Jessie was in certainly a better mood that the previous day, mainly because he had spent half of it wandering around the jungle. Hailey was at least now, acting normally around him, even with his extra limbs. (Though that was mainly because she too had her own problems with these odd growths).

He had decided to wander along the tree line down the beach for a while, he sort of knew his way around the immediate area surrounding the camp now, so he was confident enough to walk just a bit further away this time. Under the hot sun his tentacles where starting to dry up and ache.

“Urgghh”

Jessie needed to moisten them again before they started to shrivel or something. He headed off to the shore, and got into the sea up to his waist. He splashed more of the water of himself. He really wasn’t cut out for this kind of weather.

Ian really needed to stop getting himself lost.

The last time he stupidly wandered off, he had a seizure, and he swore to Alcine that he wouldn't. But no, he was never one to actually listen to what he was told to do, less it be his mother. He hadn't seen Alcine in awhile, in fact, he had pretty much been lost since yesterday afternoon. Well, he didn't consider himself lost. Ian was just expanding his 'knowledge' of the area. Even if he didn't even have the knowledge of how to get back to his camp.

Of course, he knew if he just got out of the jungle and got to the ocean, he could find camp pretty easily that way. So, he quickly tore his way through branches and vines, before finally his sore sneakers sunk into the warm sand of the beach.

But, much to his surprise, he wasn't alone.

Ian raised an eyebrow. So, Wesley wasn't lying about other people being there. He wasn't to fond of being social, but hey, being on an island without friends other than a girl who had the lamest sense of humor could only be so amusing.

"I think your ears are sunburned," Ian laughed, standing on the edge of the water as he starred out at the oddity. He'd yet notice any other deformities.

Jessie didn’t notice Ian has he approached, he was busy cooling himself off in with the sea water. He cupped water in his hands and dumped it on himself. God, that was better, a lot better. He gave out a sign of relief, and his tentacles wriggled with approval.

He spun around at the sound of a unfamiliar voice. After being in the camp with only six people, his ears knew this person was new. He defiantly had never seen this guy before, and he was laughing at his ears? But they weren’t sunburnt, looks like this guy hadn’t gotten the newsletter. Best fest up and tell the guy soon, he’d be seeing his tentacles soon.

“They’re not sunburnt” Jessie pouted at the stranger, he already didn’t seem to have a very good sense of humor if he was laughing at someone else’s sunburn, real or not.

"Is that so? If that's the case, then what on earth do you call that awful discoloration on them? They're rather red." Ian raised an eyebrow. He'd heard of someone being in denial of their appearance, but of a sunburn? Took about pathetic.

Ian flinched slightly in pain; his body had started aching since the moment he'd woken up this morning. Probally didn't help to much that he had slept on a tree branch, and fallen off though. But it wasn't just sore-bruised sort of pain, it felt more internal, than external. He sighed, the heat meagerly managing to make sweat stick to his forehead, compelling him to bend down and scoop up some water to splash into his face. But, upon doing this, he paused. The color of his hands didn't seem to match the rest of his dark, tanned skin. They seemed extremely pale, and white compared to the rest of him. That was odd. He must be imagining things.

“Yeah I know” Damn, how to explain this. How would anyone explain that he had grows that could move coming out of his stomach and back. “Erm…you see” No he couldn’t bring himself to say it, to put in the right words that could possible soften the blow of it. But that proved impossible, and Jessie only slipped into a string of mumbled words.

It’s just be best to show him. He walked back of the water, enough for the small waves to only lap against his thighs. The stranger would be perfectly able to see his grows. He gave him his signature weak smile and waving his fused and reddish fingers.

“You’d best not get closer, we think it’s contagious”

He could only wait to see the boys reaction to him, and them.

For Ian, words were better said before one presents actions.

"What the hell is that?" Ian murmured at first underneath his breathe as he starred upon the boy's....Tentacles? His eyes were wide with shock. But not only surprise, but fear swam about furiously within his dark grey pupils. He backed up several steps out of the water.

A slight, painful burn started in his ears, but he ignored it. He was far to busy with this.. kid's deformities. "What are you, some sort of mutant!?"

“There my…well, I’m not really sure actually” he looked down at them lifting the front two with his hands, in all honesty, Jessie had gotten disturbingly used to the sight and feel of them after almost two weeks. But he mainly looked down to avoid looking direct at the strangers.

“A lot of people have changed since they’ve been here, we think it’s some kind of virus or something.” He said still looking down before finally looking up at him. His ears where becoming pointed, like his own. Crap, he’d infected someone else.

Jessie seemed rather calm compared to how Ian was reacting. He didn't like abnormalities. Sure, he never wanted to be normal--but at the chance of this happening to him--no. Hell no. Being different was one thing. Being a freak was another.

Suddenly though, a painful biting pain stung at his fingers, and he quickly brought it near his face to see what it was--perhaps a crab had latched itself to his fingers, or something. But, instead of a crab, Ian felt his heart stop as he starred, instead, upon 4 finger, rather than 5. His eyes widened in horror, again as a similar sting bit at his other hand. He made a quick glance at Jessie, terror and anger building rapidly in his eyes, but they quickly returned to stare helplessly at his hands. Even worse this time: what seemed like webbing crept through his fingers. The surprise of it made him fall over his feet, and backwards onto the sand--this was just to weird. What the hell was going on?

When he at first had the minor idea that that was all that was going to happen, he noticed something else about his hand. The wrist wasn’t covered in bad bruises anymore-- in fact, it seemed as though the bone itself had healed. Even the gash on his cheek had vanished.

At first, it really did seem like it had stopped, but he thought to soon. His feet were quickly attacked with aches and pains, and the similar sting forced Ian to kick his shoes off, and pull off his socks to find a similar change as well, only his feet appeared more like the flippers that you’d buy at the scuba store.

“This…Isn’t happening..” Ian murmured underneath his breathe fearfully, tears faintly visible in his eyes. “What did you do?!” His gaze grabbed at Jessie angrily, but it was soon interrupted as pain erupted through his hips, and up to his torso, this time forcing a sharp, agonized yell to escape his lips. His joint fingers grabbed at his torso as he screamed, a sharp pressure forming in two specific points in his stomach and chest as two, boney ridges forced their way around his torso painfully. They protruded out just enough to be noticeable through even his thick shirt.

But that wasn’t the end of it. The burn in Ian’s ears suddenly magnified itself as the skin upon them flattened into what seemed to be just a circular flab of skin now. The small point at the top of his ear thinned, and spiked out, another one similar formed at the bottom of it.

Finally stopping, Ian took a moment to take a terrified chance and examine the damage made. Hesitantly, he sat up straighter, and pulled the bottom him of his shirt up to his chest to gaze in horror at the sharp, bony ridges protruding from his torso, completely disintegrating the maturing abs that he had worked so hard to get back home.

"What did you do to me!" Ian yelled as his sharp eyes targeted themselves upon Jessie. He stood up, stumbling for a moment or two as he stepped into the water, his fists clenched tightly.

He honestly looked as though he were going to pounce the boy.

It was just as Jessie feared, this guy was changing to, just like Wesley and Hailey he was growing webbing on his hands, and pointed ears like his own. Oh god, just how contagious was this virus, the stranger had even touched him, or coming into the water near him, or even gotten remotely close to him. Wesley was right to try and quarantine those of them who’d been infected. As Ian fell back he could only watch helplessly, there wasn’t much he could do for him now.

But Ians change was different of his or anyone else’s, he’d grow what looked like boney sections in his torso. There was something very wrong with this island, no one seemed to be sharing any of their changes, only webbing appeared to be guaranteed. I…I didn’t do anything…” he muttered.

Jessie flinched and prepared to shield himself with his forearms as Ian approached. “I didn’t do anything!” he yelled back. He just knew he was in trouble.

Ian hardly seemed as though he were in the mood to listen. It was really hard to make him angry, but... When he was, well. He wasn't the greatest listener...And well, he never had the reputation of going easy on someone back home.

"Liar! Change me back, now!" Ian prepared a threatening fist to throw at Jessie, but right as he neared him, his new-found foot fins took a disliking to the slick sand in the water, and instantly he fell forward upon the boy, rather than punching him. But, he quickly used the inconvenience to his advantage, and as they splashed into the water, managed to get his hands around Jessie's throat.

"Change me back or I swear I'll kill you!"

“I’m not lying, i-its this virus or something, I’m sorry you cau-“ but it was too late, Ian wasn’t listening and ready to punch him. He raise his arms to defend himself as he drew closer. He lowered him arms however once he saw Ian was falling over in front of him, it was going to be okay, or so he thought.

“I ca-can’t! he choked through his forcibly clenched windpipe. This guy wasn’t listening, Jessie had to fight back, he trashed his legs, trying to kick him, but the dense water as far from the best place to try and kick someone. He didn’t have choice, he went for his gut with his own fist.

Wesley refrained from calling out Jessie's name as he searched the jungle for the boy. So near the beach, the waves drowned out so much, it was rather pointless. Jessie had said he had been going out for a walk, and Wesley knew he wasn't about to run off again, but having to search for the boy was rather irritating. Breaking out onto the beach, he checked the shoreline. Nothing much to his right, anyway. Heading left, he was pushing a palm tree's leaves out of his face when he saw a struggle in the water - one was identifiably Jessie, the other had blackish hair - but the ears were fanned out. Oh Bloody Hell. Jessie's infected Ian. Sprinting as fast as his altered feet could carry him, he rushed to the scene. There were a dozen things he could do, but few of them were likely to succeed. He hadn't been in a fight since fencing at school, and those were meant as playful things.

Rushing into the water, he came up behind Ian and moved his staff to be horizontal. Sliding the bar in front of the boy, and praying to God the pair of rings around his chest were painful already, he gripping the other end as it came into view. He then thrust the bar backwards very, very hard. Using gravity as a second stage, he thrust himself to fall sideways into the water, hopefully dragging the boy with him. It was the only thing Wesley could think of. If Wesley wa lucky, the boy had just got the wind knocked out of him and then been cut off from his air supply. Of course, if it worked, there wa a chance that Wesley would become a bigger target, as well.

If Ian didn’t kill Jessie, he would sure as hell leave some nasty bruises. But, much to his dismay, his grip loosened as Jessie’s fist nailed itself into his stomach, making him momentarily gasp for air. But, as he attempted to recuperate himself, there was an interference between him and the boy, and within seconds, he felt an unexpected staff slam itself into his ribs, which unfortunately, were already extremely sore from the pain he’d gone through only moments ago. He let out a sharp yell, both filled with anger and pain alike as he felt himself be forcefully dragged off Jessie, and pulled into the water, his breathe completely pressed out of his lungs for the moment.

Ian gasped for breathe desperately as he forced himself to scramble away several steps from Wesley, and Jessie as well. Though, he continually tripped and slipped, before he fell flat into the water again, and what little breathe he had gave out on him. He was a mess-- one could very well be able to tell that he wasn't one for change.

Jessie wasn’t sure if he was fairing well against Ian, mainly because he was frantically gasping for air and trashing about in the water in a vain attempt to throw his attacker off. But, yes! Amongst the scramble he’s managed to land a hit, it had defiantly works as he was able to suck in a much needs mouthful of air Ian’s grip loosened.

Sudden Ian was pulled away from him. ”What the-“ he gasped, finally able to breath as he feel back onto him butt in the shallow water. ”Wesley?”

“What the hell do you think your doing!?” he yelled, as he massaged his sore neck with one free hand. His usual calmness replaced by near blind rage, his tentacles wriggled about accordingly.

Wesley launched himself out of the water, gasping for breath. Jumping to his feet in the knee-high water, He had both his hands on his staff, which was horizontally level - pointing at both boys faces. He lost his glasses somewhere in the fall, but he only needed them for distance, anyway. "NOBODY MOVE, UNLESS THEY WANT A FACE FULL OF STEEL!" It was a risky maneuver, and if one of them called his bluff he would attempt to aim lower. Wesley was going for shock value here. He hd to throw his head side to side to keep a wide eye on the pair of them, but he would be damned if he wasn't going to follow through on his threat. "I'm saving both your BLOODY necks! You listen to me, and listen well! This isn't some BLOODY resort, with a BLOODY first aid station, to BLOODY kiss you better! You so much as break a limb, and goodbye! You'll never carry a fork again, or walk for that matter! If either of those sounds appealing to you, I'll be on my way and leave you two here to ROT! Otherwise, I don't want to see either of you lay a finger on each other unless you're going to make out! YOU TWO BLOODY GOT ME?!"

Marshall law was never a good thing, but at the moment, it looked like Wesley was the only one for the job... again. He just hoped they listened.
