EDIT: 2008 listings start HERE.A great big new mess of Con listings has arrived in my Yahoo box. This time I will leave it intact for a while before I start deleting the ones I have no interest in keeping. If you want to know if there is a con in your City, State, surrounding states or country, tell me what you want me to look up. **It is NOT sufficient to just say where you are & expect me to figure out what all the adjoining areas are. State where you want me to look, and I can scan the list much faster. **It will be up to you to search for the con website once I give you the name of the con. I will give you the dates also, though.
**I do seem to have at least a couple outside the US, & one seems to be in Australia.
Every few months I get a new mess of these listings, so I will let you know right here when that happens.

*Raises eyebrow* No interest at all? I thought some of you said you wanted to go to cons. I'm going to dump all these e-mails soon if nobody shows interest. They're taking up a lot of space in my e-mail.

These are not in chronological order, just in the order I found them amid my e-mails. smile These cons are all going to have art shows in them--that's why I get these mailings. Any other cons that do not have art shows won't be in my pile of mailings.

Also--my friends in VA go to Marscon all the time. They like it. Last year there were Pirates there. biggrin ):Quote: Heroes Convention, Charlotte, NC, June 25-17, 2007 Anime Midatlantic, Richmond, VA, June 15-17, 2007 Marscon, Hampton Roads, VA, Jan 18-20, 2008 NekoCon, Hampton, VA, Nov 2-4, 2007 Trinccon, Raleigh, NC, Aug 3-5, 2007 Tsubasacon, Huntington, WV, Oct 5-7, 2007 rainyeyes (I take it these places are all California & Nevada you specified. There was also one con in Denver, CO.):Quote: Silicon, San Jose, CA, Oct 5-7, 2007

Thanks for that. That actually ought to work out pretty nicely, as I ought to have my student bus pass by then, as well as a job with which to fund the inevitable spending spree.

Yup, you have a whole year to save money, make reservations, & maybe find friends to share expenses. See if you can get advance memberships; it can save you a lot!

I went to Heroes a couple of times, but it was years ago. I really enjoyed it. I got to meet Mark Crilley, creator of the comic Akiko. He's a nice guy. He had a hardback-bound journal he took to cons & got fans to draw art for him. I drew a unicorn in his book. whee Stan Sakai, creator of Usagi Yojimbo was there too, but his line was immense. I also met Linda Medley, creator of Castle Waiting. I bought a cool poster that has lots of characters from the series we haven't seen in the comics yet!

Thank you smile I don't know what will happen with me between now and October, but I might be able to go by then. The only downside would be that it's in the middle of the semester and I don't have much money yet.

Abyss_Jin: No, sorry--so far no cons for Canada...although some more started appearing today & that may change. smile
More West Coast Cons!Quote: Conjecture, San Diego, CA, Sep 28-30, 2007 Coppercon, Sep 7-9, 2007, Phoenix, AZ Bubonicon, Albuquerque, NM MileHiCon, Denver, CO, Oct 26-28, 2007 I also see multiple listings for some other places, like Tennessee, Illinois, Florida & Maryland. Usually when I get more listings I get a whole pile of them, so more may turn up in the next day or so.
