If I were Masashi Kishimoto, this is what I would do:

Sasuke would need medical help and Sakura would help him. When that happens, Sasuke realizes he has feelings for Sakura. SasuSaku would be canon heart . Naruto would feel bad, so Hinata would cheer him up. Once that happens, she tells Naruto her true feelings. Naruto is ok with that. NaruHina would become canon heart . Then, since Karin would feel bad that Sasuke is with Sakura, at first, Suigetsu would make fun of her. Then, they would become more attached. SuiKari would become canon heart .

Sorry if there are some anti-naruhinas and anti-suikaris out there, but thats what I would absolutely looooooooooooove in Naruto heart

Also, I think Naruto's already aware of Sasuke and Sakura's relationship, so I don't think he'd be sad if they got together. ( Unless you meant he was sad for some other reason )

I wouldn't say that Sasuke REALIZES he has feelings for her. I think he already knows that he does.

"The one who filled his lonely existance was Sakura. But he cannot let her in."

^That shows that he knows, but he's pushing her away because of his need for revenge and his protective streak. Basically he's rejecting what he wants and what he knows it here.

Unfortunetly for Sasuke, he's never been good and completely blockading people. He's just too caring of a guy to do that, even if his caring comes in strange ways and is usually rather mean. Protectiveness and caring come hand in and hand, and we've seen him demonstrate that side of him repeatedly.

If I was going to tie everythign together in the end, I don't think I would have Sasuke come back after defeating Itachi (notice I didn't say kill. I don't think he has it in his heart do it, and I think there is more to the massacre anyway, so I'm sure that will come up to hinder the end of the battle and all that good stuff, and even if there isn't I don't think Sasuke will want to have himself labeled as the "last Uchiha" because he killed his brother, the REST of his family.). I had been telling akami_hi that I felt Kabuto would have some big part later in the story, and guess what? Kabuto appears with the complete and utter creations for future arcs. I love when Kishimoto creates plot devices like this.

Anyway, my thoughts? Kabuto is going to be testing out his abilities by fulfilling Orochimaru's goal-- meaning another invasion of Konoha to crush it with the Sound army. Maybe.

And this is when we'll see Sasuke in Konoha again-- it's way for him to retie his loyalties to Konoha and gives him some political leverage, especially if he saves some key people in the village or manages to hinder a lot of the battle, OR becomes greatly injuried in his attempt to save the village which is his true home. Considering Sasuke's goal when he was younger was to become a member of the Konoha police force, and he seems to have this insane protective streak, it seems to go well with his character that he would do this.

And while it defeats the purpose of Sakura and Naruto bringing him themselves, at least he comes back. But I doubt he'd be able to come to the decision himself. I'm positive there will be words exchanged between Sasuke and Sakura and Naruto as a whole, and they'll end up accepting that he doesn't want to go back yet.

And then when he hears of the attack on Konoha, he'll think of them and what they said and he'll end up going back to protect Konoha, but most specifically THEM, the people whom he deemed important enough to protect and set aside revenge for before.

This will be the setting place for SasuSaku and Team 7 reunion development.

And it all just falls into place after this.


Now, this is just ONE idea. I have many XDD Because there are so many directions Kishimoto can take the manga right now.

Sasuke won't outrightly say anything-- but I'm sure he might THINK IT. And we'll get to see the thought. It might not necessarily be "I love her", but it will be something that makes it OBVIOUS.

And I think the best way for it to become canon would be, either for Sasuke to ask Sakura if she still loves him/ her feelings have changed and have her either say no or just hold his hand and smile, and him return it-- or Uchiha babies. Becasue either way is irrefutable evidence XD
