Nomia had been quite fed up with Lethe's pranks lately so she decided to let the child go off on her own. She was getting older, and more able to protect herself....heck, she could swim faster than any other Naiad she'd ever seen, so if trouble came, Lethe could get away quick. Besides, how much trouble could one little child naiad get into?
Indeed, how much trouble could she get into? Lethe was certainly gonna try and find out!
This early morning, the young, pink naiad girl was exploring the bottom of the lake, not too far from her home, but far enough Nomia couldn't find it f she wanted to. She scouring the lake bed, looking for things ... any type of thing really. Anything she could use to have a little fun.

Something incredibly girly pink was swimming nearby; the silver and purple boy could see it. Bah, girly, Calder wasn't too fond of icky pretty things. He had watched some of the pae teen girls on the beach one day and was completely unimpressed with their hairpins and their giggliness and their boobies; what good were chest lumps when they'd just get in the way of fun stuff? Calder looked around reflexively; he didn't like to say bad things in front of his mom and felt guilt at even thinking them at times. But his mom was not around, so he was free to be as naughty as he wanted.
He crept up as well as one could in a big open lake, curious about the girly blob. If nothing else he could poke it and otherwise find ways to terrorize it. Today wouldn't be completely boring.

So engrossed was Lethe in her search for 'nothing' that she hadn't been able to hear the swishing water around her as she was stalked. Spying a conch shell that seemed to wiggling in the sand, she'd darted for it, only to stop dead in her path when the crab living inside came out and surprised her.
Not that she was scared of crabs, as she wasn't, but she'd never seen one live in a shell that before and she was startled.
