Now, THIS weather was more to his liking!
The rain had let up earlier this evening, just after the sun had set. The clouds had remained, though, and seemed content to sink towards the earth. The mountain forests were wreathed in fog; long fingers of it reached towards the stallion where he walked on a narrow path. He smiled to himself and shook drops of water from his mane, noting how even the tinkling of his indian beads were muffled in the darkness.
Yes, perfect indeed.
He headed towards the lowlands where he knew more indians lived, away from his boy. This winter had been hard, and as much as he liked to pretend otherwise, Rem was worried about Ohanzee. Worried enough to go back to his old ways...
Not that it took too much inticement. Rem laughed softly to himself and increased his pace to a steady jog.

Hurary for the rain being gone. Being stuck underneath the forest trees was no place Zhenga really wanted to be. Definatly not.
Even though she had wings, she'd rather be running through the slippery, wet fields then flying through the moist air. Flying just wasn't one of her things. Though some would think other wise. Perhaps she shouldn't of been born with wings? Oh well.
She had made her way out towards the Kawani village and was running through their wheat fields. Though to the dismay to a few of the farmers who drove her off but not before she gave them a few kicks of mud and a quick whinny of a laughter. It was too much fun sometimes to mess with the two leggers. Though she didn't do it often and they did have a bit of an understanding between one another. Perhaps it was just her wild nature to cause a little trouble here and there. But she didn't do too much damage.

The forest began to thin out, trees replaced by scraggly, low-growing scrub, that seemed to loom up out of the twilight. Rem ghosted between them and eased his way closer to the human tents; his eyes searched the warmly lit teepees for one he knew well -
There. Unmistakable! Only Shikoba would paint his tent like THAT.
Rem paused on the edge of the farmed lands, ears swivling to catch the sound of anyone approaching. He would wait here for the torches and fires to burn low, then move closer. Shikoba had give Ohanzee a hard time, and by Rem's reckoning he more than deserved what he was gonna get.
The stallion was just relaxing and preparing for a long wait when movement caught his eye. A dark, quick equine form swept across the fields in front of him, and he thought he caught the sound of laughter.
Curious, he followed at a quick lope.

As the mare finally pranced out of the fields, she stopped a few feet away from the edges of the grain. Shooting a coy grin at the farmers who yelled at her but gave them not a second though before she watched them tend to the areas she had flattened benath her hooves.
Her long, slender tail gave a few playful flicks back and forth as she turned and pranced towards the tree line. Though she did not go into the forest. Tucking her legs underneath her small body, she lowered herself to the ground for a rest. That little play time had tired her out a bit. A little rest couldn't hurt and then she'd be off to find something else to preoccupy her time with.
But for now, she'd just watch the farmers as they mumbled and cursed. Her black wings tucked tightly against her sides, silver eyes dancing with a bit of glee.

Rem kept trailing her, not sure if she knew he was there or not. His gaze flickered to the farmers - and their flattened crops - and he laughed softly. He'd have to keep these... pranks... in mind! Looked like fun.
But now, maybe he could procure a business partner...
His attention went back to the mare; she was gone. Confused, he increased his pace and trotted around a low scrub bush - Oh. The stallion pulled up short, hooves digging into the soft earth to avoid accidentally stepping on the mare.
Wasn't -she- a lovely girl? Rem's mouth stretched in a grin that he didn't bother to hid.
"Out for a bit of fun tonight, love?" The stallion tossed his head in the direction of the farmers and laughed. Of course, she might seem like the type, but you never knew. He might as well test the waters. "You do this often?"

Zhenga's head snapped around to look at the stallion who had nearly stepped on her. Of course, it would be pretty easy to step on her with where she way laying. But she was pink! How could you miss pink? It was a curious question that she'd keep in mind.
She eyed his wide grin, her chest still heaving a bit from all the running away she had done. The fluffy end of her tail tapped against the soft ground as she ruffled her wings a bit. "It's alway fun to push the limits of the two leggers sometimes." Silver orbs inched their way across his body as she took in all his markings and colors. He wasn't a natural looking Soquili, but at least he had some semi normal looking colors anyway. No wings. Another wingless. It really made her think that perhaps she was the only one.
"Not too often. Or they start to expect it. Spontanious pranks always keep them on their toes." Her gaze flicked back to the farmers as she gave a small giggle. They seemed to be taking in the flattened grain since propping them back up would really do no good. But it was close to harvest time anyway.

He noticed her gaze and decided a bit of looking never hurt anyone. His own golden eyes took in the pink coat and black markings -
And the wings.
He hadn't known Soquili could have WINGS. They looked real... and they moved like real wings...
Could she fly then?
Realizing he was staring, he coughed and averted his gaze. Business. Yes. That's what he needed to concentrate on. He shook his head to clear it, making his beads clatter together like small bells.
"Well, in light of -that- information, I was wondering," Rem shifted slightly and his gaze met the mare's own. "... I mean, I have a business proposition for you."

Raising an eyebrow, she gave him a curious glance. What exactly was this stallion up to? Well, she was sure she'd find out soon enough.
Tilting her head slightly, her braids fell along her shoulders as she did so. "A business proposition? What kind of...business proposition?"
Her mind was moving a mile a minute as she tried to guess what he meant by that. Though the expression on her face didn't show what she was thinking. It could be any number of things that her mind could stir up. She'd never been offered a 'business' proposition before. How strange.

"What kind?" He laughed softly. "The good kind, I hope."
Golden eyes shifted to gaze towards the two-legger village. Shikoba's tent was dark, and because he was 'so much better' than the other humans (Rem snorted at the thought), it was a was a fair distance from the nearest tent.
"You see that tent, the big, bright red one a little ways off from those other ones?" He flicked his tail in the direction of the garish home, but he wasn't worried that she wouldn't notice. Even in the dark it was obvious. "I need to st- ... ah, I mean, I need a distraction so I can get into it. You did so] well with those farmers, I thought maybe..." He shrugged. "You get the idea, no?"
He arched a brow and grinned at her. "It wouldn't be for nothing, love. Interested?"

Zhenga's head was still tilted as she took in his little business proposition. Her eyes flicked towards the teepee he motioned towards for a second before they moved back to look at him.
"Why would you want to go into a two leggers teepee though? What is in there that so catches your fancy?" The mare was all up for having a bit of fun with the two leggers again, but she was just curious as to what his intentions were with getting into that teepee.
"Yea, yea. I get the idea. Wouldn't be for nothing? What would I get in return?" This truely was a curious proposition. One that had never been offered to her before. Of course, she had never been given a proposition to cause mischeif before anyways!

"Oh, nothing attracts my eye... at the moment." He shrugged. "But I happen to know that this particular two-legger is... wealthy. And he's cause more than enough trouble for my two-legger to owe him a visit."
That stallion tossed his mane and snorted. "In short, he's a b*****d. But I'm not st... erm, trying to get into his teepee for that reason. I just like it." The grin returned, not a bit apologetic.
"As far as reward..."
Rem raised an eyebrow. He had no idea what a mare like her would want. She had wings, after all! And... he eyed her. Was that a horn? So a unicorn! A... unicorn pegasus? Was she MAGIC? Ha! Probably not.
Yeah, anyways. Rem shook his head, amused and irritated with himself at the same time. Stay focused! She had beeds in her mane and had no need of them in her tail...
"I suppose it would depend on what you wanted."

"Two-legger wealth has no real meaning to me. It's like one Soquili having more apples than another. Eventually both will have the same amount, weither one goes and gets more of the other eats a few of his apples." Zhenga had grown tired of laying down, plus she was rested now from her previous excursion. She rose to her hooves and gave her body a quick shake to free it of any grass or leaves that had decided to attach themselves.
A curious tilt of her head was given as she eyed the stallion once more. "Well, I suppose some Soquili like going into two-legger's teepees." Her slender tail gave a few swishes back and forth. The fluffy end brushing against the grass beneath her.
The mare nibbled on her bottom lip for a moment in thought. There really wasn't much she wanted in this world. Zhenga wasn't all that materialistic. "Lets just leave it at once I figure out something I'd like in return I'll tell you."

Rem shrugged again, and gave the mare a crooked smile.
"It's not the items, not really. It's the thrill that I do it for." He laughed. "Of course, my two-legger gives me an excuse to as well, what with him being poor and living in the mountains."
It was true, after all. And Rem didn't need much of an excuse to do anything like this! Although he did feel a little guilt when he st- borrowed from people who didn't have much to start off with. But after all, if you could be robbed, you were asking for it anyways.
Guilt or innocence aside, the stallion was getting ancy. Time to get going, or go home! And since home wasn't an option -
"Here's the deal, love - you prance about and cause a general ruckus, drawing him outta that red monstrosity he calls a teepee." The stallion watched her lion's tail wave back and forth for a moment before drawing his attention back to work. "And I'll sneak in when he's off chasing after you. Won't be a moment's work, and I'll be on my way. Meet me back here when you're through, hmm?"
He started to pick his way towards the now dark village. Then he paused, turning back to regard the mare over his shoulder. "Oh, and the name's Rem, by the way. You?"

The mare's tail twitched back and forth in thought for a moment before giving a nod of her head. "Alright then. I suppose I can help you out." Her silver eyes danced with an almost eerie glee as she thought about just how she would go about it.
Her wings opened a bit as she cantered forward then past Rem like smoke caught in a breeze. Turning her head only momentarily to reply. "Zhenga." And with that she was off like a flash towards the village. Nearly a pink and black blur as she raced towards the teepees which grew larger as she got near.

The stallion watched her pass, nodding as she shared her name. Zhenga - not bad. Foreign, but what did he expect? This was a foreign place, after all. Stranger in a strange land, an' all that. He could get a fresh start, be clean, have a good relationship with the people here...
Ha. Rem grinned and started after Zhenga, his hooves nearly silent in the gloom. Each step was precisely placed, years of experience at his craft honing his skills. He approached the village like a wraith and slowed, waiting for the tell-tale signs that the mare had begun her work.
Khairi wouldn't approve of this method, but at least Rem was doing something!
Huffing at the thought, the stallion settled in to wait. He suspected he wouldn't be waiting long.
