when i canvas paint- just random simple things like, right now im working on a heart disgn with a black scar down the center, surrounded by vines with leaves and thorns, with a black background, ive gottwen as far as the heart with the scar, and a vine with leaves. i like doing stained glass designs too, like painting the different sections with similar colors but not all the same. i dont really try to paint using real objects in front of me.
I like to sketch some original anime/manga characters in regular pencil.
ill sketch still life with colored pencil.
i dont use pencil by number, ink, marker, or that cheap paint you can buy anywhere, you know?
when i draw or paint, its mostly for stress relief so its usually something abit more depressing(mostly when i paint) its just my style. when i sketch characters, i only draw guys, usually punks or what look like punks.
i wanna know how you express you art (canvas and oil paints/ pencil/ marker/ ect.) and what you like to draw (people, animels, random characters, patterns, ect.)

Due to a complete lack of funds, I usually end up with a couple pencils, the back of an old assignment, and my good inking pen.
If I could, I would love to get back into painting again. That was fun as hell. As much as I love clay and sculpture and metals, I need more practice with them-- I somewhat suck right now. xD
My comic is a massive, sprawling work, for one. My characters are the way I like them, and now they're actually their own people. It's grown out of control, and I love it.
I do a bunch of portraits, but I am more cartoonist than purely artist, so my art style isn't exactly realism.
A little of my poetry is hosted at fictionpress.com under this same screenname. Note the dates they are published-- the old ones are perhaps not as good as the new material.

I doodle, most of the time.
If I'm in "the mood" to draw, I draw fairly well people.
I draw comics and some realistic art, and still-lifes.
But I draw the "cartooney" style of comics.
Not the crap Chibi kind.

When I draw, I colour my art with coloured pencils or watercolours. I enjoy drawining girls that are happy, strong-willed and in love. I like drawing girls that are in love or have an eye or someone. My style is very girly. People say my style is like the one in the Sailor Moon manga.

Fagosaurus Rex: yeah, i usually doodle too, im not too into chibi either, i actually find it harder...
Taormina: i wish i could draw girls! i want to draw couples but i really cant draw girls! but i used to be very into sailor moon, so thats cool!

I usually draw on the computer or sketch with pencil. I'm trying to get into realism, but anime keeps sucking me back. I don't even really like anime, but I just happen to be a lot better at it. gonk With realism I have to have references and the anatomy has to be close to perfect; with anime, I can just doodle as I please. But realism looks tons better. D<

I usually draw animals or girls. (because i can't draw boys) When I draw animals I usually use a model of some kind, but when i draw girls, it's straight from my head, they usually look a little bit like anime stye, but there eyes are different...

I don't believe I have a style xDD~.
I like drawing funny looking people because it cheers me up. :3
Mostly I use mechanical pencil on my Latin or math work, but I do have a couple of sketchbooks and some paint.

Defiantely not anime or anime influenced. (I like anime, but hate drawing it).

I like to draw anime, but I totally suck at it. The heads are always to big, the eyes are uneven, the clothes always look bad, and I cant draw hands even if my life depended on it.

Basically, when I paint, I'm painting the sky. Like... outer-space type sky. Usually from Hubble Space Telescope pictures. I dunno. I guess I just really, really like space? And yet, I have no aspirations to be an astronaut... astronomer, now that's a maybe.
When I draw, it's usually with just my pencil and a ballpoint pen. I spend my money on paint supplies, not drawing supplies. My style's... well, my friends call it 'unique.' I have a running manga that they'll occasionally read, so they do have opportunities to see it. I guess it's somewhere between anime and realism. Proportions and things like that stay realistic. Really, it's only the simplified facial shape and features and the fact that it's only a line drawing with minimal shading that separates my manga drawings from realism.

You and I are in the same boat. The second I cross into drawing a Japanese-style picture, my Draw Good button breaks. xD
