i was recently asked the question that everyone seems to want to know about everyone else... "What do you look for in a significant other?"
well..
i gave the best answer i could at the time..
tall.. *i'm tall*
dark hair * it's sexy*
smart people heart
sarcasm heart heart
must be able to put up with my constant singing and dancing.. often in foreign language..

but then later i actually started thinking about it.. *normally jade thinking leads to chaos, panic and disorder, but this was good*
if i really thought about it, what would my ideal dreamlover be like..
i got Gregory House M.D.

8no, shut up and hear me out!*

he's got a razor sharp tounge *yes, but that tongue speaks truth.. just not always in the most tactful way*

he's self-serving *yeah, but by serving himself, he serves others.. he's never satisfied until he's fixed his patient or finds the answer to the problem when they die.. his drive is what saves those people's lives or what gives their families the answer to why they died..*

he pushes his team too much *but does it not make them perform at the top of their game? do they not learn something from every curveball he throws them?*

he's rude to his patients * when patients go to the doctor they want to hear the worst.. they always expect it.. he has fun with it before he lets them know that worrying never solves anything.. loosen up and quit whining.. also, if it were left up to anyone else sometimes consent forms would never get signed because people aren't always getting the gravity of the situation.. he lays it all out on the table and says you have 2 choices.. die and not try and save yourself, or do something proactive and fight for your ******** life!*

he plays in his office while the team does all the work.. *he's a man who has already mastered his craft.. he gives the orders so they can learn to master theirs too.. *

*discuss*
what is your perfect match like? really think about why...
have you met anyone like that?

also,
cheese grits are good xd

every time i hear about house i keep thinking that one episode of scrubs.
its only a tv show
he is house!
if i was gay...i could go for some cox (dr.) sweatdrop

anyways.

personally i always wanted a girl that could not be freaked out by the odd random things i do.
im dont have add or ocd or anything. i just do or say alot of random things (ive made alot of scrubs comparisons in the past with my personality...i love that show)
could handle the occasional sarcasm or the occasional mood swings.
among other properties that i look for in a girl.

so far. the search has come up empty. tv show characters, actors, or real people wise. 3nodding neutral

though im betting in tvland theres someone if i think hard enough.

My best friend is in love with House... I am hoping its the personality traits although Im pretty sure the physical traits have a lot to do with that too. She told me once that she wished her boyfriend was more like him... so do I... I think her boyfriend acts like a weeny(sp?)

As far as my perfect boyfriend, It took a little but so far I have come up with this...

he has to be tall, 6 foot atleast; he has to love the rain; and be both a homebody and a social butterfly; he should atleast be understandable that I love to sing and dance, not well, but I LOVE IT!!; he should be honest but know when it is appropriate to tell a white lie (ie: "no honey you dont look fat in that", not that I would ask that very cliche question); he should have a good work ethic; he should be optimistic, but a few pessimistic days are okay; he needs to know that one week out of every month I will most likely to be acting like a b***h but love me enough to know that its nothing personal; he needs to love his mom but not be a momma's boy; and last but definately not least, he has to get along with or atleast tolerate my mom, grandparents, and two best friends

Wow that turned out to be more than I thought it.

I've thought a lot about it, and I've managed to come up with preferences. I've always known I was picky. These are not musts..
Perfect to me at this moment in time:

Taller than me (I'm 4'11." Not hard.)
Can make me laugh.
Dark hair.
Dark eyes.
Not too shy. Can take the initiative.(because I'm shy and usually cannot.)
Not TOO thin.
But I also tend to not be attracted to TOO big either. (I don't know why I'm so picky.. )
Likes to playfully argue. Otherwise, they'd be pissed at me a lot because I don't stop..
I tend to like dark skin. TEND to..
I like big lips.
Clueless-ness is not attractive.
Not lazy. Works for their money.
Actually has some money and isn't always broke..
Can handle the fact that I'm a very moody person.

And why... I have no idea. sweatdrop
It definitely has nothing to do with how I grew up or how I was taught or anything. Hmm.. Just random preference I guess.
And sure, I've met guys who are like that.

My mum is in love with House. I love the sarcastic attitude. His trust issues remind me of mine.

i found my perfect match. i dont think he feels the same way about me though...
he's tall, plays guitar, is funny, smart, sarcastic..
he's a camp counselor over the summer. he loves to go on adventures. he has an amazingly contagious laugh. he's totally independent and does his own thing. he's completely random... and i'm completely smitten with myself all over him. but i dont think we'll ever work out. lack of interest. but that's the one i want. *sigh*

Before I started dating my boyfriend I didn't really have too many things I wanted in a significant other. Other than tall with pretty hair, chubby or skinny, who could be somewhat dominating of me (I'm a control freak, I wanted my significant other to be somebody I could relax with and let them take charge) with a good personality...although the good personality thing is debateable, I tend to go for assholes.... I think it's so sexy when they're complete asses to me sweatdrop

I don't believe in picking out specific traits because I think so many people are so focused on finding somebody who fits all the traits they decided were important that they miss out on somebody who is perfect for them... we don't always want what we need.

But now I'd have to say my boyfriend is probably the perfect person for me... he was shorter than me when we first met and I don't think he's much taller than me now (unless he had a growth spurt since we last saw one another), his hair is prettier now that he keeps it cut, average...not too chubby or skinny (he has such a cute tummy, though whee ), the biggest pushover I've ever met... but I can let him be in control when I really need to, and he's a sweetheart (although he can be a bit of an a*****e when he wants). I don't always like his fashion, but he lets me choose clothes for him and he gladly wears them (if he likes them. I go out of my way to pick ones I think will look good on him and see him liking...and if he says no he doesn't have to get it).

Not only that, he deals with my moodiness for the most part, he's loving and sweet and he's the best listener... I can tell him anything, and he accepts any horrible secret I have and usually sees eye to eye with me on the things I think (at least that I consider important), and he's understanding... he wants my happiness most of all... He really is almost like a human version of my old dog, Mister... he seems to love me almost unconditionally... and he always wants me to give him attention and love and just pouts if I push him away 'cause I'm loved out.

So far, the only fictional character I've found myself in love with is Gert of the runaways.

*swoons, fans himself*

ok.. apparently jade didn't make herself clear sweatdrop
the point is not what fictional character you have a lust for, i just used the awesomeness that is house as an example of things i like and why i like them....
jade can be a bit bad at the explanations sometimes

I got it, but I did kinda feel dumb being the only person who isn't really in love with any TV show character... I don't even know the characters y'all are talking about gonk

I likes me some real boys.

My current (and only in my life) boyfriend is perfect for me, imo.
He's 6'3 and 150lbs. (Skinny man.)
Strong though, can pick me up, hold two backpacks on his back and carry me down a steep path in the woods.
@_@

He's smart, laid back, concerned for my safety, polite to my friends/parents/grandparents/other extended family. He's not afraid to talk to or be with me around his friends (who happen to be my friends as well now). He has a good sense of humor, and isn't easily offended. He also isn't afraid to joke around with me and my family as well, and he knows that I can take care of myself if I have to.

He has a calming deep voice; blue/green eyes and sandy brown wavy hair. (Which was just recently cut short.) He's an identical twin, the younger of the two. Oh, and he has one helluva happy trail. rofl
Sure you wanted to know.

He likes what I like (music/games/literature/arts) but we mutually appreciate and respect if there is something we don't have in common. Also, he is very supportive of my pursuit of the visual arts as well as my schoolwork.

Of course there are multiple imperfections...but those are what make him perfect.
If that makes sense?

Also, he's very self-supportive and hard working. His family doesn't have much money, so he has to work for every penny he uses.
He spent two weeks after school for a few hours each day (plus a few on the weekends) to get enough to take me to prom.

Oh, and he gives good hugs. heart
I rambled.

Well, let's see. I suppose my ideal girl would...

-Be Funny
-Be able to match me in geekiness
-Be A Gamer (and I'm not talking about just the occasional game of The Sims)
-Have as eclectic a taste in music as me.
-Be curvy domokun
-not mind that I'm only 5'8'' emo
-be artistic (artist, writer, musician, whatever)
-Wear glasses heart

That would be about it, I'd say.
