I just found an amazing website, which offers instructions on the manufacture and operation of an alcohol producing still.

One 25-30 liter (6-7 US gallons) food grade, non-colored, wine fermentation bucket with a cork and thermostat heater.
12.6 inch roundplate
One small bucket, exactly 4 inches high.
One ten liter bucket that is 9 inches in height.
One fermentation water lock.
A digital cooking thermometer that will monitor the mash temperature.
