I like the original Marios for NES, but I'm addicted to Mariokart as well... and Paper Mario, can't forget that... so which ones do you guys like best? Mario is probably one of the longest-running series ever.
Also, which is your favorite Mario character? I like Toad... just 'cause he's a mushroom dude. Discuss all things related to our favorite plumber!
(PS - how cool is the Mario theme song? Warren can play it on the guitar... it freaks me out).

Super Mario 64 hands down.
I think it was when Mario first donned the winged cap and, being in 1st grade back then, (oh God, was it really that long ago?!) it had a really magical feeling that let one control where Mario flew in those 3D worlds. The game itself was really revolutionary in that it took Mario from 2D to 3D platforms.
Ah, the nostalgia... heart

My faves have to be...
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (awesomeness biggrin )
Mario Tennis: Power Tour
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (EVEN MORE AWESOMENESS! And it had FAWFUL~ heart )
My favorite Mario characters are the heroes (Mario, Luigi, Peach), Bowser, and FAWFUL! heart I HAVE FURY! whee

Me? My favorite is the yoshi's island game. You know, where Mario is a baby. My favorite character, if you can't already tell, is Yoshi. ^_^ Yes yes, me looooove the lizard!

For the system, I like the Gamecube the best. I mean, it's in a box shape! I love that!
For my favorite game...Mario Kart 64. Good times, godd times...
My favorite character is Yoshi, hands down. I tend to take a liking to animals than humans...or maybe it's similar brain capacity...I just called myself stupid and I don't care...

I love Super Mario Bros. 3. It was the first video game I ever played! <3 SMB2 (USA version) is also good, black sheep as it may be.
I also like Super Princess Peach because it's full of silly goodness. xD I call it Super PMS Peach.
My favorite character is Peach. xD I kick butt with her in SSBM!

Super Mario 64, ftw. It was the only game where I spent over six hours fascinated by my ability to swim in three dimensions.

Personally, I'm the retro kinda of girl. So, that the orginal ones for me! I love Yoshi. Who doesn't like the green dino? He eats turtle for God's Sake!
