It had been a while since Rokuta had left her company. It wasn't too strange since one like him couldn't spend all their time out by the ocean. He'd started to miss the sky too much. After all she could deal with a bit of lonelyness.
Even if she did have something to tell him. Sticking her nose into the water she snorted softly. It was his fault that she was putting on weight after all.
Hopefully he'd return in time for her to give him the news rather than surprise him with something. That would be far easier.

 He'd smelled the sea on the winds from his 'home' it stirred it reminded him of her... twin ache in him to be in the sky and to see her... He took to flight with a clatter of bones and the rush of feathers... --- She might see his shadow fall over the dunes in a sort of dance as he wheeled downward the ringing of his bells with each stroke of his wings... "It's been too long Mano" he called tossing his head in greeting and bowed...

She noticed a shadow coming across the sand and smiled. No one else would look and sound like that from the sky. Turning in the waves she trotted out up on the shore as he landed.
"Rokuta .... i was just starting to think that you'd decided sand was too much trouble." She laughed softly as she teased him. "I do have something to tell you though" She wondered idly if he'd notice that she'd grown a little rounder before she spoke agian.

His head tipped a little curious at her rouder figure...was it worth her anger to guess =wrong= and find out she'd just found a partiularily lussious patch of grass?
Dare he...
"Never too much trouble when the company is so delightful... I confess I fear insult... if I guess at what you might say though.." He marveled.

"If you call me fat i will kick you." She grinned at him as she trotted up the dunes and out of the last of the surf. She stopped and rubbed her nose against her shoulder to get some of the salt off before it dried there.
"I'm afraid it's a little more complicated than that."

He leaned forward and carefully lipped off some of the salt himself as a sort of flirty tease.. "Mmm... and you taste as good as ever too..." He said with a twinkle in his eye
"I'd prefer not to be kicked... may...I queey after the complication?"

She nudged him with her nose as he leaned close. "Have you ever considered having a family? One of your very own?" It almost didn't surprise her that he hadn't said it. He seemed the sort to not want to offend anyone ever by saying something wrong.
At least that meant that she got to tease it out of him instead.

"If the filly was one I cared a great deal for...Though... were I planning one I think I'd do my best to ask if SHE were interested...though...I have the sneeking suspision...if it will not I hope earn me a kick... that this may be something of a rehtorical question?"

"You're not as stupid as your gender would lead me to believe." She nudged his shoulder again softly. "And yes. As whether you would want one or not you're going to have a family."
He could technically fly off and never come back and not deal with all that but she doubted he would be the sort. He'd been far too nice so far for him to do something so horrible.

"Then I'm delighted its with you... I'll have to find a closer outcropping..." He nuzzeled her shoulder and moved to run one of his wings over her back...
"I confess...I should have thought to ask you if you were concerned about that when we....well..." He nickered pleased at the memory...
"I should ponder... if we'll be teaching the foal to fly or to swim...." He teased.

She snuggled closer to his side. "I was not worried. Things happen for a reason so were it to happen, as it have, then t was meant to." She nodded before resting her head against his neck.
"Perhaps a bit of both? Who knows we could end up with a seagull for a little one." It would be rather cute to see a smaller version of them splashing around in the waves.

"I wish I could give you wings as well... but...if you'd be content with a happy family?... perhaps I should look for a home...that would fit both of us....sea and air meeting...some beach side cave...yet safe from the tides...if we could be so lucky..."

"There is a cove not far from here that i have not explored completely yet. Though i do know that even the highest waves do not reach the rocks." There could possibly be a cave back there that he would enjoy and beach for her.
"It would probably be wise to explore before i get too round for it."

He was going to get bitten and he knew it... or nudged... or kicked... it was worth it... and he meant it... even if it DID sound a tease.

He was in fact going to get bitten and it didn't take long for her to n** his shoulder. "You don't have to be silly about it." She trotted away from him a bit and headed for the cove. It wasn't that far and at least if she was exercising she knew that she wasn't going to actually get fat.
