When: Afternoon, Tuesday 22 May 2007 ((for my reference: I'm playing that Zell kitsu showed up the day after Endless confessed his love for Lily, so that would be the 15th; even though I did not get his pic until the 24th. Figure the time between he has been at the house, meeting everyone and settling in & the 24th is when he leaves home to go have fun.))
Why: they're best friends! *razzes* they need to talk & share & stuff!!

The wind was cool that flipped through the glade where a magical cottage dwelt. Not much stirred at the sun slipped over its zenith to begin its afternoon trek. A kitsu with a shock of blonde hair, a tribal tattoo on the left of his face, blue flame patterns on his ears and tails, wearing a dark colored uniform that could be blue, gray, or black depending on the way the light struck it was training a combination of martial arts, gymnastics, and boxing to the left of the house -just past the flower garden there & in front of what the family called Remus' shack. Despite it being the warmest part of the day he did not seem to mind, displaying both ability & energy in what he did.

In the gardens a white cait with pink tips moved from the front beds with her rabbit familiar to inspect the vegetable garden to the right of the house. On the porch there was a soft pop sound and where a moment ago there had been nothing a crimson furred kitsusagi female appararated. She fanned her brown wings, their gold tips catching in the sunlight that could get around the porch awning, then adjusted her black bag across her shoulder and the mithril alchemist pendant around her neck before slipping her wand into the holster half hidden against the black interior of her left foreleg. Green eyes glanced around, falling on the training male and watching. Padding softly to the edge of the porch nearest him she lay er bag down, then hopped into the yard -following the moves he made with a keen interest.

There was something different about the way the female had moved, the way her body looked. It was subtle, something only those that knew her best or otherwise paid attention to such matters would see. There was a new tone to her muscles beneath her crimson fur. A new manner to the way she moved as if she was more aware of her body than before. More than that, there was brightness to her green eyes that was more alive than perhaps it had been before. She had more energy.

Any student of physical discipline would know -Liliana was getting in shape.

Catching on that his 'student' had joined him in his afternoon exercises Zell toned them down somewhat. The studious female was learning well, but she had only been at this a week and he did not want to overwork her. Especially considering her training had been started in part to relieve her stress -not add to it.

That also meant he did not let her continue too long before running her through cool down moves. When they stopped the male gave a loud "Booya!" Before bouncing around with his unlimited energy a bit & shadowboxing. He was doing that when he caught Edward's golden eyes with his blues and gave him a nod to show he knew the teen was there.

Then he was still, looking at Liliana with a serious 'instructor' expression. "That's enough for a second workout for you, Lily. Helped after lessons though, didn't it?" Gold tipped ears shook lightly as the female gave a small laugh. "Yes. Might I start having two everyday?"

The male laughed -a warm & cheerful sound. "Sure. Just not my pace yet, kay? Ginny'd hex me for sure in her state if I pushed ya too fast." White and gold tails flicked happily behind the female at his decision. Blue eyes darted towards the watching alchemist. "Why'n't you join us?" Zell called to Ed in a friendly way, swinging a paw in a wide arc for emphasis. Surprised, Liliana turned around, her green eyes alighting on her best friend with a bright smile. "Edward!" She called happily, spinning and bounding over to greet him. "How long have you been here?"

But Liliana had been in such emotional and mental turmoil this week that she needed more than sitting near her friend. Thinking over what Endless had told her, worrying about what Edward had shared... Liliana did not know what to do with the rollercoaster of uncertainty that was her insides. She flung her head over the alchemist's neck and hugged him fiercely, a shudder of relief going through her body to see him well & whole.

Grinning Zell clapped them both on the shoulders then hung casually back as he answered for her. "Oh, not quite a week now. Right, Lily? Day after I arrived, which was the day after you left." Liliana just nodded that he was correct, but Zell did not seem to be paying attention. His blue eyes looked thoughtful though his smile remained energetic and cheerful. Then somehow his grin broadened. "Seemed to need a physical outlet for all the thoughts in her head."

Giggling the crimson female pulled back sheepishly. "Sorry Edward... it's just so good to see you." Her emotions filled her green eyes, hiding nothing. Joy, worry, confusion & more. Zell just laughed. "Girl doesn't know her own strength!" A trace of pride in the 'teacher'.

Zell started happily shadowboxing, moving away from the two friends to continue his own training that he had shifted when Liliana had joined him. Of course already protective of the female he did keep a blue flamed ear aware of the tone of Lily's voice if not the words. More wasn't his place.

Uncertainty superseded all other emotions in her eyes at Ed's question and Liliana sighed heavily for her petite frame. "I... don't know. He... he said he loves me loves me." She pulled her forelegs to her, sitting upright. White gold tails and brown wings wrapped around her, nearly hiding most of her crimson fur as Lily sought the comfort of pulling them against her as she had often done as a kit & teen. Against her chest the mithril alchemy symbol Ed had made reflected a few shafts of light that poured down. "My feelings are all a-jumble, Edward. I don't know what to think or what it is I feel. I... asked for time to make sense of it all. But it's not making sense! How am I supposed to tell if I love him different than family, Edward?"

Liliana nodded, sucking her bottom lip into her mouth. That was something else she felt more and more as the days went by: guilt. She missed Endless... though in fear she had made certain to be gone when the scheduled time for his lessons rolled around, leaving them for Remus or Ginny to cover for now. She had spoken to Aunt Ginny once about it, but though the talk had made her feel a little better it had been no help in getting Liliana any closer to a conclusion. "I... don't want to keep him waiting. I really don't. But I want to be sure... and I'm just not! Since I've been looking at my feelings... Edward, I know there's none I care for as much as the two of you outside my family. But love love..." she ducked her head. "I'm not sure what to think. Maybe I need to see him again... see how these silly feelings of mine are."

Her green gaze was on her paws, hidden beneath her tails. "I don't want to be wrong..." the words fell softly.

Even though her own emotions were more than she was accustomed to dealing with Lily heard the odd note in her best friend's voice and her head snapped up as her green eyes quickly searched to meet his golden eyes. She would take his advice to heart, literally but first... "Edward...?"

Concern. Caring. Tenderness. "What's wrong?" What could have made him sad about what they were talking about?

Hemi might have been able to see through the fullmetal's false assurance and quick change of subject but his sister did not for a moment think to question her first friend, deciding that she had imagined what worried her or that it had to do with something else and was none of her business trusting that if Ed wanted to tell her than he would.

Then any thoughts she had on that were forcefully shoved to the back of her mind. "What? Atae was hurt in a fight?" She did not see Zell slow in his forms to glance with concern at the winged female for the tone of her raised voice. "But Alphonse coming... That's great!"

Worry for Atae was still in her green eyes but she managed to smile, the tips of her tails flicking a little in happiness for her friend. "And Winry? Winry... she's the one who makes your automail, right?"
