The children of Suna always seemed to enjoy the show's of the Rialto family. It had been a long tradition of the family to give puppet shows at least once a week to all the good boys and girls of the village free of charge. It was a way for the members of the family to practice their perforance skills and to practice their abilities with multiple puppet strings. Even with the twist in her phyche, Star still foud a simple joy in the laughter of the children.
It was a simple tale, one of dragons and princesses. A knight come to save his fair lady and save the realm from the evil. A tale spoken in many different ways but always with the same result. However, this story missed it's prince charming so far. He was off doing duties for his fair lady Star.
A blur came up behind Star, a blur drapped in darkness. "I've come to save you." his voice was dark and a bit ominious. After a bit of a battle, the dark knight saved the princesses and carried her off into the darkness to the cheer of the children.
This dark night, however, was one of Star's masterpieces and her lover, Kage. He had gone to the Kazekage's office to gain a mission for his love. " What is the vertic?" she spoke running a finger along the flesh like covering of the stringless puppet.
"The kazekage wants to speak with you."
"Oh what now? I told them I only kidnapped that kid because I was hungrey..."
"The mission requires special information that they wouldn't give me"
"Figues...you'd think they'd trust a puppet so specially made."
[[at the Kage office]]
Kage didn't answer...he looked to her and smiled a bit as he carried ehr off to kazekage's office. Landing out of Body Flicker, Kage moved her to the door and she began to walk on her own. She moved into the office looking and smiling a bit. "I'm here dear."

Isshiki blinked as the jounin and the man from earlier appeared in his office before smiling pleasantly at the village oddity who was nonetheless an integral part of the village forces.
"Ah yes, Star-san. You're aware of this mission, the basic details of it anyway, are you not? Basically you have to steal this great big crystal orb from the nomad people." Isshiki frowned, he didn't like doing this, but he was obliged to fulfil the daimyo's every wish sadly enough. "The daimyo's wife wants it as you know. If the orb is destroyed or even slightly cracked she won't pay us. But anyway..." Isshiki continued, "The nomad religious stronghold is somewhere to the southeast the last time we checked, but that was maybe a month or two ago. Obviously nomads keep moving all the time so you'll have to find them. I would send an entire team but it seems like you may have one already," he said glancing at Kage.
"Again, they may have beefed up their defenses, although I think this is highly unlikely. But our scouts found that the group guarding the orb comprised of about ten people. Around half of them, maybe 5 or 6, are between chuunin and jounin level [level 20] and the leader of the group is jounin level. [level 30] The rest are just grunts. They may look menacing but they can't do squat, except for things that require brute strength.
"Is there anything else you need to know?" he asked. "I may have forgotten some things..."

Star began to frown very childishly. She crossed her arms and looked away for a moment. The more Isshiki spoke about the situation, the more she frowned. It was rather odd too as Kage was on bended knee showing respect to the Kazekage while Star was standing and starting to irritate him. At the end of Isshiki's briefing, a smile came across Star's lips. "So all I have to do is go in, take the orb and bring it back to the spoiled pig the daimyo put a ring on huh? What about the nomads, can I kill them? At least the leader? I bet a holy jounin's soul would make a pretty puppet."
Kage cut her a glance, "Star, this is not the time for that. Forgive her Kazekage-dono. She...well..." Kage tried to find the words but Star cut him off,
"I'm being myself dammit. Don't try to cover for me. Isshiki-bozo knew what he was doing when he promoted me to Jounin." she...had become very disrespectful since the incident with her family. She looked to Isshiki and grined, "I'm guessing the orb'll be the only huge rock these folks are carrying huh? Any special characteristics about it I need to know about? If not, I'm gone."
Kage simply sighed. He loved her...at least, thats what he told himself every morning to keep from strangling her.

Isshiki gave her a half-forced smile, this Mirid Star was indeed a very talented shinobi but she did have this personality problem... it was expected with shinobi however so he wouldn't complain much.
"Basically, yes, Star-san. And about the nomads..." Isshiki had to think for a while, the nomads would be pretty pissed off once they found the orb gone, and would killing the guards make any difference? Would it just add fuel to the flames? Eventually Isshiki sighed. "No, Star-san. I don't want to provoke a war situation any further with the nomad people. No matter how pretty the puppet may be." Glancing at Kage he nodded his thanks and his attempt to remain respectful.
"I guess that incident has affected you a lot huh..?" Isshiki mused. "Yes, basically they lug it around in this huge caravan. I'd send you to go there during their praying season but there would be too many people there. The Daimyo didn't give us anything about the orb other than the fact that it's half a metre in diameter. And it's pretty. But it's hard to find anything like that in the Wind Country anyway, so anything that looks like that is probably the orb. Good luck, Mirid Star."

Star looked to Isshiki and blew a kiss to him. She smiled and began to walk out of the office. Kage stood and looked to Isshiki and sighed. "She...has a way to work a nerve doesn't she...I still dont' know what to do with her and I swear she's gonna turn my wood gray." With a bow, he left as well.
[[outside the village]]
After gathering her things, Star and Kage began to walk about the outskirts of the village. Looking into the desert sands, Kage touched her on the shoulder. "What's wrong?"
"Hmmm...why did you ever give me anything?" Star said with a bit of a pout."
"What are you talking about? Almost every time we saw each other you were trying to KILL me!" Kage shouted.
"Oooooh details details. You don't love me, that's it isn't it!" Star said in a mockingly sad tone. She turned her back to Kage and crossed her arms. She was prone to these fits whenever the mood struck her. It was almost impossible to reason with her at this time and Kage knew it. So instead of trying, he simply pulled out a map of the area. Findind the lands that the Kage spoke off, he began to take off using the Body Flicker. This was the only jutsu he could do on his own. He was still a puppet afterall.
Star looked to him and shot him a bird, "You b*****d!! Don't you LEAVE ME!" She began to move behind him quickly.

[[Southwest of the village]]
The desert sun was always a pain in the butt and this was no different at all. Even with the speed of the Body Flicker technique, the heat still took its toll on Star, a native of the heat. Kage, however, wasn't bothered by it in the least. Following closly behind her lover, she looked to him with a hard glare, almost a killer one. Not a sound was exchanged between them until Kage spoke. "Why are you grimmicing me like that?" His voice was a deep one, one of sensual tone if you were into deep voices. Even though it came now through hallowed wood and solid metal, it still spoke just as it did when it flowed from flesh and blood.
Star shivered a bit but kept her grimmice upon Kage, "I hate you..."she finally spat out.
Kage continued moving about in front of her...not a word shared for a long time before they came about an area of slight disturbance. The sand was a bit flatter than normal and showed some signs of something having been there not to long ago. The place had been windswept, most definatly. There were no signs of human life that Kage could tell just from a basic glance. He'd need to take a closer look. Star soon came up behind him and growled. "You're not gonna say anything?" She growled.
He began to look about and moved forward to the center of the place to look for clues.

The two see nothing much, but on further inspection Kage finds a small stick embedded in the sand... the wind has blown sand on it but underneath all that sand is the remains of a fire. Faint wheel tracks can also be found heading east.

[[heheh thanks love. I was really just stalling for somethign else. I appreciate the help though. heart ]]
Kage looked about a bit and soon felt something hit his foot. He looked down to find a stick coming from the ground and soon looked about a bit. There weren't really anything you'd call a 'tree' anywhere nearby so it had to have been brought over by the nomads. He knelt down and began to dust off some of the sand to find the remains of a camp fire. A few stones set in a circle and a few pieces of wood and other burnable objects already scorched to ash. He looked at it a bit and noticed the stones setting off into an easternly direction. He looked off for a moment and sighed a bit. This wasn't going to be easy by any means.
Star, who was stalking about, found ehr way over to Kage. She noticed the fire site and then poked Kage, "Oy...what'd you find?"
He looked back to her then looked in the direction the stones fell, "Camp fire. The nomads were here...But it's hard to tell how long ago they were here."
Star sighed for a moment then looked around. She arched a brow for a moment then thought, "I wonder why they move so much? What are they following...Nomads usually follow something right? A herd of animals...a will to live by running from something...something! So why do they move around? Lets go back to town. I wanna read a goooooood book!" Without giving Kage much say, Star headed back toward town.
[[Suna Library]]
Finding the great relief from the heat, Star moved about the shelves of the library with a huge vigor in her heart. She was looking for any books on nomadic tribes in the area and found a few. As Kage followed her in, he moved up behind her and spoke, "What are you loking for?"
"A good book. I told you that." She sang a bit.
"A good book? What are you..." before he could finish, Star turned around and dropped a few books in his arms and simply said, "Read!"
Moving back to a table in the back, the two of them began to skim the books for any information on the nomad tribe.

[[Star finds something important, Kage finds nothing]]
Browsing through the book, Star begins to grin a bit. Her thoughts had been right. Coming back to look over documents was a good idea. Kage looked over to her for a moment and arched a brow. "What are you doing? What'd you find?"
Star showed Kage the book. It was a book of nomadic legends and their significance. Particualarly, the gods of the different nomad tribes. It was a rather thick book with a decaying green hardcover. It had been fitted with a new cover recently but it's age still showed in the yellow-ing of the pages. Kage took the book from Star and began to read aloud. "Several of the nomadic tribes of the Suna area find their faith in different gods. While different from the main religion of the Capital of the land of Winds, many of the tribes refuse to submit to any other god(s). To go along with their traditions, many of the nomadic tribes usually carry items they associate with their gods, things they believe bring the favor of the gods down upon them. These things can vary anywhere from a husk of corn to a broken sword. No one has ever collected a full understanding of each tribe and its religion and ways but most tribes have at least one or two patron deities that are easilly associated with them. The Horun-roku tribe that travels the northern border of Suna is known for worshipping the Titan. The carrier of the planet. The Balkuth tribe that travels the desert lands west of Sunagakura usually are associated with Rivo, their god of the Harvest. And the tribe of Yolic, travelers of the eastern planes, are usually associated with Isis, the goddess of furtility and war. Even though all of the tribes honor and respect their gods, the Yolic tribe takes it the furthest by following a set path associated with an ancient legend in their tribe. No one knows the legend but the tribe usually takes 5 years to make this walk along the planes, copying the legend to bring prosperity down upon them."
Kage looked through the book a bit more. It even had a picture of Isis in it. Star grined a bit, "What do you think?" she asked.
"I think their brains have been fried by the sun."
"Besides that..."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean the tribes. That Yolic tribe might be the one we're after. All we have to do is figure out where the path takes them next. Maybe theirs something more about it in the book." Star took the book back from Kage and began to look through it again as Kage looked through an atlas book to see what he could find.

[[Star gains important, Kage nothing]]
Looking over the book, she began to flip through the pages at a slower rate. The flow of the text was making a pattern known. IT was going over the different behaviors and methods of worship for the different gods held by the different nomadic tribes. Each god had its own manors and thoughts and its own way of being worshiped. Each nomad tribe followed those to a very strict code, especially the tribe of Isis. They were very strict in following ancient rituals and codes that supposedly were passed down to them by Isis herself. APparently, they followed a very strict pathway through the desert as dictated by the teachings of Isis. The book didn't go into exact details on the teachings but it did speak of different instances when the paths of the nomad tribes crossed. Many times, it was simple passing, a few times war broke out but mostly, it was pretty peaceful. She looked over the text a bit more and noticed a part in the book about a camping fast ritual where the nomads of Isis would camp and fast for 3 days to show their resolve and trust in Isis word that she would always provide food for them. After, they would head north to find fresh food for their stomachs. The place the fasting always took place in was an area southeast of the village.
"THIS IS IT!!" Star yelled out to Kage. He shot her a glance and grumbled a slight bit under his breath.
Snatching at her clothes, he pulled her down into her seat, "Sit down and shut up woman. This is a library, not a damn circus. What'd you find?"
She pouted but only for a moment. SHe then looked over to him and pointed it out in the book. "See this, this is a perfect depiction of the area where we found that camp site. This tells of how they move north after heading there. They should still be something further north. Let's head there next." With a happy start, she began to rise before Kage snatched her back down again.
"Wait...I got an idea..." she looked to Star for a moment, "These people are violent, remember what the Kage said. There are ways to get to the orb without starting s**t..."
"WHo's gonna start anything?!" she asked in a very innocent voice. Kage simply glared at her, "Ok...I was gonna go in shuriken a-blazin...what do you have in mind?"
Kage looked to her for a moment and was glad for her abilities. He looked back to the book and flipped through it to where she was earlier, on the pages depicting the different gods. He pointed to the photo of the Isis statue the tribe carried around with them. "WHy don't you dress up as the Goddess and infiltrate them and get them to GIVE you the orb? Wouldn't that be easier than trying to take out all of them?" she sighed for a moment then smiled. Kissing him on the cheek, she looked to him.
"You always were smart. A dumbass when it came to love but smart in everything else. Come on, lets go get the clothes together to make this thing."
[[Suna clothing store]]
After having checked out the book for reference, the two headed to the local antique clothing store to find different peices of clothing to help make the outfit as realistic as possible. After having gone through a bit of clothing, they finally came about a full set of clothes and headed out to try to piece together the outfit.

[[byahh! perfect disguise]]
It took a bit of time. Star was always the type to be very miticulous about details and she wasn't going to mess this kind of thing up. She enjoyed playing dress up as she called it. It was fun to see the expressions on peoples faces as she acted ehr way into their hearts just before ripping them out and serving them witha nice side of Macaroni and Cheese. Kage was outside the bathroom Star was using to change. The weight was usually the most boring part as Star was one to take hours to get every single detail right or as close to perfect as possible. She would take this time to make sure things flowed the way she wished and moved in her perfection that was worked out in that morbid little head of hers.
The time seemed to pass rather slowly. What seemed like an hour to Kage was more like 20 minutes. He had started to nod off, which seemed a bit intresting considering he's a doll now but still. Just as he was nodding off, the sound of the door opening could be heard. His eyes snapped open and gazed to the bathroom to see Star stepping from the bathroom in perfect robe. It was a perfect copy of the outfit depicted in the photos in the books they checked out. There wasn't a flaw to be seen. Star had even done a bit of makeup work to make her face resemble Isis more. It was a stroke of luck that she already looked a good deal like the goddess. She simply had to essentuate a few things here and there. Kage looked to her for a moment and shook his head, "Dammit...you always go overboard with this s**t. At any rate, you should be able to fool them no problem. Right?"
Star began to make a move and speak...

[[damn, failure...]]
"Hmmm, I guess so but who knows. Heheheh should be a blast." she squealed. She was completly out of character and Kage growled a bit.
Moving forward, Kage rasied his hand and smacked Star in the back of the head. A huge smoking wound appearing where he made contact, "Focus you idiot. You need to get her personality down right or else they'll never believe you no matter how much you look like her. Now focus and try again." Star growled as she looked up to Kage. He was being a pain in the a** again and she wasn't going to take this for long but for now, it'd be fine. He was right after all but she still didn't like it. She growled deeply for a moment then looked up to him and began to try and curse him out in a manor befitting a goddess.

"Listen you pompus little windbag. I'll have you know that I..I...dammit! I can't think of anything proper to say to curse you out!!" She whined a bit as Kage sat back and grimmiced. She was having one of her tantrums and it was a pain to try and calm her down.
"You started out ok for about 2 seconds. Try it again..." Kage finallys aid after a few moments.
"I DON"T WANNA!" she sounded like a 2 year old and Kage was getting irritated. He knew that if he said anything else, it'd be to chew her out but he thought it better to simply sit there in silance. She was annoying enough as is.
Moving about the room, he began to knock things over to get her feelings to rise but it wasn't working. She growled a bit and finally ended it all with a huge huff. Looking to Kage, she let her eyes flow over his form for a moment then gained a very flirtatious grin. With a quick stand she began to move back over toward Kage, waving her hips and trying to get the performance right.
