Here, you post one post which you will edit, having an organized list of books you have read for pleasure, including title, author, date of beginning, and date of ending. Here is a good example: Quote: [.Volatile.]'s Reading List [Example] [o] Book-Author-Starting Date-Ending Date-Stars [x] Don Quixote-Cervantes-April 26,2007-May 15, 2007-** [x] My Sister's Keeper-Jodi Picoult-June 18,2007-August 09,2007-***** [x] From The Corner Of His Eye-Dean Koontz-August 30-September 3,2007-*** [x] Moby d**k-Herman Melville-September 6,2007- ?-? Do Not post an unfinished book, unless you put it in white just for a self-memo. Highlight the text below the last visible book review.
PLEASE post the key which is next to the [o]. Copy and paste that and then use the [x]'s next to the actual reports. You do not report any books up to now. You may only log the ones that are starting today or later. Also...After the last day of december of every year, you must clear your list and start over. 3nodding Any information I may have left out about the book club may be found in this quote from the announcement labeled "Why Do We Need A Purple Penguin Book Club?" =>
[.Volatile.] Why...May You Ask...Do we need a book club? Well in class today, the teacher was talking about summer reading...and it dawned on me... Almost Everybody likes to read SOMETHING! Heck...There's even a post out now by miss Fairytiger, I do believe it is, about favorite books. So...What I request is that you guys read books, post reviews, be they good or bad, talk about tastes and such, and assignments. If you need a summary, for instance, maybe a fellow member has read the book and can help you out! There are numerous reasons why we need one. All I ask is that you behave yourselves as always. ;-] The other post will be a counting post. I ask everyone wanting to take part to post once. That post they will edit every time they read a book that IS NOT assigned by college, primary school, parents, or any extra curricular club that you are in. These are books you read for pleasure. If it was given on a list by a teacher and you had to read one, and you actually read the book because you wanted to, that'll count. If there are like only two or three books, not like eight to choose from though, and you feel like it really is an assignment and you aren't getting joy from the book, that would count as an assignment book and would not be allowed. The person with the biggest amount of books at the end of the year, the last day of december, will receive an award and possibly a present. We have to work those out. Anyway, I wish you all good reading and good luck!

Usually...but since it is very recent, that'll work. I did that mostly so people wouldn't be putting books they had a long time ago and such...and also because it'd be easier to remember so people won't be trying to figure out dates.
