded in them and get them back.

Combat Skills- Skilled to defend with her hands. Evelyn can wield her daggers expertly.

Non-Combat Skills- Slight of hand when the pickings are thin, she is a skillful pickpocket. If she is in a town and sees a poor family, she can be found robbing a rich house and giving the prizes anonymously to those in need.

Short/Long History- Evelyn lived with her family of two older brothers and a mother and father until a fire stole it all away from her. The daggers were made by her parents and the skill was taught to her by her whole family. On her own, she went to a friend of the family who taught her martial arts.

Other- Very quiet, which makes for great sneeking. Not easily spotted in a crowd, unless her hat is off. The daggers can’t be seen under her clothes because of how baggy she wears them and because of how flat they are.
The Kingdom of Altal

Player Name- Memory_Owl.
Name- Finch Durchauss.
Race- Human.
Age- 23.
Kingdom- Altal.
Position- Rogue
Appearance- The woman is short but strong, standing at five feet and three inches. Finch is by no means frail. Her frame is more muscular than most females and she is proud of this. The human is obviously female though due to her plump rear, noticeable hips and of course her decent breasts. Most of her body is muscle, the lady loves a good fight! Light brown eyes slightly contrast to her tawny hair, which is wavy and curly. The length stops half an inch under her ears, curls line the back of her neck, some of them seem to nearly spike along the back of her head whilst her bangs are slightly poofed and waved to line along her face. The left half is slightly longer and poofed than the right, thus giving the rogue quite a unique hair style. Finch’s skin is softly paled, but not so that she nearly glows in the dark nor seems like a ghost, or worse- a “fair” princess. She is normally wearing her armor with stolen expensive clothing underneath. The armor consists of a grizzly bear helm, a leather studded breastplate, bronze greaves, a pair of spiked steel gauntlets, and bear claw boots. Due to this outfit most mistake her for a barbarian. Recently she has obtained a pair of pauldrons that are made of bronze just as her greaves, they had been found within an abandoned thieves' hideout. There were no more thieves since Finch had killed the small group off.
Weapons/Magick- Her three weapons include the following: the curved, two-handed longsword known as a Falchion. Its pommel is in the fashion of a roaring bear and the hilt has pheasant feathers tightly tied to it. She used to have a short silver sword, but it was broken when she had sparred with Hawk after finding him. Her other weapon is a morning star, the spikes are dipped in a mild venom that paralyzes; harvested from giant arachnids. Finch's last weapon is her own body since she is well practiced in kick boxing. When she was still young she had learned very minor spells from the local mage, only three spells can be used daily due to her low magick count. As an innate ability Finch has an uncanny connection to bears that has yet to be explored.
Starlight: Causes a low amount of light for a few minutes.
Mother's Kiss: Heals minor damage to a wound.
Fish-lips: Breathe underwater for five minutes.
Combat Skills- The rogue had been taught how to fight at a young age by her older brother, Hawk. She spent her free time kick boxing with him and later using a blade. In further years she had gotten into the habit of practicing acrobatics on her family's horse ranch and within the forest. Sometime after Hawk's disappearance and she had begun a new life, Finch will use a morning star as her secondary weapon.
Non-Combat Skills- Being a rogue she has learned to pick locks, stalk silently, and of course steal. She never pick pockets anyone since that is beneath her, thief's work. For hobbies and to make a bit of extra gold, fishing, hunting and making fine pelts is a specialty for her. The woman is a fanatic hunter and so loves a challenge, but she absolutely loves having fine pelts for herself. Finch is also good at riding horses or any other large animal. Another skill of hers is finding loot, wandering into dark spaces, setting traps and disarming traps in a dangerous area.
Short/Long History- Finch's life has been soured by the last war. Her father, Galdron Durchauss, [he had been given the name of his father's best friend whom was a blacksmith orc], he had served in the war and over the years from returning home the man began to turn insane. The young woman had been living on a farm by Red Bay with her parents, younger sister and older brother from whom she had learned to become so strong and determined. One night, the older brother was taken away by a group of Dark Elves. This event started Finch's hatred for Dark Elves and Elves in general. She is very cautious around them and will not be very sociable. At the age of twenty she witnessed her younger sister [age 18] get married. With her mother hounding her to settle down, her father's raves and her brother's disappearance, Finch felt overwhelmed. She got a small pack, put on her armor and said good-bye to her family. Mounting a gypsy vanner mare the female human has been wandering around Altal's territory the past three years and occasionally ambling to further human villages. Finch is not sure whether she is of the good nor the evil, she actually hopes not to get involved in any sort of conflict. Recently she has found her brother among a group of barbarians within Feldar and has spend a week with them. The barbarians have not warmed up to her, but she only cares about trying to make up for lost time with her busy brother.
Other- From her few years as a rogue Finch has a reputation in Altal and is known to the area as The Bear of Altal, or more widely known by Altal citizens as She-Bear. Adding to her title, she has ever been known to attack or be identified during the winter. Only the people of Oltine know who She-Bear really is, but they enjoy her company and she brings them loot periodically from tombs and caves. While Finch will attack anyone she sees fit at any time of day there has never been any record of The Bear of Altal killing a child.

Player Name- Sanquin
Name- Alesia Unigant.
Race- Elf.
Age- 34. (looks below 30's, explanation in bio)
Kingdom- Altal, but goes wherever the next road takes her.
Position- Mercenary.
Appearance- Alesia

Weapons/Magic-
Alesia uses a combination of illusion magic and evasive techniques. They range from illusionary images and fake appearances, to dance-like moves and high jumps. Pretty much anything to keep her from getting hit.
Combat Skills-
Although Alesia is very agile and has the potential to become a great combatant, she chooses to stay out of harm's way instead. And when she's forced to fight her attacks are usually weak and don't do a lot of damage.
Non-Combat Skills-
When she left the mage academy the head mage cast a curse on her as punishment. She would be blind from that day on. But soon after, Alesia found a rogue archmage who could partially help her. Her other senses would be heightened so that she'd no longer need her eyes to "see".
Short/Long History-
Alesia spend her first fifteen years in a mage academy. She learned fast and everyone would have been proud of her, had she not stuck to only learning illusion magic. Her teachers kept telling her that a smart student like her could one day be an archmage. Become one of the teachers even. But she refused. Blasts of fire, icy cold and magical choking hands weren't her thing. On one day the whining and pestering became too much for her. She left, trying to find a place were she -would- get accepted and trained in the way she wanted. The head mage was furious of this decision, however. So he cast a curse on her. One that would make her blind for the rest of her life.

Alesia wanted to find a place were they accepted her, but first she needed to regain her sight. For two months she searched for a mage or even a witch. Anyone that could undo the curse. Finally she found someone that could give a partial solution for a hefty sum of money. She would remain blind, but instead her other senses would take over. So her sight would no longer be needed. The last of her money was used for this spell, but she was happy with the result.

Over a year later she found a monastery that took her in. They would train her for fifteen years in evasion, self meditation and herbalism. In the beginning the meditation and herbalism didn't seem to do a lot. But three years into her training it finally became noticeable. Her body seemed to age slightly slower and her mind and senses seemed to heighten even further than from the spell and her mage training.

Another twelve years later it was time for Alesia to leave again. She was highly thankful for her training and promised to visit every now and then if she was in the area. Nowadays she travels the lands, visiting towns and city's to offer her skills for money.

Other-
Just if this wasn't clear enough: The spell that gives her heightened senses can be temporarily dispelled in an anti-magic field or anything similar.
The Horde of Bloodroar

Player Name- Glitched_Mind

Race- Orc of the Skull Snatcha’ Clan
Age- 27
Kingdom- Horde of Bloodroar
Position- Warchief
Appearance- : Gruugash stands at around seven feet tall with an extremely muscular build, and dark green skin. Like the rest of his tribe, Gruugash has an exceedingly large jaw, with two large tusks protruding from each side of his mouth. A large amount of scars and tattoos can easily be seen all over Gruugash’s body. He usually has a roughly shaven head, covered by his horned iron helmet. His torso is usually adorned in a suit of spiked iron armor, decorated with the fur of fearsome beasts. Weapons/Magic: A great-axe around five feet in length.
Combat Skills- While not the most graceful or skilled in closequarters combat, Gruugash’s strength, stamina, and resistance to speed allows him to fight without reserve far longer then most warriors on the battlefield. Gruugash also has a natural talent for leading his vast horde effectively into battle.
Bio- (This would include things such as tracking, hunting, blacksmithing, ect.)-
Short/Long History- Gruugash has a mentality that has been passed down through the many warlords of the Skull Snatcha’ clan. He believes that there is nothing that can defeat him, if in battle he is about to lose, he merely falls back so that he can defeat his opponent later. Due to his ambitious personality he was able to easily replace the previous leader of his clan, since then he has greatly expanded it all over southern Bren. As he has done this he has defeated several other tribes, but unlike many leaders before him, he tends to absorb its remains into his horde rather then completely exterminate them. Due to this he has a large variety of troops in his warband, from wolf riders to goblin engineers.

Respect and fear to an Orc is more important than bread and water. Though she has mercy for those weaker than her, when it comes down to it, an Orc would never dare to disobey her for fear of Sauri's wrath. She does not claim to be a god as many have for being mortal brings more honor. She has stood by her father's side since that night when he killed the tribe king, and by his side she will stay only fate could take her away.
On more than one account Elves have tried to kidnap Sauri and take her to there Kingdom. Even if thay succeded with Skull's army, they would later regret it when Sauri punished them on there return trip. she is not an enemy, nor is she your alli. If protecting Espiran will bring her power and strength, that just may lead her to betray her King and father.

Player Name- NPC
Name- Chieftain Wulf
Race- Orc
Age- 30
Kingdom- Horde of Bloodroar
Position- Leader of the Bloodroar Wolf Riders
Appearance- Wulf stands at 7"7, and as such he's considered tall even by orcish standards. While at first it would seem that Wulf's thinner build would make him weaker then other heavier set orcs, those that have seen him in action know that this is not the case. Not only are Wulf's iron like muscles stronger than most of his kind, but in battle, he also strikes with a savagery that would strike fear in the most fearsome of beasts. Wulf is also known for his extremely dark forest green skin, wild long black hair, somewhat elongated face, large canines, and his yellow eyes. These features often give those looking at the orc a feeling that they are staring into the eyes of not an orc, but an enormous wolf.
Weapons/Magic- Wulf always goes into battle with his favored weapon, a large ax with a blade that travels from its tip, to the base of the handle. With Wulf's strength, savagery, and the speed he gains from his mount, this weapon has become renown amongst those who accompany Wulf into battle as "Wulf's Fang".
Combat Skills- Among the warriors of Bloodroar, Wulf is the only one who is even considered in the same field of power as Gruugash Bloodroar. Unlike many orcs, including the famed "Warchief", Wulf fights both with finesse, and ferocity. While at first it may seem as if Wulf simply lunges into battle, slashing randomly at his enemy, if one watches carefully, the realization would hit that the orc actually strikes in strategic places, always trying to find a way through the enemies guard, and when he sees an opening, that's usually the end of it. Wulf is also highly skilled in fighting from the back of his wolfish mount, as with all of his elite warriors, him and his beast seem to fight with a single mind.
Non-Combat Skills- It isn't entirely known why, but ever since he was born, Wulf had senses far beyond what would be considered normal. Because of this, Wulf is extremly skilled in tracking, scouting, and survival.
Short/Long History- Before the formation of the Horde of Bloodroar, the Bloodroar clan and the wolf riders were constantly fighting eachother. Wulf was born into this, and for a long time, slaughtering members of the Bloodroar clan was all he lived for. However, unlike most members of his tribe, Wulf had a mind for strategy, and once he became chieftain, the tide began to turn against the Bloodroar clan. It wasn't until the Bloodroar clan's chieftain died that things began to look grim for Wulf. The new Bloodroar Chieftain was a whelp named Gruugash, but like Wulf, he also contained the ability to strategize, not only this, but he was able to rally his warriors behind him, leading them in bloody charges which could quickly turn the tide of any battle. However, Gruugash could not help but be impressed with Wulf, and as such, Wulf became the first Chieftain of the Horde of Bloodroar. Ever since then, the two have been close friends, and at times, rivals.
Other-
Personality- Aside from Gruugash, Wulf seems to consider himself superior to others, even those of his own race. Because of this, he acts without little concern for repercussions. Many orcs even accuse him of believing that he is above orcish pride. These accusations are only solidified by the way he fraternizes with prisoners, and even opposing warriors of different races. There have even been rumors that Wulf has stooped to spreading his seed amongst other races, regardless of the fact that he usually kills his victims afterwards, this is still considered an atrocity by many orcs.

Name:Chu
height:usually 4'11
appearance:
User Image
Personality: Like other Nids Chu is extremely jealous. She has developed a distaste to "pinkskins" from constant exposure to Gruugash. Chu enjoys enraging idiot soldiers, by angering them when she's the size of an oakleaf. Chu enjoys going out in the moonlight, though when the moon doesn't shine she does tend to be a bit pissy

Bio: Chu was borne in the valey, a place hidden in the mountains of southern Bren where a great many Nids reside. The seclusion provided by the mountains of Bren had protected the valey from the horrors of war for hundreds of years. However, several months ago, a roving band of orcs stumbled upon the nids sanctuary. While not an immediate threat to the nid, who could simply change sizes and become nearly invisible, as the orcs settled, the y continued to ravish the nids sacred home. Unfortunately, once the orcs realized they could not capture the nids, they decided they would simply kill anyone that stayed as a target for too long. However, a few months after these orcs arrived, another tribe of orcs lead by the one known as Gruugash marched into the valey, following the path of the first orc band. Once Gruugash had crushed the first band in battle, and absorbed the remaining warriors into his horde, Gruugash gave the order to leave, without so much as stationing a single orc behind.

While the majority of the nids simply decided that Gruugash saw the valey as of no use, there were some among the nids who only saw Gruugash as a kind of liberator, Chu was one of these few. Chu was extremely jealous when Sauri came along, for she received a lot of attention. Having trained Sauri in the field of authority in battle, Chu is well off in the camp. Though she doesn't really exist. Just a bad omen to the superstitious soldiers. Being kept a secret is a great joy.

Player Name- Kaelina
Name- Adalina Fabled
Race- drow elf
Age- 64
Kingdom- wanders everywhere but from the region Altal
Position- Mage
Appearance- Adalina
Jet black skin, starch white hair, and green eyes create this character. Red eyes only accomodate her on a certain level, when she wants to scare her victims, or when heat-seeking. A tight fitting black robe covers her curvy figure, and the armor, specially made, underneath that.
Weapons/Magic- A staff that enhances her magical abilities. She is a mage so she can do any form of magic, as long as it is in her skill.
Combat Skills- She works best with far ranges so she can attack her foe from a distance.
Non-Combat Skills- herbology, basic potions, concentrating, and cooking.
Short/Long History- Adalina grew up with her mother, father, two sisters, and twin brother. Coming from a wealthy family created more problems for her, because she had to live up to everyone elses' standards, which just wasn't for her. She got beat alot for her insolence, but her brother got most of it. He loved her, which wasn't the drow way, and he stood up for her, and his mother, Chrisha Fabled, took out all her anger on him with the five serpent headed whip she always carried as was customary. His sisters beat him too, just for fun as Adalina stood idly by and watched, tears running down her eyes. Then, one night, her brother was murdered, by the eldest sister. Nobody cared, because he was the youngest and he was expendable, but Adalina and her father grieved silently. She is now and outcast, for her family disowned her immediately after she stuck up for herself, and now she just wanders killing all those who tick her off.
Other- Carries a pendant around her neck that resembles her brother, in a way. Just something special.

Announcements

This post will keep players informed of important changes and announcements, remember, if something is wrong, either wait for the OOC thread to be made, or PM me.

Thursday, June 13th 2007
First off, I'd like to welcome all participants to the world of Espiran, I appreciate you joining, and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Secondly, the rp is officially open, and I am still accepting profiles, (I will for quite some time)

June, 14th 2007
As more Feldarians join, take notice that I forgot to mention that Feldar's borders do stretch far into Var Tegan, but due to the deserts size, and constantly changing shape, it is hard to map exactly where the border is drawn. Waterfront is where the mixing of the Altal and Tegan cultures began, it is also the capital, with this semi confusing bit of info, I think I might a bit about the cities. If you feel strongly about what a city should be like, just pm, or wait for that OOC thread, I'm sure I'll get around to it.

June, 18th 2007
Well we're up to five people, things are starting to look up! Anyway, Memory_Owl has given us a nifty edited map to show the locations of creatures and various other features of Espiran via nifty icons. Once again, many, many thanks.

July 16th, 2007
Alright, I put up a bit on Wulf, from now on if you want to post info on an NPC just pm me the info on a standard character profile layout. This will give other players an idea on how to control the NPC if need be.

August 3rd, 2007
Well, I realized that the current info I provided with the kingdoms, (especially in the case of the horde) havn't provided sufficient detail about their geographical location. As such, I added a little subsection to solve the problem. I've also been reminded of the need for a plot summarization for newcomers, I'll get on that as soon as eventually.... I'll probably try to evade doing it until somebody reminds me..... or I could offer 1500-2000 gold to someone who will do it regularly...

Storyline Updates

War chieftain Gruugash has taken over Jax and Atlan without mercy, adding the Goblin King Lucian into his ranks as Chieftain of the Alzas Coast, thanks to the gob's surprising battle skills.
His "daughter", the elf Sauri, is for whatever reason straying afar from the camp to go in another direction. Gruugash found out and had a messenger sent after killing the first with his rage. Sauri had ran into a strange being named Darius, who was planning on taking her eastward. When the messenger arrives the half-elf female kisses him, killing him with a dagger.
Within Feldar an infamous rogue from Altal is visiting with her brother. Finch has also been given permission to hunt the rare snow deer within the Fel Mountains.
Admiring the goblin harbor now under his control, Gruugash exchanges a few words with the mounted chief Wulf. He has a large ship-fortress and has called it Bloodroar. It appears Gruugash wishes to have a mount as ferocious as Wulf's giant wolf.
A seductive elven dancer, Kiva, is mourning her lover's death day but is quickly sought after. She is to be a gift for Gruugash in hopes of forming safety for Feldar as well as seizing Gruugash's intentions.
Gruugash has accepted the gift but also demands fighting supplies. He then sends another request, but not to the human. He wishes to have his daughter sent to him.
Kiva is on her way to the orcs and the general that had her sent seems to be up to something. The goblins are rather rough and the dancer is surprised when a young sand worm attacks them. Once at the large encampment, she uses a spell to become invisible in order to make a grand appearance intended to impress and dazzle.
A young drow thief, Evelyn, is stumbling along a wild path. Around her neck seems to be a cursed necklace which causes her nothing but grief, she is very determined to be rid of it soon.
Gruugash and Sauri go to see Feldar's gift, only to find the carriage is empty. While her father becomes enraged, Sauri is able to smell the wine in Kiva's pores. Kiva reveals herself in a mysterious and inviting, short dance move, introducing herself.
By now Evelyn has heard the ruckus and awakens, spooked. She centers herself by preparing her daggers, ever wary.
Kiva has broken into a loaf of bread given to her before departure, and is appalled to find a note telling her to flee since the general of Feldar wishes her dead.
Gruugash orders Kiva to fight Sauri to see how well the dancer would do.
Kiva survived the battle and has been ordered now as a diplomat from Feldar.
Nearby in a tree Evelyn is listening, but soon decides to retire for rest for her own safety.
Sauri is informed of her father's plan for taking Silf, but soon hunts down a presence she feels in the trees.
Kiva is ordered to get the king of Silf to sign a treaty, it is a false one of course in order to correspond with his plans.
Hearing the half-elf, the drow quickly glances for her and is able to hide against a rock. Only to have Sauri begin to taunt her in a way.
Questioning Gruugash, Kiva finds this to be a dangerous mistake. The Orc Chieftan dismisses himself suddenly and without words though. Far away, in Zaltan, a mysterious and quick attack ensues...
By now Sauri has found the drow Evelyn and seems to open up to her, inviting her to dinner.
Meanwhile in the Fel Mountains, Finch the rogue had slaughtered an adult giant boar and taking his hide along with a few snow deer. Also ensnaring a young giant boar to tame, she returns to her brother's tribe to be challenged by an enraged barbarian, Seth the Strong. He is the head hunter of the Talon tribe and both are preparing to hunt down a minotaur and bring it back as proof of who is the more superior hunter.
The leader of the Horde demands water, he seems to be having a lot of pain. He digs his nails into his own flesh, blood going down...breaking the table, his blood flows over his target when it should have gone another direction. Gruugash then proceeds to cry out in anger about nobody being above him. Somewhere a vampire smiles.
Sauri had met a group of men from Feldar, wearing an Elven crest on her forehead. Returning to the camp she fumbles over herself as Gruugash becomes greatly enraged. Gruugash soon lets it go though and begins on his meal, requesting for Wulf. Sauri is to escort Kiva and Wulf is to escort the both of them.
Meeting up with Sauri to keep herself out of trouble, Evelyn finds herself with a proposition of travel.
Finch has set out on her hunt and finds the minotaur rather difficult to slay. She is also worrying about Seth's location, he seems to have disappeared.
Chu and Gruugash begin to converse, Chu is convinced Wulf will do more harm than good.
((Thanks to Memory_Owl for updates up to this point))

"Alright there lads! When they break through this door, we gives em hell! We will defend our king or die trying, is that understood!? These orcs might have gotten through the wall, but as long as we stand strong, they will break upon our formation like.... errrr..... orcs.... breaking on a formation!" As the goblin captain said this, the kings royal guard gave a ferocious cheer. Holding out his hand to silence them, the captain stood in front of the door with a look of determination on his face, "Now, we shall make our final stand! While we might not be able to hold back the endless tide of savage orc warriors, we shall at least make this such a stand that we will be remembered throughout history as proud warriors who fought to defend their homelaaiuugghhhh!"

Gruugash watched with boredom as his catapults hammered the goblin's royal hall with everything from bolders, and pieces of debris, to livestock, and piles of goblin bodies. He knew that if he was to command his warriors to charge, that they would surely kill everyone inside that building, including the king of Jax, and he knew that would be an extremly unwise move. Due to the fact that his army had been raised mostly of warriors from far inland, he knew that only a few had experience on the seas. The main reason he ordered attacks on Jax and Atlan was to obtain the goblin cities naval superiority for himself. However, even with the goblin vessals, failing to secure the allegiance of the coastal goblins would lose Gruugash a large advantage.

It wasn't long after a particularly large boulder crashed through the main entrance to the hall that Gruugash heard the high pitched screams of the goblins, he knew then it was time. Looking to his personal guard, Gruugash motioned for them to stay where they were, "I'm going to get this gob to surrender all by myself, if any of you gits plan on trying to follow me, might as well rub your neck against my ax right now, save us both some time!" This being said, Gruugash grabbed a shield off the ground, and charged inside of the hall, letting out a blood curdling roar as he did.

The goblins were in complete disarray, one second their leader had been giving a motivational speech, and the next, his entire body had been crushed between the cold stone floor, and the large wooden main entrance door. Most of the goblins were trying to find other ways out, their captain had boarded up all the other entrances in order to force the orcs in through a single passage. However, now the main entrance was blocked by a large bolder, and their hopes of escaping had been shattered. The king however merely sat on his throne, staring at the main entrance, his eyes slitted with a look of defiance. He knew that the orcs took no prisoners, even royalty was not exempt from their merciless onslaught. It was this knowledge that brought the king of Alzas to his final resolution, as soon as the orcs found a way in, he would draw his sword, and he would fight, regardless of whether his goblin gathered behind him or not.

Fortunaltly for Gruugash, by the time he reached the hall, another shot from one of his catapults had knocked a large hole in the wall. With another roar, Gruugash charged through the hole, and what he saw was something he would have never expected in his wildest dreams. In the center of the hall stood the goblin king, even with his cloak tossed aside, Gruugash couldn't help but notice the goblin's regal stance, and look of determination. Still, while this goblin stood taller then most of his kind, he was still only around half Gruugash's height. With another roar, Gruugash rushed at the king, intending to have him surrender with fear. Gruugash was once again surprised however, as the goblin merely sidestepped at the last second, and drove his rapier into Gruugash's side.

With a deafening roar of rage, Gruugash backhanded the goblin with his shield, sending him skidding across the hall and into a pillar. However, the goblin quickly shook this off and charged at Gruugash, in reply, Gruugash took a few steps forward and swung his ax straight down in a cleaving motion. Unfortunately the goblin sidestepped once again, his weapon cutting into Gruugash's hand, causing him to drop his weapon. With another howl of rage, Gruugash knelt down and slammed the edge of his shield into the stomach of the goblin, this instantly knocked all the air out of the small creature, and threw him off balance, pressing his advantage, Gruugash once again slammed the full face of his shield into the goblin, this time the force of the blow actually knocked the goblin into the air, and as he made contact with the floor, it was obvious he was no longer in any position to put up a fight.

As Gruugash approached the winded goblin, he grabbed his mighty ax from the ground. When he got close enough, he grabbed the goblin by the front of his leather jerkin and snarled. Lifting him to eye level, Gruugahs spoke in a loud, harsh voice, this was only natural, after all, he was still filled with the orcish lust for battle. "Listen you gob! I'm going to make you an offer, now you just fought far beyond the strength of any gob I've seen before, so I wouldn't mind at all having your head on my pointy stick!" Gruugash waited a few seconds to let this sink in, but when he saw how little the goblin's expression changed, he continued, "Your a lucky gob, as the king of Alzas, you have the respect of the other gobs, swear loyalty to me, join under the Bloodroar banner, and I shall allow you in my personal staff..... well gob, don't you speak!?"

It took a while for words to come out of the goblin's mouth, aside from the confusion he was experiencing from Gruugash's behavior, he was also still winded from that devastating blow to the stomach. The goblin king could sense that there was something different about Gruugash, here there was a warrior who fought with the strength of many, but he was also offering to let the goblin live, he doubted it was mercy, so the only thing left to assume was that the orc was actually showing a large amount of wisdom. With a nod, the goblin said, "Very well..... my name is King Lucian Persiall the Eighth..." Gruugash shook his head at this before saying, "Bah, too long, from now on, you are Luc, Chieftain of the Alzas Coast. You will retain control of everything south of the swamps, under me of course.... now go, spread the word to the rest of your warriors...."

Feldar is very different compared to Altal. Rather than villages there are tribes of wild folk with an immense sense of culture. All over is a rocky terrain with sparse grass and hills. The animals are much more fierce as well, but this interests the rogue to no end for soon she will go hunting. Earlier she was not permitted since the tribe's shaman had to agree upon it. There are no solid leaders among the tribes of Feldar like there were so long ago, but the shamans are held with high regards and are sought after for advice. Oddly enough her brother Hawk just so happens to be the shaman's apprentice and has promised to get in good word of her. It has been a few years since they last saw each other, but the hardy Durchauss siblings have been able to reform their akin blood. Hawk has grown into a powerful man. He has a stern look on his face from focusing on his found power with birds, although it is difficult to decipher his features as the tanned man has the head and feather ruff of a bird of prey over the top of his skull, shielding his dark eyes. Hawk has seem to take to the barbarian style as well as life. He wears a mountain lion loincloth and a cloak with feathers neatly sewn into it to make it seem as though it were his own plumage. Finch is rather weary of her older brother. His new found magick spooks her, he calls it the Secret Language of the Birds. She calls him crazy and he laughs, a dark brown curly mane shaking as he does and waving his apprentice's staff heartily. Now it is about time for dinner and Finch is searching for her painted gypsy vanner mare, Rothun. For the past few nights the rogue has been sleeping outside of the tribe out of respect for them. Hawk has offered to set up a guest tent for her but she has refused, preferring the sky and ground. The large mare has been happily lazing about and grazing among the wild coated tribe horses, her saddle and reins were removed by Finch herself to be placed in Hawk's tent until needed use; along with the saddlebags. Finch sits up, her own tack and armor have been set to rest as she does now within the presence of kin. All of her armor and weapons have been stored securely, save her bear helm and bear claw boots. Below the rogue now the tribe is setting up their wood to burn until late in the night to stand guard against hungry wolves. Resting her hands back on the hill, she observes her toddler nephew wobbling out from her brother's tent. Hawk had found himself a wife while he has been with the Talon tribe and the woman he wed had also been his savior so Finch was told. The night the Durchauss siblings wandered off to catch up on old news was the night Finch learned she had overlooked an area where her brother was bound and thickly gagged, starved and dehydrated. Hawk explained that the dark elves that had captured him had hidden him well. If not for his wife, Lithuae and her sharp-nosed dog, he would not have survived. Finch stands up to brush off the fur skirt that had been a gift. Most of the tribe did not like the fact that she is not as womanly as she should be to their standards, so she is appeasing to them by wearing women's tribal clothing. The fur skirt stops an inch below her knees and hangs a bit loosely, it is made of a doe's pelt. Her shirt also had to sadly be given up for storage for a cotton top, a long sash with tattered ends and edges. It is a dark blue and is worn in the following fashion: wrap about the chest tightly with layers, loop the ends over the shoulders and around the neck, then to the front to fix at the end of the ribcage, and finally tied at the lower back. The ends can be in a bow or just as two frayed tails as Finch prefers.

She reaches the center of the thick tents and smiles at her young nephew.
"Sohrab, where are you going?"
The little boy continues to amble around a fire pit that has yet to be lit. He pauses to stare at her, still not accustomed to this new Aunt. A large mastiff hound walks from behind a tent to sit by the child for comfort, eyeing Finch. The dog smells the scent coming from her bear items as opposed to herself and so he hardly trusts her. With shrugging shoulders the woman walks near a black tent that is slightly bigger than the rest. This is the shaman's tent. From within murmured words can be heard, Hawk appears to be reciting something to his master or hopefully inspiring the older man to let the outsider hunt.
Either way, I'm going hunting tonight.
Finch has been told stories of white pelted animals by Hawk. White bears and white deer appearing during the winter, the deer are said to remain hidden somewhere in the mountains otherwise but it is not certain where. She plans on tracking a few down to take back to her favored village, Oltine. It is the closest she has to home anymore and she plans on setting up a cabin nearby. Not wanting Hawk to rush out and hit her with his staff like last time, she makes a hasty retreat to the hill again to locate Rothun and the wandering Talon herd.

Sauri sighed. How long is this going to take? Her Father had stormed the building on his own, ordering everyone else to stay outside. The move ws foolish, yet it showed some form of wisdom. She glanced at her gaurd, there were three of them. The head of her gaurd Barr shook his head. Sauri opened her mouth as if to say something, Barr inturupted her.
"Guugash said no one may follow him in." Barr's voice rose and cracked.
That didn't stop Sauri. She motioned for archer goblin to follow her. Barr reached out to grab her arm, Sauri stopped mid step and smiled at him. Her smile was not of joy, but more f a coax, a challenge. Barr's arms dropped to his side, he shut his mouth and looked away.
"That's much better."Sauri uttered triumphantly. She continued on her way then stopped again. "If anyone asks, that is of course if they ask, I went ahead to make sure we didn't miss anything." With that she stalked off toward the field.
After about 20 minutes she heared a chant rise through the waiting army. He must have gotten the king to surrender. Good. Suddenly the ground dropped. Sauri stopped trying to catch her balance. A cliff? No, not a cliff, a hole in the ground. It looked to go about 14 stories down. Sauri glanced at the archer, he looked highly amused. Sauri took a few steps back. The hole and all trace of it dissapeared. She picked up a stone from the floor and threw it sure enough it fell through the ground.
"An earth illusion, how clever." Sauri glanceed around her. "Too clever." Sauri kneeled to the ground placing her head at its level. Sure enough she could hear a heart beat. It was a steady rythem, so the the person was calm... Good. A smile spread across her lips. She stood slowly, breathing in the air.North east.
Sauri turned around walking a good ammount of distance from the hole, the archer followed her. She turned again this time towards the hole slowly increasing till she was at an all out run without a pause she jumped over the hole when it suddenly appeared beneath her. Her legs never stoppedd thee movement and stopped abruptly when she landed on all fours. Sauri turned around the archer stood 3 leagues away, she could smell his fear.
"Are you comming?" She didn't shout. She didn't have to. Sauri knew he could hear her, she also knew he was fumming. Would he stay and possibly die or turn back and be ridiculed by the other soldiars? She knew he would come, less humiliating. The goblin didn't get a starting run he just jumped. Sauri was impressed he almost made it, almost. His arms flayed out trying to grab the edge. Sauri waited a few seconds then reached out and snatched him by his bow, and threw him onto the floor. He was stunned. Sauri turned and continued walking she was still smiling and her smile broadened when she heard him stand and run to catch up.
"Try not to kill yourself." She heard him grumble something in response.
Now to head north east.

It took nearly half an hour for the goblins to settle down. Even with their king telling them that they had surrendered and they would be allowed to live, many goblins simply scattered out of the new entrance and into their cities. Looking to the goblin king, Gruugash let out a bark like laugh at the goblin's incompetence before saying, "Chief Luc, you had better move with speed, I sent my wolf riders ahead to secure your harbor, I've commanded them not to kill any goblins unless they put up a fight.... but the wolves hunger is hard to control, now go!" The king stared at Gruugash for a moment, and for a moment, Gruugash thought he could see a glimmer of defiance in the goblin's eyes. When the king had exited the hall Gruugash let out bark like laugh, even in defeat the goblin had spirit, he could prove to be most useful in the battles to come.

As Gruugash exited the building, the first thing he saw was a member of the wolf rider chieftain's personal guard. Turning the beast to face Gruugash, the rider seemed to control the fierce wolf with ease. "Warchief Gruugash, Chieftain Wulf sent me to tell you that we took the harbor, it's as you predicted, once we breached the walls, the gobs tried to take off on their ships. Luckily we were able to ride in before they could cast off, Wulf asks that you come and see the bounty for yourself when you are done breaking the gobs!" Gruugash nodded without thinking, however, before the rider could leave Gruugash looked up at him again, "Any other news rider?"

The orc only turned his mount halfway this time before saying, "Yes, we just received word that Atlan has also been captured, and the trolls are beginning the harvesting of the Corollian border forest..... I've also received word that the warchief's offspring has taken in a north eastern direction, accompanied only by a single gob bodyguard."

Gruugash immediately snarled at this last bit of information. He didn't mind that Sauri was endangering herself, but he was furious that she had left her post. If Gruugash was to be respected, he couldn't have the damned girl roaming about without his orders, after all there was no respect for a warchief who couldn't keep control of a girl, and a half elf at that. "You get back to Wulf, tell him that..... tell him that I'll be busy clearing out a few more pockets of goblin resistance.... and rider, if this thing about Sauri gets out, I'll have plenty more to feast on than goblin tonight! Now go!" Without question, the rider rode off south towards the harbor. Calling up his own messenger, Gruugash was now furious, "You! Find that girl, tell her if she can't control her damned impulses, I'll beat it out of her! Why are you still here you oversized gob! Get going!" As the rider quickly started a quick sprint north east, Gruugash hurled his axe at him. He intentionally meant to miss, but his mood did improve considerably as the ax blade buried itself into the skull of a goblin who had been hiding in the rubble.

"Keep up,your slowing me down gob." Sauri shouted behind her.
"How can i keep up when your running at the speed of a bloody elf?" The goblin huffed a league or two away. "And my name isn't gob you mutt!"
Sauri attempted to hide her smile, but failed. "What due pray tell is your name?" She tried to disguise her laugh by coughing. The goblin looked at her side ways while gasping and trying to catch his breath.
"My name is Derius." He looked at her as if waiting for a response, when he recieved none he continued walking.
Derius, Derius the name sounded familiar, plus it didn't have that goblin ring to it. Sauri though for a moment. "Say are you even a goblin?"
Derius turned around and glared at Sauri making sure to meet her eyes, her breath cought with, fear? Golden, his eyes were golden. Goblins as everyone should know do not under any surcomstance have golden eyes. Sauri hung back, studying him. A goblin would not have made it half way let alone nearly all of it withuot a running start. How does he know how fast elves run? The army has yet to fight them, even if they had how would a gaurd know? He certainly didn't move like a goblin. Actually now that she watched him he moved more like her.
"What are you?" Sauri whispered accusingly.
He faced her once again, "I'm Hulumni." He waited for her reaction again this time he didn't continue walking. "There is a creek a little farther east from this point. We'll head there." He didn't stop for her to answer, directing himself east he walked.
Sauri stood stunned. An archer ordering her around? Who did he think he was?
"Excuse me? I did not say east. We are going north east. Not, east. I think that you could use a fist straight to your hea..."Darius held his hand to Sauris mouth shutting her up instantly. She was to shocked to react. Rage began to fill her, until she heard the sound of an approaching horse.
"Sauri... Guugash demands your return. If you can not control you impulses he will beat it out of you!" He seemed rather pleased with himself. Sauri sighed, she walked up to the messanger as if she weregoing with him. What she did next suprised not only herself but Darius and the messanger.
Sauri walked up to the messanger her eyes said that she submitted. When she was close enough she kissed him. Sliding her hand to the dagger she had on her hip and without breaking the kiss she dug it in his belly. The messenger fell dead
