Well I'm pretty sure we all have either heard about it or seen it, the new slim ps2. What is everyone's opinion of it?? Do you plan on replacing your old ps2 for a new one??

I love my old ps2 to pieces and it still works just fine so I'm just fine with not buying the new one, but that's just my opinion. wink

I love the new PS2. 'Tis hot. ^.^
However, like you said, my old one is working perfectly (it's just built that well. . . wink ) so I won't be getting it.

The only thing is that people who play FF XI are sort of screwed if they get it. . . since you know, there's no harddrive space. But that's about it. There's really no use for the hard drive in a PS2 anyway (I think they're planning on one for the PS3 instead).

But yeah. Much sexay-ness.

Was thinking of maybe keeping my old one and buying a new one just for the heck of it. I'd just stick it on top of my old one and use one for games and one for movies or something wink

This is the main thing I'm worried about. My PS2 is only over a year old, but should it break down, I'll be stuck with a slim PS2 that has no room for a hard drive. (I bought a warranty with Best Buy that will replace the console should it break.)

There are still "old" PS2s available. Perhaps you could tell them you would prefer that kind over the other.

Actually people who play FF XI Aren't screwed. Square released a patch thing so they could play the game on the new PS2 without the Harddrive. I believe SEARS has it, although I reccomend finding another store because SEARS is the spawn of satan!! scream

Horror story eh? Basically they rip my parents off big time, and they lied to me when I tried to get a job there. I won't comment on the parent thing, but as for me, I was told I needed my SS Card to take the drug test so I could get the job there in the first place. but I didn't have mine because I left it in Florida when I moved to michigan. So I had to wait to get it, then when I called and told them I had it and I was going to go take the drug test, they told me I only needed the card to work there, not to take the test. Now keep in mind my friend Jeff was sitting right next to me and heard her say I needed it for the test. Oh well, all the more reason I fail to trust companies of that size... scream
