Tafasuri was out and about in the lovely afternoon sun, looking for something fun to do. He'd lost track of his siblings, having slept a little later than he might have liked, and part of him hoped he would be able to find them. They were the only ones he really played with, and he was quite the protective older brother. It wasn't too often that they all dispersed like this, and Taf hadn't seen a great deal of the pridal territory yet. He had enough interest in exploring to take a look around, but kept a sharp eye open for any familiar little cheetons.
"Hmm-mm-mhm," he hummed to himself as he trotted along. Unintentionally the cub had wandered farther from the central pride lands than might have been liked by his parents, but he was ignorant to it and quite content.

Ilori, as per usual, had grown tired of hanging around his parents, and though he hadn't gone all tha far from them, he still wandered the pride lands in search of... well, whatever he could find. He sought something different than the same thing. Plus, sometimes he remembered that his brother and sister lived in the Pride Lands with their families. He couldn't help but wonder what they were up too...
...but then he saw something interesting. A pink and white fuzz ball not all that far from him. The little cub's interest peaked, and he moved quickly in that direction, wondering who he would come across.

(( Gah! I'm sorry for not replying sooner XD Not used to checking this subforum and it slipped my mind. ))
Tafasuri continued his hum-and-trot for a moment entirely unaware that he was jogging directly towards a stranger. When he finally snapped back to attention, he wasn't that far away from the strange cub- which was probably what got his attention back in the first place. His immediate reaction was to stop his walking and humming, and try to see how friendly the stranger seemed. He may not have met anyone mean, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware that somtimes others didn't want to play.
He looked friendly enough, and interesting- the stranger did not look much like Tafasuri or any of his siblings.
"Hello!" he called stepping closer.

((Lol, it's okay. I have exams this week anyway -_-' ))
Ilori noticed the other cub noticing him, and then he sat down and waved, "Yooooo!" he called playfully, smiling and tilting his head to the side. The other cub looked nice enough, and he was pink! No way someone pink could be evil. Though how exactly he came to that conclusion, he wasn't sure.
He just didn't believe that another cub his age could be evil, or want to hurt him. Maybe trick him, or be snarky... but again, he was so... so... pink! No, not evil. No chance.

The pink cheeton took a moment to look over the strange cub before him. The little lion was not any colors he'd really seen in his family, not counting the white- he himself had that. Not to mention the stranger didn't look much like Tafasuri or any of his siblings, and with no experience with lion cubs he wasn't sure what it meant.
"Who're you? I'm Tafasuri," he introduced himself with a proud grin.

"Me?" Ilori pointed at himself and then grinned, "I'm Ilori. Lori, if you want, I don't mind that either. Very nice to meet you Tafasuri. But I can't say that I've ever met anyone who looks quite like you... are you a lion?" Ilori didn't think so, but he figured it was probably best to ask before he went off making assumptions.
Besides, the other cub was PINK, which was, in a sense, completely blowing Ilori's mind as he looked at the other cub. He had never seen anything like him in his entire life.

"Lori?" Tafasuri repeated after the lion cub, smiling, "It's nice to meet you, Lori." He nodded brightly to emphasize his point, and then looked a little confused when Ilori pointed out that he'd never seen anyone that looks like him. Guess they were both a little curious about the other!
"Yeah, I'm a lion!" he said prouldly, holding his head high, "Well, my mother's not though. I've never seen anything like you either, what are you?"

"Me? I'm a lion too," Ilori smiled, "But... both my parents are lions, not just one of them." He pointed out, sitting down and looking very pleased, rolling onto his back, looking up at the other cub, "Hehe... you look cool from upside down Tafa. Why do you live out here like this? Are your parents around? Mine are..." He waved in the direction of his likely sleeping family, "over there somewhere."
He did want to know why Tafsuri was out there, after all Ilori barely understood what a pride was. He only knew that his older siblings were a part of one.

"My mother's a cheetah, and she's like the only one around here I think," he explained with a sage nod. Tafasuri wasn't entirely sure on the pride thing, either, though from what he'd been told it was mostly lions around in it. Thus, it made sense to assume that his mother was one of few, or the only, cheetah around here. He supposed that Ilori's parents both being lions is why he looked different than his siblings. When Lori rolled over and commented on him being upside down, Taf chuckled.
"I bet I look funny upside down," he commented, tilting his head and trying to turn it as far as he could. No, he couldn't get upside down like Lori without mimicing him, "I'm in the Pride that lives here, my mom and dad are back the other way." Taf nodded back in the direction he'd come from, then looked off where Ilori had indicated his family was, "What Pride is that way?"

"No pride," Ilori smiled, batting at a small dragonfly that flew above his head, "My parents and I, and my brother are all rouges. That means we wander around all over, and never stay in one spot too long. It's a ton of fun! I get to see new places all the time, ever since my brother and I could walk around and see stuff. It's awsome... I think Prides just stay in one spot don't they? That's what my older brother and sister do. They're in... the pridelands or something like that. I dunno."
Which was true. Ilori, having never met his brother and sister or spent time in the pridelands, didn't know a single thing about them. Except that there were a lot of lions there who always stayed in one place. That about summed up Ilori's little knowledge. It seemed wierd to him that anyone would want to stay in the same place! He wanted to wander!

"Rogues?" Taf repeated, sounding just as if it was a new word to him- and it was. His parents never really had spoken a great deal of their time as rogues, so it sounded strange to him. He listened carefully to the description that Ilori gave of being a rogue, looking quite intrigued by the whole idea. Prides did stay in one place, travelling around constantly sounded hard but somewhat interesting.
Of course, Tafasuri didn't even know all of the pridal territory yet.
"Yeah, my family stays here," he nodded, and looked around, "Well, not right here but around here. I don't think we really go far, I don't know what land is part of the pride.."

"Yeah, I think that my brother and sister do that too. Just move a little, but mostly stay in the same place. Way, way, way too boring for me," Ilori laughed, rolling back over onto his front, smiling brightly, "You don't seem too boring though, Tafa. Are your parents pink too? I've only ever seen black and orange lions like me... are all cheetas pink?"
He honestly wanted to know. It was so wierd! He loved it! Anything new was bound to turn out to be fun eventually.

Having never travelled before, and not even having had a great chance to explore the land he was in, Tafasuri did not find pride life to be boring in any respect. He wasn't fond of Ilori declaring it to be boring, either, especially since he'd said he'd never done it himself. Hypocritcally, he didn't think travelling would be vastly exciting either- it might be less boring, but you'd never get a chance to get bored (or to enjoy where you are) if you kept moving. Of course, he'd never say anything.
At least Ilori didn't think he was boring.
"My dad isn't pink, he's kind of red and orange," Taf explained carefully, trying to think of a good example and remembering his own tail, "He has this color on him." He swished his tail forward and put a paw on it to keep it still, showing off the tuft on the end of it.
"My mom is pink, I don't know if all cheetahs are though," he mumbled, tilting his head, "Not all lions are one color, right? So they can't all be pink."

"That's true," Ilori nodded furiously, "My mom is orange and my dad is black. I'm... both, and my brother is black too, so I guess cheetas wouldn't be all the same color either, so that's cool!" He smiled brightly, "I've just never seen one before, so I didn't know what color they would be. I bet that there are probably pink lions out there too."
He jumped up again, shaking himself out, "This is so cool. I've never met another cub outside my family before, or a cheeton! Who knew, eh?" He chuckled and sat down, "This place is really pretty though. I should show my brother before we go."

Tafasuri nodded proudly as Ilori listed off the colors in his family, proving the point that the pink cheeton had made. When Ilori mentioned that there were probably pink lions, the little hybrid puffed up, "I'm a pink lion. Kind of.." Taf looked at his paws, and at the tail held underneath it. He knew he wasn't technically a lion, and that if he looked anything like Mhuni and Najisi that he didn't really look it either- but he was in a lion pride, and he was part lion. He shrugged.
The cheeton grinned, releasing his tail, noddin his agreement at never having met a cub outside of the family- and started at actually being called a cheeton. It was something he'd joked about before, but hadn't really expected to hear it elsewhere.
"When are you going?" he asked curiously when Ilori commented on bringing his brother here before they left. How much time did they have to stay around here?
