Although Leran was old enough to drive, he hadn't actually gotten around to getting his license. It was one of those boring things that always ended up on the back burner of the boy's mind. He was far too interested in four-wheeling and watching people on buses to get his license.
You could be sure though that he was working on that little detail now though. Because, you see, having a job was something of an embarressment, especially THIS one.... And, despite the fact that he was usually greatly annoyed with his family, he loved them to death. He didn't want them voo-doo cursed.
Kalandra knew all of that. As a matter of fact, that was why when she was the one to pick Leran up when he needed a ride (like today when it was pouring rain) she made extra-sure to find a way to embarress him further, or keep her eyes peeled to find something else to make Leran worry more about. Watching her usually so-macho brother fidget was her new favorite past time.
But she'd arrived early today, a bit depressed, and not exactly in the teasing mood. When Kalandra was a little depressed, she naturally took to her favorite past time... Shopping... And Kalandra was an avid collector of various, interesting things. That had been one of the excuses Leran'd had for visiting Divinations in the first place, after all... Today it was Bellus Puppa that caught her eye.
Kalandra wandered into the shop, looking around to get a feel for the atmosphere.
OOC: I can probably make this almost a me-only thing, though I put it up for grabs if anyone wants to interact with her. ^_^

For some odd reason, today Eicca decided to actually stay at the shop, for he usually avoided any place people gathered. Of course very few people actually came into Bellus Pupa, especially not all at once, and it was this that fact that made him decide there was no harm in actually watching Aki work today. When Kalandra has walked in, he was leaning over the counter, arms hanging over the side, with his doll sitting against the cash register. Aki was beside him, behind said cash register and in front of the door to the back room.
Sighing, Eicca straightened himself up into a respectable position, removing his doll from the counter and leaning against the back wall. Without turning to face Aki, he mumbled to her, almost too garbled to be understandable, “Don’t forget to smile.” She was, of course, already smiling. It would have been nice if the two could have met in the middle, for Eicca was forever emotionless, or if not that, frowning, and Aki was just too happy for her own good.
It seemed he was unwiling to talk, but Aki was more than happy, “Welcome,” came her overly happy tone, “Welcome to Bellus Pupa.”

Kalandra found herself immediately smiling back at Aki, warm and open to the other personality, "What a day! Can you believe this rain?" She greeted, "A perfect shopping day. I don't believe I've been in this shop before. It's very nice." She glanced around at the dolls again, "Would this be a collector's store of some type? Do you carry any uncommon dolls?" Kalandra liked to boast of her collector's items, and a day like today was a perfect one to make an addition or five!

“Thank you,” Aki beamed back at the compliment on the shop, as if it was completely directed at her. The questions seemed to floor her, and she could not think of a reply, only muttering some ‘ers’ and ‘uhs’.
“Most of the dolls are made specifically for this shop,” Eicca quickly explained, as always talking into the hair of his own doll. “By the owner, even.” He kicked himself off the wall with one foot, slowly making his way around the counter so that he was leaning beside it. This was probably so that he could successfully watch Kalandra while she shopped, and at the same time she could see him. To be heard, it was always better to also be seen. “Aki, where are the newer dolls? We were quite proud of some of those…”
“Over there, sir.” Almost mechanically she pointed off to the right side of the store. Of course this meant she was pointing to Kalandra’s left, and this fact would probably only confuse someone like her and Hansi. The overly peppy shopkeeper seemed to be enjoying her work way too much. Unlike Eicca, she liked it when people came into the shop. She liked having people around, and it just made her even more cheerful.

"Special made, really?" Kalandra didn't exactly exclude Aki, but she turned her attention to Eicca, "That's quite hobby! I'm impressed, the quality of these dolls seems fantastic."
Always one keen on listening to others, Kalandra went to take a look at the displays on the side Aki pointed, "The owner wouldn't happen to give classes, would she... or he? I'm sure I know that I, among others, would just love to know how to really make such fantastic work."
She liked some of the dolls she saw, but Kalandra was one of those long time shoppers, and she would be sure to see everything at least once... maybe several times... before making any sort of true judgment or decision on anything. That was likely very obvious right away as she felt the dolls' clothing for quality, gently tugging sometimes at both clothing and hair, and carefully examining those dolls that she held some true interest in.

“He has people problems,” Aki stated bluntly, smile just as wide and glowing as before.
The statement actually managed to get a small grin from Eicca, but one would barely notice with his face in the doll’s hair. It was probably for the best, though, since his smile was somewhat awkward, for if practice made perfect, he had very little practice. “You should watch how you word things, or someone might take it the wrong way.”
“I just repeated what Mr. Sascha said.” It was more of a report than an excuse. Her expression did not change, and her voice remained the same, merry tone.
“Then I need to talk to him about that…” He was still smiling but less so now that he got his emotions under control. He was still closely watching Kalandra, possibly just because he was nosy, but he seemed more focused on how she treated the dolls. After all, he cared about dolls more than he did humans, and they interested him far more, what with their lack of problems and feelings. “But she is right. He prefers being alone.”

Kalandra tsk'd at those statements, "Such a pity, to hide oneself from the world like that. But, then, many people with skill tend to do that."
She kept looking, thinking over those statements. What they said made sense, in a way, and it explained some things that previous answers had made her question. She was almost even satisfied with the answers, but she knew when she got home she would be researching these so called one of a kind eccentric made dolls.
It took her a few moments, but she finally peeked back at the others, "Mr. Sascha?" She repeated Aki's pronunciation, "Would that be the same keeper in the shop next door. Divinations?" Hmm, interesting, "Are you close friends then?"
If Eicca wasn't nosy, then neither was Kalandra.

“Sascha is Eicca’s teacher.” Once again it was a blunt statement, void of any emotion except happiness. Of course, the amount of glee in her voice made up for the lack of any other emotion.
It did somewhat weird Eicca out when she got this happy. He made a mental note to avoid her when customers were around. “You like announcing things, don’t you?”
“Hansi said it.”
At least she didn’t use the cutesy voice probably attached to the statement when Hansi spoke it. It probably also had a ‘my’ place right before ‘Sascha’ and was followed by some random gabbles about him or his new microwave-printer-scanner invention. “Of course. It’s always him.” He shook his head once, ruffling the dolls hair as he did so. “Yes, that is him, and he is somewhat of a teacher...”

"I imagine Mr. Sascha makes a fantastic teacher," Kalandra spoke earnestly, though her mind clicked quickly through to try to remember everything...well, the useful things...Leran had mentioned about the also oddly eccentric shopkeeper.
As a matter of fact, she thought, this street seemed to be an absolute festival of the oddly eccentric.
"My brother works over with him," she went on to explain, "He's quite the nuisance, but since he's been over there I've been rather surprised by his behavior." If not always how she was implying here, "I think the shop and job and the people are doing a world of good for him." And the parts that weren't necessary beneficial was a really, really entertaining stage he was going through. For her and Aurora anyway.
"What does Mr. Sascha instruct you in?"
Although she managed to keep eye contact....well, as she could anyway... with Eicca much of the time she spoke, Kalandra always kept her interest on the dolls, silently categorizing and rating them, sometimes wandering a few steps with one before wandering back and putting it down to wander around with another that had caught her eye. She would never, ever admit it, but along with her obvious pickiness for quality and originality, she had her own silent games she played that helped her to decide. She just hoped there was enough time to play them out before it was time to go.

“Oh. Him,” Eicca muttered, glancing upwards toward her. He was debating on whether eye contact was better or worse than nothing at all. It freaked him out to some extent, but he thought Aki’s stare was much more frightening. It was always weird talking to her, for she would not look towards the speaker, and even if she did, it still felt like she was looking past you… Even now she was speaking without turning her head, keeping her eyes looking right out in front of her. “Sasha seems to like having him there…” So that was kind of true. Eicca could not answer the question immediately, looking down at his doll, as if the answer was hidden somewhere on her face. Unfortunately, he did not find it. Stupid magic marker. “Whatever he wants. He’s random in his lessons. He says he teaches whatever I need.”

'I'm glad he's doing well," Kalandra smiled to Aki.
Kalandra gave Eicca a puzzled look a moment, but looked down and concentrated on her own searching. It sounded like Sasha was a type of father figure to him then. Which was strange, but also made sense with every foolish conclusion Leran had come to... And Leran was one to jump to conclusions then overreact about them, but he didn't usually jump to completely unfounded ones. Whatever. It didn't really matter, and Kalandra didn't think about it very long.
She was too busy trying to figure out which of the half dozen dolls that she'd sort of picked out she liked best. This one had pretty eyes, but that one looked more real, but that one might have been played with before, and that one seemed so normal but she liked it, and that--- The list went on and on, and she again started to tick off reasons for and against getting them.
It took some time, but Kalandra finally had her decision down to one doll --- and the decision between the last three was mainly off the cuff because she needed to leave soon. She had a brother that would wail all night if she was late in picking him up.
OH. Right! Brother... And these dolls he not only hated but was all supersticious about... Better than just shopping to shop was shopping to be a nuisance. Even though she'd already started to the check out counter, Kalandra spun around to look at the dolls again. By now she pretty much knew what was in the shop, and she made a quick decision on a doll she hadn't even chosen to begin with. This was one that didn't particularly fit her own tastes, but she knew Aurora would like (she figured that's where the doll would end up)... Besides, he looked kind of cute near the doll she'd chosen.
She turned back around and put the dolls on the counter with a smile, "Can't leave my siblings out of it," she explained.
OOC: Plenty of talk time there, if you want to edge Eicca or Aki comments in her search... I figured that since she's on a time scale I'd push it up.

The idea that Sasha was like a father figure to Eicca was probably accurate, in a strange sort of way. Eicca was not a normal sort of boy, as anyone could tell you, so what type of father would he have? This made the relationship between Sasha and Eicca odd, for they both had the tendency to scold each other, and usually these verbal punishments turned to mocking. Of course this was a light-hearted mocking because they never could stay angry at each other, laced with some black humor, but that was their type of humor, and they enjoyed these games. In other words, Sasha makes a terrible father figure, except when it came to his teachings, and even then it was questionable.
Unable to think of anything to say to Kalandra, Eicca squirmed a bit. The silence was even more bothersome than talking, for it left him to his thoughts, which made him even more nervous. He tried to entertain himself by watching Kalandra, but that didn’t work. Instead, he tried talking to Aki. “I thought we took that doll off the shelves…?” he whispered, motioning to a doll Kalandra passed.
“No, we only planned on it. It was decided it would be a waste to do so.”
“Oh. Okay. That’s fine, then.”
By the time Kalandra made her way to the counter, Eicca had squirmed his way back toward the wall, where he was still watching intently. He did not smile back at her, but he attempted to give a happy look, or at least as happy as a look one can give without even a slight smirk. At least he looked more content than upset, and this was his main goal, anyways.
”Oh, I see.” Aki, on the other hand, gave Kalandra a glowing smile right back as she rang up the dolls, even keeping the smile as she dug under the counter for two boxes. As she began to carefully put the dolls away, she informed Kalandra of the price, just incase she didn’t notice it on the screen.

Kalandra looked at the price and nodded and pulled out her checkbook, glancing just momentarily at Aki to see if she would protest, and then starting to write a check, and again looking around to make sure she had the spelling of the shop written correctly.
"What an unusual name! How did you come up with it?" It was like she'd noticed it for the first time, which was probably true enough. Dolls were far more interesting than things like names.
It may have only been a polite question, as Kalandra was busy writing the check and then handing it over, along with a card to a tearoom with her own name and number scribbled on the back. She smiled and shrugged a little when it was taken, "I don't know if either of you like that sort of thing--but it might be fun to get together some time."
Why not? Leran would have FITS if she befriended people he would rather not have known existed. Maybe not them, but she and Leran both had already found connections between the shops, and she knew he felt the same about the both of them.

“Random Latin,” Aki quickly replied after the first question, just as honest as always.
And just as always, her reply made Eicca wince, embarrassed at how straightforward the cashier was. “That’s not exactly true… I bet Hansi told you that.” He sighed, shaking his head a few times before burying his face in his doll’s hair. “Sasha really needs to rub some of his power with words off on you…” In the end, Kalandra got no answer to this question, but if Eicca had his way, that was probably how he wanted it to begin with.
And then came the second statement and the second blatantly truthful answer. “We would like that.” And of course this was her reply, for the customer was always right.
But of course it embarrassed Eicca, who brought his head up so he could let his jaw drop open as he thought of something to say. It would have been nice if Aki had asked him before answering, but then again, she always knew what he liked and would answer accordingly. He might as well go along with it. It’s not like he wanted to make a bad impression, any how. “Sure…”

Kalandra only listened as Aki and Eicca exchanged words...or, rather, Eicca exchanged words with Aki. She kept on her polite face up until Aki accepted her request, at which point she beamed.
"Oh, that's fantastic! We'll have a lot of fun," she nodded to Eicca though she spoke to Aki, so as to include them both, "Is there a time good for you? I can come pick you up, or we can meet there. It's a lovely place, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." Kalandra spoke like a warm teapot over bubbling, apparently sincere, friendly, and very girly about the whole thing.
