Boy, did it feel food to be home.
Galloping through the low fields of the plains as the wind tousled his long mane and the grass licked at his hooves; Twilight never felt more at peace. The day was setting slowly beyond the horizon of trees where he knew lay the vast and spectacular ocean. If only he could chase the sun off into the distance, but alas he posessed neither the ability to walk on water or to be able to swim such a long distance.
Yet a single thought kept tugging at the back of his mind.
Family.
He had yet to return to the family teepee since his arrival back in these lowlands...his youthful journies taking him far past the distant mountians he was leaving in his wake beyond to the desert. He'd seen it all, and had never been happier with his new nomadic lifestyle. Yet he'd heard of the dissapearence of his brother and mother....which left only his sister and father...both of which had been one of the reasons he left in the first place.
How could he have been tied down to the confines of the teepee when there was so much to see, and so many who need saving? He feared his family had a bit of a closed minded view on the world....yet that wasn't the case for Twilight...he shared his world with the rest of it, lived and breathed for others.
He never wanted it to change.

Unfortunately, change was a part of life - as Korofi had so often discovered, to his great dismay.
He hadn't wanted to leave his basket. Inside was safe and warm, and outside... well, judging by the noises he'd heard in the dark hours of the night, outside was dangerous.
And he'd been right. If he hadn't met that demon...
Well, then things would be different. The stallion sighed. Maybe things wouldn't have changed so much as he grew older, and maybe he could have stayed with his father at the two-legger teepee, or with his mother and her two-legger.
Hmph. Moaning about the results of your choices wasn't going to get you anywhere. And what better way to bring himself out of this gloomy mood than to run? It was the one thing he enjoyed most, a love he'd inherited from his father.
Korofi broke into a canter, then a fast run, and finally a full out gallop. The wind grasped at his mane and sought to hold him back, but he broke free. The grass, taller than his withers in some places, was like a sea of gold in the sunset.
He loved it.
If only it didn't have to change.

Perhaps....deep down...change could be a good thing afterall.
For it didn't seem he was alone in these open meadows.
A glimps of a figure reached his cerulean orbs as ears perked up in intrest, Twilight could almost say he was enjoying these new sightings of familliar lifeforms now that he was back home. It was amazing, but obvious that a lot of soquili were not so fond of the scorching desert heart or the sub zero temperatures and harsh climate of the mountians. However, down here with the lush grass and perfect temperatures company seemed to flourish!
With a small grin tugging at the corner of his lips, Twilight picked up the pace as with a small change in direction he was galloping in the wake of the other stallion....to his suprise was coloured quite like himself in the selection of hues!
"Hello!..?"
He called ahead, his muscles delightfully burning as he pushed himself to catch up till he was about a stride away at the other's flank. A pleasant smile etched onto the male's muzzle as he was a bit curious if the other would stop or at least slow down a bit.

When he was running, the world became a blur.
Nothing mattered anymore - time almost stopped, as if he ran in a void apart from life. He was alone and untouchable, as fast as the wind and strong enough to take anything on. Even himself. He flicked an ear in an unconscious gesture as he listened for the other.
Today there was silence, inside -and- out.
Then he noticed the dark stallion coming up next to him, and for a quick second he considered ignoring the greeting. But already the blur of green and blue weas sorting itself out into normal grass and sky. With an internal sigh Korofi pulled up and fell into an easy lope.
"Hi, yourself!" He grinned, shaking off his dark mood.
After all, if he wanted to be alone he should have stuck to his caves.
