Okay, I suppose. Only a sizeable chunk of the ending could have done with staying in the book it was adapted from. TV's not really the place for grandstanding narration.
And if he trapped her in every mirror in the world how the hell does he only manage to visit her once a year? That whole sequence was dumb.

The whole "godlike Doctor" thing annoyed me. They're going to have to think up bucketloads of psuedo-science to explain how he trapped someone in every mirror in existence.

Well, I've finished watching it now, it was AWESOME! Some of the bits at the end was weird. If you locked someone in unbreakable chains they'd still die. If you threw someone in a black hole, they'd die. If you trapped someone in every mirror in exsistence - no, wait, that's imposible. The Baines one was the only sort of explainable one.

Yeah....Pirpi-Chan's got it right.
Poor fictional man. That scene dragged on a wee bit, I feel.
But still. Good! Baines was the scariest at some points, but the scary skipping girl topped him a few times. Something very sinister about skipping children.
The whole part at the end, about the punishments - anybody else reminded of the Christmas special? Seems like he's gotten more extreme since Rose. (Woo. Amateur pyschology.)

I thought it was very good again! I kinda prefered the first half, but that tends to happen with me and two-parters of most things. Over-all this two-parter has metaphorically kicked the whole rest of this series (SO FAR)'s a**, on many levels. It was a kind of feel-bad-for-everyone episode, basically, i felt. But good none the less.
sky seeker: yes it did remind me of the xmas special with the spider lady
Things I didnt like/understand:
I would have definately liked (and I hoped) to see the exact moment when the doctor kind of 'returned' as it were, I could only have imagined what he would say! So when I saw him on the ship, I was infact a little disapointed. If he had to rewrite his biology to become human, how come opening the watch would reverse all that? Like physically, would another heart just suddenly appear? This bit slighty bothered me in human nature, which I hoped they would have explained....but apparently didnt. How a group of scarecrows and a rather large man were able to move the TARDIS The start. that was once again another ridiculous kind of escape, kind of like the age of steel start.
O yes, and I admit I lol'd when I saw DT in prostectics

An excellent episode. Add it to the list of Tennant episodes that have made me cry!
I think, even more so than I did before, that this episode is David's greatest Doctor Who showcase of what an unbelievably talented actor he is. From the human vulnerability of John Smith, and his reaction to seeing what could be (and well done to the prosthetics team for the old age makeup on him!), to the cold anger and ruthlessness of the returned Doctor, we see an amazing difference. Well done David!
Freema was even better than usual as well, really fleshing out the character of Martha more than in other episodes. This was her strongest story yet, and showed the true courage that she has when having to deal with terrifying creatures without the Doctor by her side.
The Family, especially the little girl, were as spine chilling as their scarecrow acolytes, and the punishments meted out to them by the Doctor gave a feeling of poetic justice.
The anti war message was clear as well, showing how horrific it can be. The shots of the boys wiping tears from their eyes before the scarecrows attacked and were fired upon, for me, demonstrated the futility of violence and that these, although trained to kill, were just children.
Overall, amazingly well written and performed. Well done to all involved!
Favourite quote: (actually there's two [EDIT: erm, three] this week. I can't choose between them!)
Martha: God you're useless as a human!
Latimer: He's fire, and ice, and rage. Smith: Stop it! Latimer: He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and he can see the turn of the universe. Smith: Stop it! Latimer: And he's wonderful.
EDIT: Missed this one! Martha: Scared and holding a gun. Good combination. Wanna risk it?

Baines was the best at being creepy, the other's weren't so good. The creepy girl with the creepy balloon? Could have done it better.
In the courtyard sequence, my Dad was all like "Why are they bothering with the sandbags? They should just get the big machine gun and shoot the f*ckers!"
Aye, 'twas hilarious.
And Takuha, you've changed your tune razz
Also, they played more Muse on confidential, which is yay.
