ROLPLAYING GAME

!OPEN!

:Story:

This, my fair weather friends, is set in the future. It is also set in the past.

You see, we are re-writing history, you and I. In this history, the law that being attracted to the same gender makes you mentally ill is not abolished, but is also enforced. Anybody proven, or in fact even suspected of being Gay is sent to special mental hospitals, where they can be 'cured', and kept away from decent, innocent citizens.

It is far into the future, where technology is incredibly advanced, and cyborgs handle most dangerous things so that no human life be sacrificed or put into unpleasant positions.

These mental hospitals for the sexually ill are run by cyborgs, which would perhaps explain the mind set of 'decent' folks in these future times.

These hospitals are in excellent condition, clean and orderly. The people in them are not so fortunate. They are brainwashed, isolated and punished daily for their wickedness. Finding a cure is no longer the hospitals goal, it is simply to punish those they believe are spawn.

In fact, there is a law currently being debated on whether or not it should be made official. Are homosexuals human? If not, the hospitals will no longer be hospitals.

They will be execution facilities.

Hearing of this, some of the patients in Smiths Hospital for the Mentally Ill have decided it's time to take their fate into their own hands.

A rebellion is beginning...

heart Rules heart

I hate profiles.

I think they restrict character development and ruin the fun of showing more of your characters personality off bit by bit.

So basically, I shall not be asking for profiles.

Though I will have a list of who joins, but that's mostly just to keep tabs of how many people join.

I am asking that no one god modes, gets into personal OOC fights, keeps PG16 when it comes to romance, and write posts with more than one sentence.

You do not need my permission to join. In fact, if you ask to join, I will tell you no. So there.

It is never too late to join. I dont care if we're a hundred pages in, go ahead. More the better.

The type of people we need for charectors are patients and people in staff. Remember, all the people in staff are cyborgs, though they are very advanced with artificial intellegence, so they pretty much think like humans.

The hospital is co-ed, and it deals with people 18 and up in age.

That's pretty much it ^_^

His sheets smelled like plastic.

Considering that he had been denied dinner the day before and had new bruises on his arms and neck, you would think that the condition of his sheets would be the last thing on his mind.

Right than, the smell of the sheets was the only thing on Daniel Fledgings mind.

In all truth, it was also putting him in a bit of a sour mood.

He wondered what time it was, and if morning had come yet and how soon the doors would be unlocked. He wondered what day it was.

Daniel was twenty-three years old, and had been in good old Smith's hospital for the Sexually Ill sense he was eighteen years old.

Six years. He had spent the last six years in this building.

That thought still made his skin crawl.

God these sheets smelled weird.

He shifted his weight, hearing the bunker bed squeek under him. He wondered if his roomate, who slept on the top bunk, was awake. He wondered if he should say something to find out; he really wanted to talk to someone. Mostly to get his mind of his sheets.

His perfectly clean, stiff, plastic smellling sheets.

Damn.

This was going to be one of those days.

Daniel barely took notice as the screeching sound of a bell filled the room, the ceiling lights automatically flickering on with a soft buzz. The lights and the bell were both set on a timeline and automatic, as was everything else in this god forsaken place.

That was the way things were here. Other than the occasional visit from health inspecters and board directors to check up on things, nothing but the the hospitals patiants breathed any life. All the plants were plastic and fake, it's workers metal and faker.

One time about three years ago a family member achually visited some new kid once, and that was about the last time anyone on the outside had come in. Well, anyone that wasnt sick.

Daniel watched unconcerned as the automatic door swung open and stayed open. The door wouldnt close again until at 8' o clock tonight. Heaven forbid anyone that wasnt in their rooms in time, or they'd be sleeping in the hallways. It happened too a lot of newbies.

Which was atchually kind of funny really.

Zenji shivered, yet as much as that was a sign of personal weakness, his cold golden eyes liked to show otherwise. Sick. That was what he had been told since the moment his parents had found him sleeping with another male. His lips twitched into a smirk at the very rememberance. What a memory it was. The look on his parents face, priceless. Zenji couldn't have asked for any more. Zenji felt the push from the mechanical being, and he snarled, which was just the result of the corner of his lip raising up, baring some of his white canines. Nothing too harmful.

Zenji walked almost silently, like a shadow, being led to his room where he would be staying. How he hoped it was a padded walled room. Seemed fitting since he was 'sick,' no? He twitched his hands lightly, then stuffed them deep within the pockets of his leather pants. THey was jet black, like his hair, and tight fitting to the slim, skinny body. He glanced around, seeing when he first walked in another male, and a grin spread over his features. Ah, he wasn't alone. Zenji tore his gaze as he continued on towards his room, still led by the mechanical nusience. Technology. What a bore. When he was finally shown to his room Zenji just turned his quiet, yet rageful gaze towards the machiene. he offered a bit of a smirk before he shut the door, and tossed his belongings to the corner of the room. Glancing around he noted that the beds were bunk beds. Two beds. That meant..sharing. Zenji frowned. He didn't share. In addition, he also saw that the other bed was made, another suitcase in the opposite corner. The hair on his neck bristled.

This was going to be a long stay.

Daniel glanced up, startled. He heard footsteps.

That wasnt uncommon really. Nobody really had to get up as soon as the door opened, but Daniel knew there was some early risers among the patiants,

But these paticualr pair of footsteps were accompanied by another pair. Heavier.

Heavy footsteps were always a bad sign around here.

"Mike, do you hear that?" Daniel asked his roomate, frowning as he diddnt get a reply. Mike snored, so Daniel could always tell when his friend was asleep, and the room was quiet..."Mike?"

Daniel sat up and grabbed onto the edge of the top bunk, lifting himself up to see over the top be, a sudden dread filling him.

The bed was perfectly made. Mike wasnt there.

He turned his head to look as the footsteps grew close, two people walking into the room. One of them was what he had been afraid of, one of those machines, one he reconized as #47, though some of the kids had dubbed him Rat becouse of his greased thin hair and squinty eyes. In front of him was...

Well, Daniel realized with a sinking heart, was probably his new roomate.

"Hey Rat," Daniel scowled, sitting back onto his bottom bunk, not paying any mind to the new kid, "What did you all do with Mikey?"

Zenji turned his gaze right from the suitcases, which had been oddly captivating, towards the sound in the room. A voice. A human voice. A voice that made Zenji want to scowl. He moved his line of sight from the bags towards the person that the voice was coming from. Zenji's odd golden eyes rested on his new 'roomate's' face. Zenji didn't look american at all, and for the record looked quite exotic. It was obvious to say that he was deffiantely not from around these parts. The mechincal being turned to Daniel, opening his mouth to answer the question asked.

"Relocated. This is your new roomate. His name is Zenji."

And with that, the artificial male left the room. Zenji said nothing, and began to let his eyes wander around the room once more. Shabby, cramped, stale smelling. Wonderful. The twenty year old wrinkled his nose in disgust. All this for screwing a few guys? He wanted to laugh, and bitterly. Zenji, or Zen as some people called him, said nothing to his new roomate, and merely stuffed his hands into his pockets out of boredom. This place reeked, and he detested it the moment that he had laid his placid eyes upon it. There was nothing for him. Nothing but a bunch of guys he could potentially screw. Yes, he would like that. Why else would he be here? For posessing a great sin that the world was hardly ready for? Ignorant. That was what he thought of them, every last one of them. Zenji hardly cared if he was punished for his 'crimes.' Pain was not something he even knew anymore, since he hardly even felt. He simply...existed.

Daniel's scowl deepend as he glared at the machines retreating back. Relocated his a**, just tell that to Bessy and Sasha and Preston and...

Well, a lot of people were being 'relocated' in the middle of the night over the last year. The only problem was was that nobody could figure out where they were being relocated too, let alone why...

Daniel sighed, getting up from his bed and crawling up to the top bunk, resting on his back and staring at the ceiling. He'd have to tell everybody Mike was gone at breakfast...

"Dont worry about un-packing your luggage," Daniel stated absent-mindedly, suddenly remembering the new kid. "They're going to take them away later. Dont worry about your clothes either, you still get to wear them, they're just going to be picking which outift you wear from now on. You get bottom bunk." Speaking of which, Daniel glanced up at the door, where what he was going to wear that day was hung up on. He smiled, his black shirt and blue jeans with his white sneakers, thank god for small favores. The staff diddnt really have much of what one called 'fashion sense', nor did they care whose clothes achually belonged to who. Just last week, he had been given Sarah's blue dress to wear...

Sarah, another 'Relocated'.

"Oh, and I'm Daniel." Daniel added on a second thought. He usually took more interest in new people, understanding that most of them were scared at this point and needed to be handled delicatly till they settled, but Daniel couldnt help feeling some resentmant to the new roomate. He had been Mike's roomate for nearly two years; he had grown attached to the overwieght jerk.

Zenji still just fixated his stare into one portion of the room, not moving, almost as if he was just glued to where he stood. His eyes would flicker about at times, catching every noise that was made in his relative hearing distance. At times even small grins or smirks would cross over his serene face, yet as to what had caused them or why he had done it was quite the mystery. In fact, Zenji as a whole was a mystery. It wasn't as if he tried purposely to be the odd ball, but it was what it was, and that summed up Zenji quite nicely. He didn't go around saying much of anything, so people were always in the dark about who he was, where he came from, and why he acted the way he did.

Zenji heard his roomate, absently tilting his head upward to look at him, though made no movement to confirm that everything had resigistered in his mind. Hm. So they would decide everything. Ah, nothing like a bit of freedom that was violently snatched away. It made for good living, undoubtedly. Zenji headed towards his bed, not making any problems, for he was much better on the bottom as it was. Climbing to get in and out of bed everynite and morning seemed like quite the chore. Zenji heard the name, his roomate's name, but again made no sound or movement. He just layed quietly on his bed, staring up at the bottom of Daniel's. It would have been nicer to see the celieng, but beggers wern't choosers, and everything looked the same to him as it was. Grey. Dull. Lifeless.

Daniel shifted, suddenly a little uncomfortable at the new kid's...silience. The guy was taller than him, though Daniel had a feeling he was older, and he had an odd way of moving. Daniel diddnt really like the way the kid seemed to stare at nothing at all either.

It happened more often that he liked to think about, but not every patient that came here was perfectly sane, other than being sick. Sometimes society would mistake an honestly insane person as simply a homo, throwing them in here to be treated. Other times criminals will pretend to be gay to get out of going to jail, thinking this place would be easier to live in. A minor mistake as far as society was concerned, a bit of a bigger problem for the honest fags in the hospital, who have to live with these people.

Daniel hoped that wasnt the case with his new roomate.

"I'm going to go change," Daniel muttered, more to himself than his currently nameless roomate, suddenly feeling confined and needing to move. The hall's would be pretty much empty this early in the morning, but Daniel diddnt mind too much. He just suddenly felt an immense need to get away from his new living partner.

He jumped off the top bunk, heading over to the open door. His black hair, with thin little brown highlights kept falling over his eyes, their green lobes glaring at his uncoaperative bangs. He needed a haircut. He grabbed his hung outfit, his ears intent, listening to hear if the new kid was following. Unsure if he was or wasnt, the kid had been practically silent walking in, he headed down to the bathrooms.

Zenji, to be exact, was in his early twenties. However, looking at him, he didn't appear to be so old, and looked rather young at that. This was also not the first time that his silence had unnerved a person he was around. The silence wasn't just a peaceful, serene sort of hush. It was eerie, as if the air was thick and hard to breathe. It wasn't tension, just apprehension that so many people had towards him, unknowing anything about the male. Zenji preferred to keep it that way. When you shared information, you got hurt. It was as simple and easy as that. Everything Zenji did was quiet; his footsteps hardly made a sound, as if he was a mere shadow, and it was even hard to hear him breath. One had to strain their ears, or be right beside him, to know that yes in fact he was breathing well and alive. Living. What a word to cast around so idly. Many things lived, though did they deserve it? He was no one to judge, yet felt as though he was undeserving of the life he had been granted so wistfully. He smirked to himself. But, could he really consider himself alive if he felt..nothing?

Zenji heard Daniel say something about getting dressed, or changing, something of the sort. Zenji only moved his hands behind his head in response. It amused him to an extent that people needed to run and hide from him. He was just gay, not a serial killer. Still, it was humerous to watch, even if he was the source and the butt of all jokes. Intimidation. They werejust frightened. Humans by nature were afraid of things that they knew nothing about, and were terrified without just reason. Zenji though it was all highly amusing. No, Zenji was no criminal, just a silent male who liked to screw guys. No mystery there.

The stotic male kept his eyes upon the bed above him the entire time, his bangs pushed off to the side. his hair was silky and long, the tips reaching between his shoulder blades. his bangs were long, and when they covered his eyes it was as if a veil curtian of black shrouded his golden eyes from everything. Zenji yawned, catching himself a bit off guard, and noted that yes, he was a bit tired afterall. He shifted his position, curling slightly as he draped one of the thin sheets over his body. Sleep was kind to him this morning, as he lulled into a faint nap.

Daniel felt stupid.

He felt immature and inexperianced and stupid.

During the entire time he had been heading off to the bathroom, he had felt this stupid, unreasonable terror wash over him, pratically running into one of the bathroom stalls, startling the s**t out of the occupant next to him, who had left quickly. After changing into his clothes, he had gone outide the stall, washed his hands and stared into his reflection the clean, polished mirror, wondering what the hell was wrong with him.

He had been scared by a newbie.

He had been scared of a newbie who had barely even glanced his way!

And the thing that pissed him off the most was that he was still shaking!

"Dont go losing your head now Danny-boy," Daniel whispered to himself, using the nickname Terrance used to call him, the man's voice repeating in his head, "it's just a kid. A kid in a new enviorment having to get used to a new way of living. The last thing he, or you, needs is for you to go paranoid on him on his first day. Now stop being a loser and go introduce yourself properly before I kick your a**."

"Right."

So he had washed his hair and walked back to his room, saying hi to some familiar early risers on the way, and had gone back to the room.

The kid was asleep.

God , he felt stupid.

It wasn't strange that Daniel, his roomate, had felt scared. Zenji had that effect on people. It wasn't easy to get along with, not because he was a jerk or anything of the sort, but because he didn't open himself up. He was silent nearly all of the time, which some people took as queer and others took as rude. Most of all, the assest that frightened everyone the most was his eyes. Eyes were the windows to the soul, or so they said, and it was easy to tell people's emotions through the crystal orbs. However, when people glanced into his, they saw absolutely..nothing.

Dead.

Lifeless.

He had the eyes of a corpse. They were a beautiful gold, yet that was it. They had no spark, nothing to show amusement, sadness, fear, love. It was if someone had sucked everything right out of him, leaving a hollow shell of a body that still was able to move about, and exist. He was no better than those robots outside. They were one in the same.

Zenji slept rather peacefully, which was a bit shocking. His hands rested on the pillow, his lower half carefully covered by the thin white sheet that was very reminscient of a hospital cover. His mouth was partially open, his breath still so vauge that it was hard to know if he was still alive or not. His face was just peaceful, calm and quiet. He had the looks to be normal, yet there was something about him, some air around the kid, that made everyone so fearful.

"Kill me.."

He said through his sleep, though his face never screwed into a twisted grimace or face of pain. It had been a simple request, not so much as a plea but as a desire. Zenji's voice had been soft, light without any pain whatsoever. It was as hollow as his eyes were, as hollow as he felt inside.

Daniel frowned. This guy was untouchable even in his sleep.

'oh, I can tell he's going to be a joy to live with' Daniel rolled his eyes at himself.

'I should wake him up, apoligize for the cold reception.'

'What? That's a terreble idea! Just let the creepy little nut sleep.'

'wake him up, offer to show him around. Do it.'

'Sure, if he doesnt bite your thumb off for disturbing him.'

Daniel suddenly winced, pichuring a bloody stump where his thumbs were.

'Why does this guy make you so nervouse? Usually only the staff makes you this nervouse!'

'Or that mechancial mouse. Man it that thing creepy.'

'Oh yeah man, and that parrat they had three years ago. God, what were they thinking?'

Daniel wasnt scitzophranic. He just argued with himself alot.
