뭐?! ENEMY?! Get with the times please. Too much pride=hate. I'm an American & I notice a lot of people in the states are just plain ignorant about Korea, but I've seen no spite unless you're talking north. As far as Japanese go, I went to school in Japan last year at the start of the Korea boom. 80% of my classmates were Korean; the old ways of hate are dying with the younger generation--I mean, I know there will always be prejudice but at least its dissipating. I never would have become interested in Korea if I hadn't gone to Japan. Met my first Korean friends there & got a little taste of the culture when I went out partying with them. My JAPANESE host mother taught me my first Korean words & gave me my first korean workbook--in Japanese. Guess what? I did some assistant teaching down in Ise--that's deep country in Japan--& met this cool guy Philip: Born in Korea, naturalized an American at like six, meets a girl from Japan, falls in love, disobeys his parents & goes to Japan to be married, becomes Japanese & learns Japanese from scratch then becomes an English teacher. When he first started living in Japan he was mad at how so much of the younger generation of Japan is ignorant to the attrocities their ancestors brought upon the Korean people. (his grandfather was caught in Japan back in the day not having this stupid id thing that says you're korean they tortured him (litterally) & locked him up in jail until they straightened the situation out--to this day his grandfather will not buy or use anything made in Japan because of it) But anyway, after living with the people, he realized it didn't matter if they were ignorant because there's no need for them to feel guilty for something in the past they had no part in. They're good, kind people. That's good enough. There's no sense in adopting old hates & rekindling them....나 소주 마시고 싶어요 rofl

bandi138138 there are two countries that I consider the ultimate enemy of our country. the US, and Japan. But who is worst? please express your opinion here. This so so stupid. What's wrong with you man!? US are our allies, they helped us out of the Korean War. If South Korea and North Korea started a war and US wasn't on our side, I really don't think we would win it. You shouldn't really consider Japan an "ultimate enemy". That crap is a bit old now. If I were you I would consider North Korea the ultimate enemy but you're so wierd that you consider another country an ultimate enemy, and one of them is an ally that has never fought against us before! By the way, maybe you should mention why you consider them the enemy, because I can't really see a reason to consider US our "ultimate enemy". You sound like you consider them our enemies for no reason. If you want to express your opinion, make it reasonable.

Although I don't hate any country in particular, I have a problem with Japan. Japan and it's textbooks and shrines, to be more accurate. Hearing of the Japanese worshipping the dead soldiers of World War II just pisses me off, because of what happened to Korea. Don't they feel any regret? And the textbooks. Why do they keep up with their version of history? History is facts, not opinions. Japan seems to be trying to brainwash all the children, I think.
I'm not anti-Japanese, I have two half-Korean / half-Japanese friends from elementary school. I know that most do regret taking part in World War. Or, at least, I hope most regret it.

Fine I wont say anything bad about any other countries, but I'll tell you Pro-Americans something. there have been many murders by the U.S. troops in south korea. Korea's Economy which WAS in the process of rebuilding itself from the IMF incident is being ruined again by Bush's war with Iraq, which makes nme wonder, "Why does he want OUR soldiers there getting killed?" The U.S. culture is taking our youth away from our culture and even sinking into the U.S culture so much that their Identity is unknown.
nothing personnal really. just food for thought. But all I'm saying is, these two countries are not really helping ^^+
OK, you may now all curse me out if you wish. ^^

I myself as a US citizen should be focusing on that, not feeling sorry for the past.

To me this is ridiculous. Even though it was a very hard, rough time back then..we people no matter what nationality need to stop dwelling in the past and continue living during the present time so a war like that or any kind will not happen again.
