Is it just me or does it seem that it's becoming more and more fashionable to be curvy? Keira Knightly wants to put on weight? Beth Ditto's being praised for her weight. Lily Allen's a role model for young girl's being a UK 12. That's about an American 10. It seems curvy girls are getting alot less stick for it than last year. I've even been hit on more in clubs, even online, and out and about. Even fashionable clothes at the moment look better on curves than sticks.  Yuk Yay I love Dove.

I prefer curvy girls, I hate feeling peoples bones through skin even if it's on their nose. I hate hugging scarily skinny people.

But yes, curves are very good. I only would be with a skinny girl if I couldn't see her ribs and she had an amazing personality.

In all honesty, I don't think it's becoming more fashionable. If you seek out plus-sized positive groups, you're going to hear more plus-sized positive things.... such as the Kiera Knightly thing, which I have never heard anywhere else (albeit I'm not in the know on most celebrity things). If you aren't in a plus size group, or from the UK it seems (because I hear more news from the UK about Beth Ditto than I've ever heard here) you probably have little to no clue who Beth Ditto is.
I highly doubt you'd have ease finding a cover to a magazine like this in the US:
It's easier for me to find cute clothes in my size 'cause I know where to look. I get more attention because I've gained more confidence, and confidence is key. I don't know if you will agree, but have you gained more confidence in the past year for whatever reason? Through finding fat-positive groups, etc?
And honestly, Dove just probably realized it'd be easier to market their stuff if they seem to give a crap about the actual women buying it, the women that need the items. If these women really thought they were that great, they wouldn't need Dove products.

I do find you feel better being in those groups.
Also though I know girls trying to put weight on because clothes they like look weird not filled out.

If anything, I'm getting the impression the UK is becoming more accepting.

Among people I know it is not becoming any more acceptable to be curvy. They still want to be thin, to fit into their lame little stick figure clothes... whatever, friends. Go for it.
Oh! And speaking of real women have curves, that's a GREAT MOVIE!!!! I love it. Looove, love. heart And recommend!

Curves for the win!
Unfortunately, around here, it still seems to be fashionabel to look like a walking stick. :/ And the clothes you can buy here are still made for them... DX
But at least the girls are starting to care for their boobs and stuffing their bras again. XD
