I hear volume 13 of Sgt.Frog is coming out June 12. I get this info from Amazon which said you could reserve it and whhen it was coming out

Why is there such a gap between volume releases? I remember when the most was about two months, but now it seems longer...

Sergeant Major Kururu Why is there such a gap between volume releases? I remember when the most was about two months, but now it seems longer... I think that it's because the American releases have finally caught up to the Japanesse releases.

I think that it's because the American releases have finally caught up to the Japanesse releases. I agree with this statement. Volume 14 was just released in Japan in February, so with Tokyopop being at 13 they're much closer, now.

There was such a lag because 1-10 had come out in Japan first and were being released in Japan every six months, now they've printed 1-10 and now they're waiting for more to be made first. They were always made every 6 months in the first place, just now they're waiting to make more... To tell you ahve to check the original printing dates and the tokyopop date. Also yeah I knew it was coming out June 12 since I reserved it last september...

There was such a lag because 1-10 had come out in Japan first and were being released in Japan every six months, now they've printed 1-10 and now they're waiting for more to be made first. They were always made every 6 months in the first place, just now they're waiting to make more... The main reason why there's such a big gap between the volumes is because the manga is a monthly publication, one chapter per month. That means it takes a lot longer to get enough chapters to make a full volume.
