Jaw strength. Hrm... He'd been thinking on it for a while and it had taken him a while to come up with something that was worth looking into. His first idea had been to try having him use his jaws to hang off of a rope much like he had seen small dogs do before. He decided against this as he didn't want the boy to risk hurting his teeth.

He'd gone through a few other ideas before falling to one that sounded like fun to him if for no other reason then getting to go out to a nice dinner on D-corp. He was waiting outside of a rather high class restaurant, a French Place that would serve the foods that he was needing for Fleur to test his jaw strength on the most important of those foods being snails. Snails had strong shells that held within them their tasty meat so it was a perfect test for Fleur.

A note had been sent to the skunk child and his guardian telling them were they were meeting.

"Please, oh, puh-leeeeze let them have Dr. Pepper..." Dr. Stevie Schlotkin whimpered with a pleading expression and clasped hands held to the sky. Somehow, she and Chrysler had completely miscalculated the stock of Dr. Pepper, so she was having to ration what she had left until Chrysler managed to make a trip to the wholesale store which would probably not be until tomorrow. They were just thankful they had noticed the shortage before the scientist actually ran out or else she might have been in the hospital by now due to withdrawal.

"I'm sure they will," Fleur reassured her with a smile, reaching down to scratch Aube en Argent's fin. "Everybody else in town does."

"Yeah, but this is a fancy-shmancy restaurant - they might only have wine and crap like that," Stevie sighed. She shook her head and tugged at her dress shirt and pants to make sure they had not wrinkled on the way over, frowning down at Fleur when she adjusted her glasses. "While normally I don't care what you wear, do you really think that was a good idea? This is your teacher, after all..."

Fleur blinked up at her and then down at himself, brushing the wrinkles out of the pretty red dress he bought for tonight. It was made of silk with long sleeves and embroidered with gold trim. Stevie had to admit that it looked really good on it, but still... "What about it?" Fleur asked, genuinely confused.

"...never mind." Stevie shook her head. "Where's your teacher?"

Orpheus pushed away from the wall when he saw the pair coming his way, he gave a wave before hurrying over to them, "Hello there Fleur." He greeted, "And Fleur's mom." He should have checked his notes to figure out the name of the skunk boy's parent but hadn't remembered to bring them to him. Ah well he could write down notes about what happened during the class when he got back to D-Corp.

"We have a table waiting for us inside." He told them, he didn't seem at all caught off guard by what Fleur was wearing since his son had the same habit when he dressed. He made a motion with his hand then headed to the door opening it up for them. A waiter would be standing there inside awaiting the trio so that he could lead them to the their awaiting table.

Fleur beamed and perked his tail up happily when he saw his teacher's bright red hair. He revered Orpheus though he had never said anything about it. This man had helped him to stop stinking and, thus, had immensely boosted Fleur's confidence in himself. He was no longer afraid to leave the house without perfume although he was wearing some now just for effect since they were at a fancy restaurant. Speaking of which...

"Class is here?" he questioned, curious. He was not quite sure what he was expecting, but this was not it. What could he possibly learn here?

Mom...? Stevie sighed inwardly with a slight tilt of her head to the side. She hated being called that. She never wanted kids to begin with for as long as she lived, and being called "mom" just reminded her of D-Corp forcing her to take Fleur much as she adored him now. That was why Fleur called her "Bah" instead of "Mom". Shaking her head, Stevie introduced herself, "Dr. Stevie Schlotkin." She normally did not put in the prefix, but it just slipped out.

Orpheus nodded his head, "Well class could have been at D-corp but I figured that since those in charge foot the bill for things tied into classes I thought we should go somewhere nice. That and I have no idea how to cook the things your gonna be practicing on."

The poor patrons of the restaurant, come to have a relaxing meal and instead they would bare witness to Orpheus instructing a kid upon how to chomp his way into snail shells.

He then looked over at Fleur's mother again and gave a whistle, "Wow, a doctor huh?" He said sounding quite impressed by that. He spent a moment wondering what sort of doctor since there medical ones, scientific ones, animal doctors.

When they got to their table he pulled out Dr. Schlotkin's chair for her as he'd seen done in movies before taking his own seat, the last seat would place his student between him and the doctor, "Alright, once we get some drinks I will explain todays class."

Fleur was even more intrigued now. His lesson involved eating? This would definitely be interesting. He made himself comfortable in his chair, snaking his broad tail through the back, and Argent placed her head in his lap with a pleading look. "No," the skunk admonished his dragon, "I told you not in public." Argent had recently developed a very annoying habit of insisting upon sitting in Fleur's lap when he ate, and while Fleur normally did not mind, his dragon was getting too big too fast to keep it up, especially in public where people would stare at the bizarre sight.

Stevie made herself comfortable as well, amused at the bickering to her side as Argent proceeded to give Fleur hurt doe eyes. She distracted herself by turning her attention back to the instructor, requesting Dr. Pepper when a waitress came by. "Yeah," she said with a shrug. "I'm a roboticist. Chrysler would have come in my place, but she's busy grocery shopping - she's one of my first robots."

Fleur perked up at the mention of Chrysler, chirping his input after requesting ginger ale for both himself and Argent, "She can breathe fire!" His fascination with that fact was endless, and he never grew tired of watching Chrysler make her own toast in the mornings.

"Robots? A bit out of my league thats for sure." He said, even more impressed then before, he was all athletic and not as much of the mental stuff, that had always been the part that Emer played in their last job, "Firebreathing? Does that come in handy?" He wondered why a robot would be equipped with such a thing, then again he could see how it would be useful.

"Alright." He ordered some water for himself and ask for an endless cycle of coffee before turning to Fleur, "Do you know what Escargo is?" He asked of his student, pointing to it on the menu.

Stevie could not help but blush a little when Fleur brought up Chrysler's fire breathing. "No, it doesn't," she admitted with a sigh. "It was an accident she ended up with that." She knew it fascinated Fleur though, so she could not fault him for bringing it up.

"Escargot?" Fleur repeated, rolling the word on his tongue before sticking his tongue out. "No..." He found it on the menu and quickly read the description. Then he read it again to make sure he actually read it right before slowly lifting his gaze up to his teacher. "...you want me to eat what?" The skunk gave his guardian a crestfallen look when Stevie started laughing. He saw nothing funny about having to eat snails even if it was for a class!

Orpheus couldn't help but laugh at the look that the skunk got on his face before shaking his head, "You don't have to eat them though they are rather good, instead you just need to practice getting into them." He laid his menu down, "They are tough critters with strong outer shells, your DNA though gives you a really strong jaw. You should easily be able to break into them."

"Oh..." Fleur muttered in response with a frown. Well, he supposed that was okay as long as he did not have to eat them...

Stevie grinned at her skunk's dilemma, still highly amused at his reaction. "I'll get a big meal we can split," she reassured him though she could not help but tease him as well. "Unless you decide you like snails, in which case we can take the leftovers home~" She started laughing again at the horrified look Fleur gave her and the way his ears drooped back to hide in his hair.

"Just order something else that appeals to you, what you can eat after your done with your snails if you really don't like the taste of them." Orpheus said, "Food, drinks, dessert its all on D-Corp so... anything that looks good." He gave a grin, he was sure those in charge weren't gonna be amused by a receipt from a fancy restaurant going under class expenses but... eh. It was a legitimate enough reason.

When the waiter came back around with their drinks which were set out before them, Orpheus ordered the snails for Fleur then dessert for himself. He was sure that Fleur wouldn't eat as many snails as ordered if any so he would share with the skunk.

The Waiter then looked over to Fleur and Stevie to see what they wanted.

Fleur, even more relieved at that, looked up at the waiter, replying, "The filet mignon, please. And another for Dawnie." Argent purred from under his seat with a twitch of her tail, not quite sure what that was but trusting her boy's judgment. She had not really been listening to the conversation about "escargot", whatever that was, but was quite sure she did not care.

"J'aurai le emincé de volaille, s'il vous plaît," Stevie offered in French, surprising herself at the mere fact that she remembered enough French to pull it off. She blinked at Fleur's wide-eyed reaction though. "...what?"

"You said your French sucked!" Fleur whined piteously, perturbed at the fact that he had had to teach himself the language because Stevie never wanted to teach him.

"It does!" she protested. "That and 'where's the bathroom' are all I remember!"

Orpheus did his best to keep from laughing at the exchange, it made him wish that one of his kids had come along too... well no. Not one of them, made him wish Ligeia were here. Ter would be complaining and well... A lot about Fleur from his colors and his mode of dress made Orpheus think of the owl.

The waiter took down on his pad what they had ordered before turning to go and give the order to the cook in charge. This would be his first time ever serving a dragon he realized, giving the creature a look before moving a little faster. Something like that was the last thing he wanted to anger by being slow to get its food.

Argent gave the waiter a fang-filled smile when he looked down at her and blinked in surprise when he left in a hurry, leaving her bewildered. Maybe she was not supposed to smile? She thought that was a common courtesy. She began nibbling the tail of Fleur's dress when he and Stevie continued to bicker, her way of telling him to just drop the subject already though it did not work because he understood her point.

"Ah!" the skunk yelped when he felt that, distracted from his debate with Stevie as he tried to save the hem of his dress, glaring at his dragon. "You keep doing that, and I'll have to teach you how to sew so you can fix all the frays you make on my clothes!" Fleur turned to his drink and quietly sulked into it, completely forgetting about his debate.

Argent just grinned and rested her head on her front claws. It worked every time.

This time Orpheus was unable to keep from laughing as he looked over to Stevie, "You son reminds me of my oldest in so many ways." He said, glad in a way to see that he wasn't the only one that had a child like Ligeia. He lifted up his cup of coffee to take a long, slow sip off of it before setting it back down already half of it gone. It was the elixier of the Gods if you asked him.

He then turned to look at Fleur, "Shouldn't take to long for them to bring out the snails then we can begin." He wouldn't make it to hard, after all it was just testing the strength of the boy's jaws and one couldn't mess it up he didn't think. He would have the skunk boy break into a few of them, decide what he thought of them, then they would enjoy their meal.
