Kitsu Quest Rules and Regulations
This subforum is for those who have a specific kitsu in mind that they would like to get one day. To be accepted on the list and have your quest kitsu protected, you must be actively questing for it (or at least trying). Going about this process is actually fairly simple. Firstly, You will need to PM Kitsusagi Helper with your intentions of questing and a character you would like to quest. From there, we will create your starting post quest. You will then make a second post underneath your started quest, slot in the required quest-updating form, and begin your questing! Good luck!
Please post your information forms and quest status in your second post. You don't need to 'quest', specifically, just be working towards your goal of getting 'x' kitsu. You must PM Kitsusagi Helper to begin questing. Do not make the starter post yourself. Doing such will null and void your quest thread, and it will be deleted and/or locked. You may also be warned or punished for this offense.
Quest-kitsu will be more or less protected after they've been posted up by a Kitsusagi Helper in this thread. That means that the staff will not let anyone else get them unless they have a VERY good reason, or proof that they wanted it before you (solid proof which includes things like Gaia threads, posts, journal entries, things with viable timestamps and so forth. Other forms of evidence may be looked at (such as screencaps from other forums such as Kitsusagi.net, email screencaps, anything where timestamps cannot be editted), but may not be accepted, especially if such information can be easily editted/doctored. Please note here that messenger conversations can be doctored and will not be accepted as evidence). Even then, it gets tricky. Issues like this will be sorted out on a case-by-case basis among the staff to ensure fairness and the best result. In some cases, both parties may be asked to co-own on the kitsu, with the quester who posted here re-paying the second.
There have been some (more!) revamps to the kitsu-quest program. Therefore, please read these rules.
1. You can only actively quest for and protect one cosplay at a time. There is only one exception to this rule that exists currently: Two characters may be quested for ONLY when they are canonly considered to be as one and the same entity in the series that the character came from (ie: Peter Parker and Spiderman) or only when the two characters are so heavily intertwined and part of each other that it would make no sense to claim one without the other. This will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
2. While you may Co-Own a Kitsu-Quest together, bear in mind that both parties will then claim the same character; which means that they cannot make a seperate quest of their own. If this really bothers you, have your friend quest the character, and then discuss co-ownership when the custom is finished.
3. You may post a "hoping for" list in your thread, however these are not protected under any circumstances whatsoever. Anyone may request the characters that you yourself are not Kitsu-Questing for. Be prepared to lose out on characters you are not actively questing.
4. You must update your Kitsu-Quest thread once a week with information on what you are currently doing with the quest [ie: still questing, quest on hold for funds, switching quests]. You need to make a new forum post in your quest thread every week from now on.
5. People go on holidays sometimes, or hiatus. Fair enough, but PLEASE PM the Kitsusagi Helper mule to inform the staff of your dissapearance, so that your quest will still be protected.
6. No 'cross-play'. If a character is a male, you can only get a male Kitsu-Cosplay of it. If a character is a female, you can only get a female Kitsu-Cosplay of it. If you can provide sufficient evidence of a character being male/female ambiguous (such as Ranma, who switches from male to female) please discuss this with the Kitsusagi Helper staff. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
At least once a month, one of the Kitsusagi Helpers will go through this forum. Everyone who has been updating their quest weekly as requested will be left on the list.
Hopefully this will clean up the system a bit more, keep people from 'sitting' on cosplays for all eternity, and will stop any more problems. XP
