Hello i got hacked last week and it feels like crap sad i got a pul rune on the HF quest in nightmare so i got shako and oculus 4 it..i use lighting sorc that is now lvl 82 but i have so damn bad stuff sad so now i started to MF with my 100 mf -_-....SO just wondering anyone else got hacked? and is mephisto better to kill than pindle?

u arent aware of the key loggers that is a program..it tries all kind of passwords like 100 words in a second..or i think it was it the program who hacked me! my password is a long one and its a word and a number each! i changed it now! but next time u open ur chat window just say things u DO KNOW

Okay, next time before you argue with me, try to gain a little knowledge on the subject to avoid looking like a fool.

The program you are speaking of is known as a Brute Forcer. Blizzard has emplemented extremely effective anti-bruteforce technology.
It would take 10 computers, running 5 bruteforcers each, with unlimited proxies and a 10 gig+ password library approximately 6 months to a year to hack just 1 account with a relatively simple password. Ie. a 4-6 letter word with a couple numbers at the end.

People do not waste their time trying to brute people on d2. It just takes far too long.

Let me ask the rest of you guys who are reading this a question. If you had 10 computers and the ability to bruteforce an account. Would you make those computers run bruteforcers nonstop for half a year or longer, just to steal an account with a lvl 82 sorc with an occy and shako?

Heh, come to think of it, I don't even think that question needs to be answered.


So now that bruteforcing is out of the question, I believe we have narrowed it down to 2 possible ways you could have lost your account:

A) Fell for a dumb scam.

B) Downloaded some sort of keylogger.

Just so you know, that's not what a keylogger does. When someone places a keylogger on your computer, it sends them a log of everything you type, which includes your passwords.




Maybe you should take your own advice.

Actually bruting wouldnt take that long for a 4-6 with numbers, I can do that on this in aproximentally 3 weeks, my network in 2 but yeah even no one would do that. I personally am a WHITEHAT hacker, so I would know the time, and I tried to brute Blizzard to tell them it was a vunrability and in 3 seconds I got an IP Ban from there servers, so they prevent it, not possible so yet again
