I heard that UK 18+ clothes are going to come with health warnings soon about obesity.
I'm a UK 14-16 but my mum's about a 20 and I'm so worried about how she's going to feel, it probably won't affect her but I'm such a mummy's girl.
><
I think it's going to cause alot of prejudice and discrimination.
Why not put them on super skinny sizes?

I think the UK is a little more health-concious and fat-hostile than the USA. =(

thats actually very interesting.
i know in america i wear a size 38-40 (thank god for mens pants....womens sizes confuse me like crazy) but whenever i check them out the store clerks always give me these dirty looks (which i find hilarious though annoying)
the reason theyve never bothered with skinnier sizes being a health hazard is because of the social idea that skinny = healthy unless youve been outted as an anorexic/bulimic. (that and normally younger girls wear smaller sizes as well so they are assuming that as well.)
im curious. what is the equvilant of a uk 14-16 in the us?

a 12-14? meaning your moms 20 is rough 16-18?
thats nothing i would think. actually that whole range is quite nice (if you set aside where we actually are for a moment lol)
but will has a point...any word on the mens side of this or is it one of those things where the women cant be bigger that what the country belives to be fat.
i actually wish i took my study abroad oppurtunity to london last year. ive always wanted to see that place. working at disneyland has made me realize that whole austrailian/english accent on women is pretty sexy sweatdrop that and they are nice.....i couldnt tell if it was just because they were at disneyland or not haha.

lol
i feel bad when people aske me for help and i cant understand their accent XP
i might be able to. i get made fun of for talking really fast alot and mumbling (by my own family too hehe.) people just need to open their ears.
then again i supposedly have a "so cal" accent....god i hate being associated with the so cal steriotype just becasue i live here. i actually cant stand most southern californians.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Some people just like to have their clothes a little bigger on them. Many people can't help how much they weigh. And there are people out there who say ******** SOCIETY, and they actually LIKE how they are.
