Preparing to Set Sail! - A set up Rp!

The ship it still in Dock, by the court of the Goblin King!

Captain Aurelius plans to sail with the morning tide at first light, so of course preperations must be made!

The Captain himself has ordered things to be prepared and has stepped ashore, but he may be back at any moment to announce that things are in readyness to sail! And when he does things will happen!

Bascially, this is a good place for you all to rp and get the feel of your characters before we move over to the main thread and set sail for gold! Jewels and adventure! <3

Feel free to rp here until all the set up is complete! This may take Avy Sho and Chai a little while, so bear with us loves! Make the most of this thread in the meantime to get your character onto the ship, or if you're a pirate just to mill areound and have a chat while you work!

Have fun!

Zaelia stretched her wings out, perched for now, quite harmlessly in the crows nest surverying, as was her way, the activities on the ship below her. Her beady eyes missed nothing, saw all, and that was one of the reasons she was the bane of the crews existance..
Bayne... She liked that man.

A familiar shadow cast to the ground made Daimen look up from where he stood, right next to the tiller as was only natural to him. Though there was no sailing to be done at the moment, the pilot's hand rested lightly on the tiller. Indeed he looked so right there that it almost made him seem as though he wouldn't fit anywhere else but right there with the tiller.

It wasn't so much the shape of the bird as the bright pink that accompanied it that made the lanky young pirate immediately realize that it was Zaelia. He watched the bird for a moment, then turned his gaze elsewhere. If the bird was up there, she couldn't be down here messing with his tiller. And that was good enough for him.

Raguel walked along the deck inspecting her fittness. He never stopped working it seemed. After all, he had no distractions to fill his mind. He checked ropes, keeping a mental check of who was the sailor who had tied the ropes. He nodded to the pilot and also glanced up at the pink bird with his good eye.

Ayudar stood near the helm, watching the ship, waiting for direct orders from the Captain. He was calm, and smiling slightly, his long hair being lightly blown by a gentle breeze as he watches the men, and kept a single eye above on Zaelia, not at all in the mood to deal with the bird.

A small sigh escaped a pair of pale lips, as the ships resident medic set his gaze upon the villainous bird known as Zaelia. It was time for the bird’s yearly check up, and whilst this would have been no problem for the capable young surgeon had it been any other bird, Zaelia wasn’t any other bird. The creature seemed to have a very long sadistic streak to it, as it seemed to pride itself on the chaos that it brought to their normally calm crew.

A second sigh escaped his lips as he began the trek towards the current perch of the vile creature. The sooner he completed this task, the sooner he could get on with the rest of his life, which at the moment, was Ito Keita’s main priority. He had no qualms with the bird so far as interactions went, seeing as how most of his time was spent below deck caring for any wounded crew members where as the female flamingo could usually be found perched in her small nest that she made for herself in the crows nest. It was the fact that she was one of the main reasons for the various wounds inflicted upon the crew that left him wishing he could tie the creature to a block of cement and chuck it into the ocean to drown.

A third sigh, as the blond elf found himself directly below the crows nest, his stomach twisting in tiny knots at the notion of climbing all the way up there. He had never been one for heights, preferring the land or sea where the risk of falling to your death was not an option. Fingering the small medical pouch tied to his side, Keita went over a mental checklist of all the items that should be inside, feeling them out through the thin leather container, before finally calling out to the creature above. “Zaelia! It is time for your check up!” His voice had never been very load, so it took a great deal of effort for the surgeon to shout at a voice that could be heard from so far away as the crows nest, which was located quite a bit above him.

Raguel watched as the lovely young surgeon gazed up the pink horror. He wondered briefly what the blonde was up too. He let his gaze drift over the man's body before he heard him call out that it was time for the damn bird's check up.

Oh neptune, he didn't see this having a good outcome. The Bo'Sun walked over and stood near Keita. He leaned against a barrel and kept his eye on the bird.

"Need any help, Keita?"

Jonik had spent most of the morning below deck, checking the dwindling remains of their last money making venture and the supplies of food and rations. They had enough food, fresh water, ale and rum to last them at least a month. So there were no problems there. As for money, the bounty hunters trying to catch them were probably richer than they were, but financial matters were the captain's final decision so hopefully they might actually get down to some proper pirating soon.
He climbed above deck, rather clumsily thanks to all the ordered books under his arm, only to be faced with the doctor yelling up at the crows nest. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was going to happen.

Macy was in a rather grumpy mood today, he had taken his things back onto Caspian's ship and deposited them in the Captain's Cabin. He had wanted to go and find the Captain or walk around the deck again when he had a bout of back pain and had forced himself to lie in bed all day, he was grumpy and uncomfortable.

Of coarse, no one could say the Unigon was fit to stay quietly in one place unless he was asleep or very very upset. So he had forced himself up and onto the deck, watching with amusement as the surgeon tried to coax Zaelia down from her perch.

((Yea, no, sorry about that. xD My brain doesn't always function properly when I wake up at 5:30. Which incidentally, I did, thanks to somebody having fiddled around with my alarm clock... I didn't even realize until 20 minutes after I woke up when I suddenly saw that the short hand of the clock pointed past 5 and not 6... >.>))

Keita jumped up nearly four feet into the air at the others unsuspected question, startled due to the fact that he had been so caught up in his own thoughts to notice the Bo’ Sun’s approach. Whilst normally Keita was very perceptive of such things, the current matter of climbing to the flamingos perch had his mind not where it should be. After all, the very notion of climbing up there scared him to the point that he was petrified with fear. Internally of course, he would never show such a weakness in front of his fellow crew members.

It did not take him very long to calm down, the blond turning to face the larger more muscular man. For a moment Keita was tempted to lecture the man for coming up behind him and startling him like he had, but he realized that this wasn’t truly the other’s fault, and stopped before the words escaped his mouth, instead replacing them with a simple sigh.

The notion of having someone else climb up to the crows nest to retrieve the feathered fiend sounded quite appealing to the blond haired surgeon, as not only would it allow him the reassurance of remaining on the boats solid floor, but also, due to the others more agile reflexes, bode less a chance of someone becoming injured.

“Well…. If it would not be to much to ask…. I really do need Zaelia to come down…” He hoped that the other would understand what exactly he was requesting, as Keita didn’t exactly have the courage to state such a request in an exact manner.

"Food or insults usually work. Unless you want someone to attempt to get to that nest."

Raguel's pale blue eye gazed into the surgeon's own sky blue eyes before looking up at the bird. Depsite his normally gruff personality, he had a gentle look in his eye. He didn't really know if he could attempt to rouse the pink devil from her perch, being half blind and all it left him wide open for attack and the bird knew it.

"Maybe I can startle her or something less suicidal."

For a moment Keita weighed down the options. Insulting the bird would only lead to problems during the examination, something Keita did not want to risk, even if the patient was the terror known as Zaelia. Startling her would have a similar effect, most likely causing the female flamingo to lash out at them once she had finally regained her senses, which in turn could result in unnecessary damage to either the crew members or Zaelia herself. Bribing her down with food held the most promise, provided they had the required foods to do the job. After that it just came down to whether or not they could get her to hold still long enough to perform the examination.

“I think our safest option would be to lure her out with food, though I am not sure as to what our feathered friend likes to eat.” Keita admitted to the silver haired man, feeling slightly foolish in this fact. He was supposed to be a health specialist after all; he should know the diets of those he cared for, even if he only cared for them once a year, such as in Zaelia’s case. “If it is not much trouble, could you perhaps try and locate the captain? Seeing as how Zaelia is his bird, I am assuming that he should know what her favorite foods are.” He explained, trying to think of anything at all that could assist them. “I also believe I may have a book on tropical birds in my room, so if you cannot find the captain, we can probably find the desired information in that.”

For a moment the younger man thought he saw a hint of a compassion in the others eye, but shook the notion off, blaming it on the heat. “This is… assuming you still wish to help that is.” He trailed off shyly, flushing slightly in embarrassment of the fact that he had actually started boss the other around to some extent. Something he never would do under normal circumstances, save for when he was working. Keita took his job very seriously after all.

Raguel just watched the surgeon think. He admired the way his forehead wrinkled a bit as he discussed his options in his mind. He watched as the sky blue eyes glazed over in deep thought. His eyes trailed over the long blonde hair as a few strands blew about in the sea breeze. Yes, the man was beautiful, and that always made a long voyage easier to bare. Once Keita had spoken, he couldn't help but smirk a little bit as the other blushed. Normally he wasn't one to take orders from anyone other than the Captain or the First Mate, but he was feeling rather......generous today. Why? That was his own business.

"Well I know she likes worms, but I think I have a better solution. One that will even get her to sit still. Hang on a second."

The dark skinned man walked off and disappeared below deck. He came back out with a bottle of amber colored liquid and a bowl. He held up both items.

"Rum, bloody bird loves her a sip every now and then. Plus it will make her sit still. Hope you don't mind a drunk bird?"
