There was nothing like a nice nap under a well shaded tree. A Stallion that resembled much like a cat, laid there with his eyes shut. His ears were forwards in case he were to hear something. The day was rather hot, which he didn't like at all.
Sleeping the day away was always good, though sometimes others would disturb him. Of course, it wasn't too much of a problem. Though, sometimes it was annoying and made him a bit annoyed.
Today seemed like a good day. Urza wouldn't be annoyed if someone woke him up. It wasn't totally hot, which made it even better. He hated being out in the hot weather, it made him feel tired and want to sleep. It also made him wish he liked water. Though, he'd never got that far and actually get in it. Just stair at it from a far unless he needed a drink.

Her wings fluttered in an attempt to cool her body in this unbareable heat. Oh how she regretted having walked so far from her home near the beach! The long, wavy mane didn't help either except that it shaded her eyes from the dreaded sun. Nalani searched around for a tree to escape this hell.
The trees were a far from her and she began to get irritated. Just my luck! Now I have to walk even longer in this godforsaken heat! She snorted and began her trip to the nearest shade. The mare looked up at the sky and wanted to curse the clouds for not protecting her from the burning rays of the sun.

Urza continued to lay there, but the sound of something like big butterfly wings caused him to open one eye and look about. He couldn't see much except blue wings and a brown mane. He opened two eyes. The other looked rather small to be a soquili. Or at least the ones he's ran into.
Now he was actually moving his head to get a better look. He raised an eyebrow yet didn't move from his spot. The other was still far away, and he didn't feel like moving out into the heat.

The mare shook her mane away from her face and sped up her pace. She could not tolerate the heat any longer. As she started trotting a scent caught her attention and she flared her nostrils. Looks like there's another nearby. I wonder how they are baring the temperature. Finally she had reached her destination and took shelter under the tree's shadow.

Urza finally saw that the other was a mare. Indeed, she was smaller then any he had seen. He continued to lay there, though his full attention was now on the mare. His curiosity was strong sometimes.
She had strange wings, much like a butterfly, but she also had a horn he had never seen before. This made him even more curious. He watched her even more. Not blinking. His purple eyes gave a kind of glow with his black markings around his eyes. His tail was braided and in a strange way on the ground, but he paid no attention. He didn't care how he looked.

Once again her nostrils flared as the scent was much stronger now. Her delicate ears twitched and she flicked her tail. The mare raised her head and looked around. The stranger must be close by if the scent is this strong.
She spotted something near the roots of another tree, but it didn't move. Nalani tilted her head to get a better view of the creature. Hmmm...it appears to be a soquili. Blinking a couple times, she wondered why it wasn't moving and why it was just staring at her. A blush appeared on her cheeks and the mare tried to cover her embarrassment with her mane.

Urza decided it was now time to actually stand up, since the other had now noticed him. This made him feel like a stalker or something. He blinked as he stood up. It was rather hard to stand up in this weather, but he did it.
His braided mane made noise as the beads clinked together. He shook his body to get the loose grass off. He started to walk towards the other. He raised an eye brow. "Hello."

The stranger's deep voice reached her ears and she shook her head. "Hello," She replied. The soquili was a male as she noticed from his voice. He somehow reminded her of a cat, although his eyes were unique and different than any feline she has ever seen.

Urza took a few steps then stopped. He tilted his head at her. "What are you?" he asked not realizing he kind of said it rudely. He was only curious, of course. He didn't mean it to sound so rude, but sometimes it happened.

Her ears perked at his commonly asked question and smiled. "I'm what they call a 'Fluttercorn'. Am I the first you have encountered?" She flicked her tail again, curious as to why he had asked. I wonder who else he has met. Not many others I assume.

Well, that was obvious if he was asking the question? He raised a brow. "Well, yeah. Never seen something with that horn or wings like a butterfly." He said "I've never seen them alone on one, or together like your own." He added.
Was this normal to run into? Or had he stumbled on a possible rare seeing? He had no clue, nor did he care if it was rare or not. But his curiosity lingered still. Damn that evil thing. It always made him act rude. "Can you fly?"

"Heh, I really wish I could, but my wings are too small to carry my weight. I merely hover over the ground." She fluttered her wings to show him as she floated in the air for a couple of seconds.

He blinked for a moment. Then watched her hover. He raised an eye brow. Well, that was sure interesting. He'd never seen a horse that could fly, let alone hover. It was quite impressive. "Well, it's better then having no wings at all, right?"

After thinking about what he said, she nodded, "It's true. At least it helps me keep cool from this outrageous temperature." Nalani looked up at the sky and sighed. "It's never been this hot before, at least since I've lived here." She blinked a few times and then looked back at the stallion, "Which reminds me...I have never seen you before. What is your name?"
