Kai restlessly fidgeted, as he took notice of his surroundings. From the moment he has woken up.. He found himself in a terrible daze. He knew that he went to get a drink of water... But during the daze, He had no idea where he was heading.. And it had resulted in an aimless wandering.
But then he shouldn't have been doing that. The daze had wore off (strangely) when he found himself.. in a dangerous land. Little did he know it but he had wandered onto the outskirts of where the kalonas resided.. "I've heard rumors of the place.. But I never wanted to be here." He muttered. Kalonas were one of the more dangerous soquilis that were located here. But he had yet to meet a Kalona. Judging from the rumors however, he had no intention to.
So how was it that he ended up so far away from the usual lands? He would have -wanted- to head back, if the land wasn't such a labyrinth. The sky was turning a bloody red color, and all within his range of sight was miles and miles of dead tall grass. It gave the land a creepy look.
“How on earth can the moon be so bloody-red over here when it‘s perfectly white over there?” He grumbled, as he tossed an annoyed look at his surroundings. He wasn‘t a scaredy-cat.. But he didn‘t have much taste for places such as the Kalona lands.

Lurking around in the darkness nearby Kai, Keiran was feeling restless. Just recently, he had begun to grow into a full-fledged adult. Now that he was bigger and stronger, Keiran felt like he was ready to go out and see the world. He wanted to see what made everything tick. For the first time since he emerged from his basket, he had wandered away from Heartless. He had guessed that she knew that he would leave soon, but it wasn't like he was leaving forever. Of course he would seek her out.
But his thoughts began to wander as he wandered around the land. Keiran needed to get out of the kalona territory, but he wondered if there was anybody else out here. Then he heard someone grumbling nearby. Slipping into the darkness of a tree, Keiran saw the other stallion. Raising a brow, he decided to just follow him. It was odd to find a soquili wandering around the kalona area.
He went ahead and answered Kai's question, "It's a symbol of our stained reputations that lust for blood. What a trivial question." Keiran kept himself hidden in the shadows, his golden eyes glowing in the darkness.

Surprised by the unexpected voice, Kai raised an eyebrow. He didn't realize that there was anyone else there.. But than, it was common sense that someone WOULD be there. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the strange Kalona almost immediately.. After all. The Kalona was just standing near a tree. He didn't seem to make much effort to be hidden.
.. But the Kalona appeared to be a young adult. Raising an eyebrow, Kai realized that there was such impertinence from someone younger than him. However, he couldn't scold the kalona as he had done the same to his elders more than once. He had thrown sarcastic remarks in their faces, that had them purple one time or another.
But Kai could safely assume that the Kalona had no intention of attacking for the moment. But where did he come from? Kai didn't sense that he was there earlier.. "What the hell is up with this place..?" Kai muttered, softly that only he himself could hear it. And to make it worse.. The strange land made him frustrated and angrier than before. Was it just the natural environment making his nerves tense.. or something else?
"Trivial? Not if it proves to be illogical." He scoffed. "Tell me that it logical.." as he gestured to the moon. ".. Especially when science proves that the moon isn't naturally like that." He argued.. but he gave the Kalona a suspicious yet piercing stare while he was at it.
